Chapter 7- Seconds to battle
Although Bradwarden and his centaurs were hardened warriors, the best of the best, the battle was beginning to take it's toll. The centaurs were beginning to tire as more and more of the nagas came from the sea and the rocky cliffs above.
Even as Bradwarden fought his way through the naga warriors fiercely, he could feel his reflexes starting to slow. In this shape, he would never stand a chance against the sea monster.
"Aidan, report!" yelled Bradwarden over the chaos to one of his advisors who was locked in battle with two naga warriors. Bradwarden was squaring off with four of them.
"So far two of our ships have been destroyed by the leviathan, another is fighting to stay afloat. The damned naga set it on fire!" shouted Aidan back at his cheiftain. "Graah! Die you fools!" he roared sending an ancient centaur spell at the space between his adversaries. Instantly, they were sucked together and bound by an invisible twine.
Chopping hard at the disabled naga warriors, he decapitated them. As the naga fell lifelessly to the floor he wiped spittle from the corner of his mouth. "And they say centaurs know nothing about magic."
"Command the rest to prepare to get the naga off the ship, whatever the cost. We need to get out of here." rumbled Bradwarden, parrying two spears with both sides of his broad axe.
"Isn't that..something dishonourable? We as centaurs are brave and do not cower away from foul beasts!" protested Aidan.
"It is the smart way. You should know that." Bradwarden said while sending a shockwave of massive proportions cleaving through a few of the nagas. Instantly the naga were lifted off their feet and flew a few meters into the air before landing on the deck, injured and barely able to rise.
"But-"
"But nothing, you shall follow my orders as I am chief!" Bradwarden was beggining to lose his temper, he had enough problems and now he had to deal the insubordination of his officers.
"As you wish sir.." Aidan said darkly, casting a final glance at Bradwarden before turning away to alert the others.
Bradwarden jumped off the deck of his ship to another ship in the fleet.
There the beast stood, towering over the centaurs and naga on the deck, swiping occasionally and whipping it's weapon, a giant rusty anchor around in deadly circles.
The naga as well as the centaurs fell victim to the anchor which not only impaled but flung the victims up into the sky.
Bradwarden roared and sent a shockwave similar to the one he used earlier. The shockwave hit its target but hardly had any effect on the leviathan. It was similar to throwing a stone at a brick wall.
The sea monster slowly walked up to Bradwarden. Even in the midst of battle, the centaurs and the naga made way for the giant to pass for fear of getting squashed by the beast's giant feet.
Bradwarden readied his axe, eyes locked in a deadly stare with the creature.
A gurgling sound suddenly issued from somewhere behind Bradwarden and he ducked in time. A small yet very strong wave flew from the sea as if alive and flew straight at bradwarden.
The wave missed and hit the deck. The effect was devastating, a gaping hole in the deck signified where the wave struck.
Bradwarden stared in wonder. Obviosly the creature had a certain degree of control over the seas.
"Well lets see if you're as tough as you seem!" Bradwarden roared, charging with his battle axe lifted high.
The creature locked its anchor with Bradwarden's axe and threw it upwards, disarming Bradwarden.
"Noo.My axe!"
The creature now began attacking the defenceless Bradwarden with its huge anchor, twisting and spinning. Even the other centaurs that were trying to help their chief were killed instantly as the anchor smashed into them.
Bradwarden felt his strength ebb, he was dying, barely able to stand up as each attempt was only rewarded by a bash by the anchor.
Screeches could suddenly be heard from above.
Not less than a dozen chimeras flew overhead and started blowing their icy and fiery breath, igniting the scene and freezing the attacking nagas.
"They're....helping..us.." Aidan stared, dumbfounded.
The naga's spears were no use against the chimeras that were circling too high up. The powerful elemental attacks left many of the nagas charred and frozen.
The sea monster stopped attacking Bradwarden to see what was happening around him. It merely shrugged off some of the fiery and icy balls that hit it. The hide of the creature gave it resistance against attacks and made it very hard to hit.
A few waves suddenly flew from the ocean and hit a chimera that was flying too low. The creature shrieked before plummeting into the sea and becoming prey for the waiting nagas.
As if in retaliation, the chimeras started to focus all their attacks on the sea monster.
A huge chimera came from behind and suddenly let out a dual wave of fire and ice on the monster. This time, the attack had some effect on the monster. It gave a shriek and tried to hit the chimera with a few gushes of water.
The dragon expertly flew and evaded the attacks that were launched at it.
Inhaling deeply before exhaling, one of the dragon's heads unleashed an endless stream of fire than blanketed the area around the sea monster, cooking it alive.
Shrieking and thrashing around in the searing heat, the leviathan found the edge of the boat and crawled into the water.
The chimeras had done their job, finishing off the rest of the naga on the cliffs with a few bursts of flame, they flew off.

Fort Natharion
Shortly after being called to the planning room, Sven had begun discussing battle strategies and tactics that might hold the undead off for long enough while they waited for reinforcements.
He had just learned that the already powerful undead force had just grown in size after raiding a few villages and converting the corpses into undead warriors.
Sven and the other high ranking officers of the fort, Yurnero, the juggernaut and Nurmengraff or better known as Zeus, a dwarf with godly powers able to summon lightning from the heavens itself.
"We will use the hills flanking the battlefield as a place to position our archers and rain arrows upon them. With spellcasters on one hill and archers on another, we can destroy the army in a matter of minutes,"Yurnero suggested. The orc swordsman was certainly an experienced and skilled one. No wonder he was well known throughout the land as the best there has ever been.
"Aye, use the hills, I will lead the spell casters while yeh drow, can yeh handle em archers?" Nurmengraff spoke suddenly.
From the shadows, a drow appeared, she was certainly one of the last of her kind as the drows were thought to be almost extinct. She had sharp features and her eyes were extremely focused.
"Yes, the archers..I suggest the ground infantry set up a shield roof when you give the signal for us to fire to avoid any...mishaps," she spoke quietly.
"Then it is settled, Yurnero and I will lead the charge of the ground infantry and we will wedge the undead army in two where one halve will be killed by the spell casters while the other by the archers." concluded Sven, rising up.
"Wait, and after all our mana and arrows has been spent, what will you do?" Asked Zeus.
"We will lead them to the forest where the treats and ents will thrash them.
After that, we will let the cannons finish off the rest. As an emergency measure, we could send out our cavalry.." Yurnero wisely said after pausing for a few seconds to think.
"It is settled then, we will really teach them a lesson not to mess with the Sentinel," said Sven with the air of a man ready for anything.
"We mobilise immediately and set up our defences. It will be a close battle."

Sorry for the late chapter..been a bit busy..and lazy..I think I shall pick back up from where we left our two adventurers, magina and kardel..
Chapter 8 - Trials
The night was still and the moonlight shone brightly across the land. The sky was like a huge black canvas, stretching for eternity, dotted with numerous stars and constellations, it was said the be where the ancients aquired their knowledge of navigation.....
Magina sat on top of a huge rock on the edge of a cliff, enjoying the serenity of the night. Below him was a vast forest explored by few and home to many creatures in the land of Azeroth.
An owl hooted nearby and a cool breeze rustled the leaves on the trees. Whenever the wind blew, the leaves would rustle and wave like waves in a vast ocean.
A sudden movement from behind Magina made him spin around, nearly losing his balance on the edge of the rock.
It was the priestess..
"You have not said much all day, you hardly ate and hardly rested. Your friend, Kardel is worried about you. Are you okay?" the priestess said gently.
"Just...dwelling into the land of the past, into the land of my memmories.." Magina replied, hardly moving.
"The past can be a curse or a blessing. We should not hang on to the memories of the past too much. Instead, we should use the knowledge and experience to make sure we never repeat our mistakes again," she whispered.
"I'm sorry, but I didn't catch your name?" Magina asked, turning ever so slightly to face her.
Her beauty was beyond measure. No longer wearing her battle armor, instead a loose gown, her slender curves and her angelic face were amplified even further by the way the moonlight hit her.
"Mirana, just call me Mirana," she replied, smiling.
"So..Mirana..would you like to have a seat?" Magina gestured to the rock he was sitting on.
"Sure.."
And with that, she sat beside him and they talked about their own lives deep into the night..
***
Magina awoke with a start. Apparently, somebody was very keen on making his presence noticed. The knocks on the door did not stop.
"I'm coming, I'm coming.."
Opening the heavy teak hinged door, Magina saw an old man in rags. His shoulder length hair was unkempt and he had a slight look of impatience on his face.
"It is time for your test, Boy! Did you forget you agreed to take the test all sentinel warriors had to pass in order to join! Or did that priestess distract you with her good looks!" the stranger strode in, surveying Magina.
"A-and who are you?!" Magina's shock was beggining to wear off and was slowly being replaced by annoyance. Who was this stranger to butt in and start yelling?
"Nevermind my name, quickly quickly! We have a test to start."
Grudgingly, Magina went to take a shower before readying himself for the 'test' of the Sentinels.
**
As Magina strode into the arena where he was told he would take the test, he admired the grandeur of the place. The place resembled a huge gladiator ring. Spectator seats lined the walls of the arena, except they were empty and had probably been empty for centuries. He was told that many souls had lost their lives in this very arena in the past when an evil dictator ruled this land.
Now the battle arena was used for training and practicing purposes.
There was a huge cage that was covered by a cloth in the middle of the arena.
The stranger was standing beside the cage with a look of satisfaction on his face.
"Ah finally you are here..are you ready to begin? Or do you require some time to..psyche yourself up?" the stranger asked, staring at Magina.
"No, bring it on!" Magina replied confidently.
"Arrogance will get you nowhere..but, meet the mountain giant!" said the stranger, pulling off the cloth covering the cage in a flourish.
Towering twenty feet tall, the giant slammed it's gartantuan fists into the bars with tremendous force. It looked at Magina and roared, bashing the cage door again.
"Okay, get him!" the stranger yelled, unlocking the cage. With amazing strength that was impressive for an ordinary person, the stranger picked up a huge spear from the ground and tossed it to the giant.
The giant stomped on the ground once before lifting up the spear and glaring at Magina.
It lunged.

Fort Natharion
Sven had deliberately chose an open area to battle instead of battling near the fort. The fort had many commoners and peasants living there. If anything was to happen to them, he didn't want it to happen to the innocent.
Furthermore, the fort's towers and cannons could fire from a range to provide backup if needed.
Standing in the front leading his battalion of ground infantry, Sven was readying himself for the battle. He wore his gaunlets that often aided him, doubling his prowess in battle.
He signalled to yurnero who was circling the battalion, giving words of advice and lifting the men's spirits.
He saw Zeus and the Drow ranger at their designated position, hiding from sight.
The Drow ranger moved her hand and pointed at the horizon, signalling Sven.
"They are coming, and fast..looks like our advance squad didn't survive.." Sven sighed.
He hoisted up his trusty halberd, Justice. "I need your service once again, my friend," stroking his halberd.
Yurnero was also readying himself, closing his eyes and sitting to meditate for a few seconds.
"Here they come!" shouted Sven.
The sounds and smells of the stampede of the undead approaching were getting stronger.
"This was it."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Author's notes:
At this point I felt really lazy to continue. I may end it with all of them dying next chapter but it really depends on what YOU think. What should I do? Continue or stop next chapter? Am I good enough to continue?
