Chapter 1 - Memories
The leaves beneath his feet barely make a sound as he hurried on through the forest. He was near..he could feel it, he could feel the presence.
The moonlight sifting through the openings in the canopy of the dark forest illuminated the young demon hunter for a second as he darted through the vegetation, revealing a muscular, tall and handsome night elf of around twenty years of age. He had a blindfold on his eyes and had two moon blades slung on his back.
As he reached his target, the trees slowly parted, revealing a vast clearing.
The night elf sensed something was wrong, his target had stopped moving and through his vision, he saw a huge reservoir of mana within his target welling up, charging.
The time had come, Magina unslung his moon blades and revealed himself to his brother who was waiting, expecting.
"Ahh, brother, I see you have found me.." sneered Terrorblade.
"Scum!" Magina spat,"You are no brother of mine."
"True, your brother is weak and trapped, I guess it runs in the blood."
Magina roared upon this insult and charged.
Terrorblade was ready and used his moon blades to parry the blow, counter slashing.
What should have hit, swiped empty space.
A searing pain shot up through terrorblade's back.
"AARGH!! Coward! Fight me like a man!"
Upon seeing the blade heading straight for him, Magina had blinked behind his brother and impaled him in the back, Causing his brother's mana to leak out in an invisible stream.
As Magina blinked away and closed in for another strike, Terrorblade suddenly whipped around, kicking up a cloud of dust. In the split second that Magina was distracted, he launched himself like a missle at Magina.
Magina was knocked flat on his back and felt a bone snap. The intense pain from the strike was little compared to what he was about to feel next, terrorblade slashed two gashes into Magina's chest.
"Damn you!" Magina panted as he struggled to get up, bleeding.
Terroblade sneered, and started slashing at Magina again.
This time, Magina was ready, they expertly used the momentum from the blows to fuel more blows. They used all the techniques they had learnt from their training when they were young. None could match the brothers in speed and skill of using the moonblades.
Finally, both of them broke away, with multiple cuts and gashes along their body.
Magina could see the mana flowing out from his brother's injured body in rivers and instantly ignited it as he saw another attack coming.
"IGNITE!" he shouted.
Flames shot up though terrorblade. He watched in horror as he started burning from the inside. There was but one hope for him. Summoning up all his remaining energies, terrorblade unleashed his demon form from within.
Claws shot up from his fingers, his skin turned black and darkness enveloped him. He flew a few feet off the ground and he kept away his moonblades. He would not need them anymore for this battle as his demonic energies that he could harness would be more than enough to handle his puny brother. His tough demonic form could withstand the burning spell that would have consumed him normally.
Terrorblade turned at his horrified brother and spoke in a disembodied voice "Now, face the wrath of the demonic energies invested in me!". He threw a bolt of evil energy at his brother.
It missed as magina blinked away once again.
Terrorblade was getting annoyed now, he started blasting his energy bolts around him. The forest was now starting to go up in flames as more bolts missed their target and exploded on the trees and grass.
Magina was blinking and darting around, trying to avoid those deadly bolts of energy, one hit could be deadly to him.
Terrorblade realized hoping for a hit would be fools work. He started chanting some words. An ancient demonic phrase that terrorblade recently discovered could destroy his enemies in seconds.
A green glowing energy ball appeared on his fingertips as he chanted.
Magina had seen terrorblade start casting the spell, he took the advantage to slash a few more times at terrorblade's back. The demon's hide was hard and the moonblades couldn't do much damage.
Suddenly, terrorblade turned around and shot his spell into Magina's chest.
The beam of green energy hit Magina. He doubled over. He was growing weak, he could barely move as his life energies were being chanelled out of him.
Terrorblade smiled, the spell had worked exactly as he planned, his brother grew weak while he grew stronger, feeding on Magina's life force.
Magina tried to get up but could only kneel. Death was certain, he thought.
"I'm sorry father,"Magina whispered, "I failed you."

This is really good. Not many obvious errors other than a couple of grammar mistakes. The idea for describing mana break was really good. The only thing i'll bother to point out is that "he thought" on the second last line is a really big give away, it'd work better without it.
Fan fic's pretty inactive at the moment so you might not get many replies (though this is pretty good so maybe...) Still keep writing.

Thanks for the comments guys, I will try to update as soon as possible but I might have to stop at chapter 4 or so for two weeks as my exams are coming up.
Chapter 2 - The Journey
It was a sunny morning and the sun was shining brightly. Bradwarden was staring out into the horizon as his ship, the head ship of the fleet sailed swiftly towards his destination, the Sentinel camp.
He had heard that this Sentinels was an alliance of creatures from many races, forming a resistance against the dreaded advancing Scourge army.
The Scourge was a massive army of the undead, bent on world domination and led by the evil Lich King. He had heard rumors that the Burning Legion, an evil army of demons from the twisting nether was about to make a comeback, after being defeated at Mount Hyjal, decades ago.
Usually, Bradwarden and his clan of centaurs did not meddle with matters of the outside world. They had been living in peace for years now in a secluded area in the Ashenvale forest until lately something had made Bradwarden, the leader of the clan, to make the decision to offer his services to the Sentinel.
A few days ago, their village had been attacked by an advance party sent by the Scourge to scout the woods. The party, consisting of five necromancers, ten ghouls and three abominations had entered their village and started attacking the centaurs.
The centaurs were stronger and outnumbered the advance party. Within minutes, the foul beasts were dead, never to rise again. Though their victory was fast, It was not without a price, Bradwarden's brother, Dragdar had been eaten alive before the other centaurs could rush to his aid.
Bradwarden made up his mind to take along most of the warriors in his clan to set sail by the next day.
"Hey cheif, take a look at this," Bradwarden was awakened from his reverie by a young centaur, one of his best pupils.
"Looks like rain, signal the rest to get prepared, we might be experiencing some rough weather soon." Bradwarden commanded, staring at the unusually dark sky. It had been sunny just an hour ago. He suspected something weird was happening but it was too early to make any conclusions, wise as he was, Bradwarden wasn't always right.
"And Stronghoof, tell the others not to let their guard down, we might be in for more than some bad weather," he called out to his pupil who was now hurrying away to signal the rest of the fleet.
Bradwarden sighed, he heaved his mighty axe from the deck and slung it on his side. He felt rather clumsy in his heavy platemail but it was tradition for centaurs to wear it when going to war. He had not used his armor and trusty battleaxe for a long time and was keen to use it to cleave some of the undead in half. "Soon old friend, soon," he said, patting his axe.
***
Magina remembered the great times he and his brother had while they were playing together, twenty years ago. His thoughts were starting to drift away as terrorblade's spell continued to sap away what was left of Magina.
Magina remembered his father's last words to him before they parted, his father, furion, going to join the Sentinels while Magina went to search for his brother and some answers.
"Take care son, remember, you will never be alone, never."
The words brought warmth to Magina's heart, it gave him hope, something that he thought he had lost a long time ago.
Magina opened his eyes.
Terrorblade gasped in shock. "How? What?" was all he could manage before he felt something happening to him.
Magina's eyes burst into sapphire flames and a faint blue glow appeared around him. His brother's spell now felt like a warm breeze was blowing on him. The pain stopped. He remembered, he had once triggered this ability before unknowingly in a life threatening occasion, when one of his father's spells had missed and headed straight for Magina, it just glanced off the orb of light around him and hit the ceiling instead.
Terrorblade was suffocating. He felt his spell trying to suck the life force out of Magina but it was not working. It was as if he was sucking at a vaccum, a void. Shaking, terrorblade collapsed on the dirt. "No...," he wheezed, coughing dryly.
"Don't play with fire, you might get burnt," Magina look sadly at his brother. "Mess with demon magic and things like this happen."
Summoning up his remaining energy, Magina said a short incantation in night elf tongue. An orange sphere of light gathered in his palms.
Terrorblade had once experienced this spell before, but at that time his brother had not mastered it yet. It was designed to fill up the opponent's empty mana pool with a powerfull energy that would implode, decimating the target from the inside.
With a sweeping motion, he jumped and used his advantage over his brother to escape. He flew away utilising his massive demon wings.
"Damn! I should have known." Magina cursed. His spell could not hit his brother now. He was too far.
Suddenly, Magina had an idea, running very fast in the opposite direction heading towards a steady oak, he suddenly jumped up and used his momentum to kick off from the tree.
Looking back, Terrorblade frowned. This was the end for him. First a powerful spell shield and now this...
The moment Magina was within range of his brother, he took careful aim and thrusted his open palms up.
A ball of hot energy with a swirling tail resembling a comet raced at terrorblade.
He closed his eyes and waited for the impact. It was over.
Nothing happened.
Behind terrorblade, Magina stared in horror as his Mana Void hit a sheild that consisted of a few glowing neon blue interconnecting rings. It materialised around his brother and started rotating.
The explosion as his spell hit the shield was massive, a wave of energy that was created as the shield exploded hit Magina. Pain beyond pain. Magina was blasted away and plummeted to the ground with a crash.
Terrorblade stared at what just happened. An area about 300 feet around him had been totally destroyed. Not wanting to waste his chance, he flew away into the night. "Another time brother, another time."
Magina stared up at the moon. His vision was blur, he was disoriented but he could make out a figure standing twenty feet away from him. A tall knight with snow white hair and an evil frost aura around him was staring at Magina.
Slowly, he unsheathed a sword. Magina had never seen such a sword before, it seemed cursed and evil yet there was a certain beauty about it.
The knight raised the sword and was about to impale Magina when suddenly..
BANG BANG BANG
Three powerful shots broke the stillness of the night.
As Magina's vision faded and blacked out, he saw the knight hastily mount his ride and rode away.
"Yer be allrite, lad, just stay wit me, hang in ther" a gruff voice voice came from somewhere to his right. Magina tried to lift his head but could do nothing as darkness swallowed him and his vision went black.

Chapter 3 - Decisions
"Eargh....what happened?" murmured Magina softly as he opened his eyes only to close them again as the sunlight shone into them. "Ouch! Hey, who took off my blinds.."
Magina's head felt as heavy as a block of lead and his thoughts spun around in a dizzy blur as he tried to recall the last events that happened to him..
He was rescued by somebody...somebody with a gruff and husky voice....
Magina attempted to get up and propped his head on his arm. He surveyed his surroundings. He was in a small, shabby room made of planks of hard iron wood as far as Magina could tell. Remarkably, the room was tidy and furnished with a small closet, a table and a crude wooden rocking chair. Sunlight was streaming in the only window in the room.
He looked at his body and saw his wounds had been neatly bandaged and wrapped in some yellow cloth. He removed some of the bandages from his chest where he had been slashed by his brother and was surprised to see the wounds almost healed.
How long had he been lying there? Who was his mysterious savior? He had to find out.
Leaping off the tiny bed that he was lying in, he instinctively put a hand on his back, trying to reach for his moonblades. They were not there.
He found his blindfold lying on the table. Immediately, he grabbed and wore it. He had worn it since he started training his control over mana and had long forgotten how beautiful the world could be.
Just as Magina was about to open the door, it opened. A short and well built dwarf stood at the doorway, dressed in a hunting cloak. Magina and the dwarf stared at each other for a very awkward period of time.
Suddenly, the dwarf grinned and passed Magina the tray of food he was carrying. "Ah, looks like me ol' sleepin beauty is awake, yer? Eat! Eat up, ye will need yer energy for t'day's trainin," he said merrily.
Magina could only accept the offer and start eating in silence. He was too touched by the dwarf's kindness. His breakfast wasn't exactly the best tasting but it was filling and soon Magina felt much better than he had before.
"I don't know how to thank you...you saved me," Magina said, looking at the dwarf.
"Ar it was nothin, nothin at all," the dwarf waved his hand dismissively while smiling. "Aye, I was just huntin in the woods when I herd all that commotion..no wonder I couldn't find any deer," laughed the dwarf heartily.
"Oh how rude of me, my name is Magina."
"Oh and I am Kardel Sharpeye, at yer service," he took a long bow.
"By the way, what happened and how long have I been out," asked Magina while pacing around the room. He didn't complete his mission, a feeling of dread started to dawn on him when he realised he would have to go out and hunt for his brother again, this time, without the element of surprise.
"A couple days..I shot that foul death knight that was about te kill yer.." Kardel scratched his beard, trying to remember.
"Shot? With what?" Magina stopped his pacing and focused his attention on Kardel."You use a bow?"
"Na, more like a rifle..I'll show yer if ye wants.." Kardel locked his gaze on the interested Magina.
"Ok"
"Well, what ye waiting for then? Enuff chit chat! Lets go! Follow me," Kardel suddenly jumped to his feet and ran out on his short legs out of the room.
Kardel led Magina into a barn outside his little cottage. There he showed him a huge variety of dwarven weapons that he had bought and made himself.
"An tis here is my baby!" exclaimed Kardel, brandishing a long, shiny rifle that had been polished. It gleamed in the sunlight. The rifle had numerous dials and knobs and was certainly dwarven engineering.
The rest of the day, Kardel and Magina shared stories and trained out in Kardel's 'shooting range'. He had just set up a target bud in his garden a few hundred feet away and started shooting away at it. Kardel's skill at using the rifle had impressed Magina. Every bullet hit the bulls eye with the occasional slight miss.
"Watch this," Kardel said slyly, reloading his weapon with a huge slug(bullet). He turned some knobs and took aim. After ten seconds, he released a shot that made an incredibly loud cracking sound. The target bud immediately exploded in the middle, leaving a huge, gaping hole. "And KABOOM!" roared Kardel with delight.
Magina could only stare. He then continued to practice his moves with his moonblades. Kardel silently watched as Magina twirled, kicking up dust as he executed complicated moves. This young night elf is destined for greatness, I can feel it.. the dwarf thought.
That night, Kardel and Magina spoke of the matters of the war over a hearty meal of venison and roast ox that they had hunted earlier that day. Kardel turned out to be a chef of remarkable talent. He had prepared the venison and roast ox almost perfectly. The smells and tastes of the roast ox with black pepper and the venison meat that was carefully tendered was a new and fantastic experience for Magina.
Magina learnt from Kardel that the Sentinal was in dire need of help as the Scourge continued to grow in numbers as they continued their march to the world tree like a plague.
Kardel explained that he had received a letter of plea from the Furion, Magina's father(although Kardel didn't know it yet) for Kardel to join the ranks of the Sentinel.
"I am planning ter leave for the Sentinel camp situated at the area surrounding Mount Hyjal an I would be more than happy ter have ye come along wit me." Kardel hinted.
"I can't ..I have a task to complete," muttered Magina, making his decision.
"Aye, I respect that its yer own decision..it's just fer a good cause you know, saving the world.."
Magina smiled, this old dwarf certainly had a great spirit and he respected him as a friend.
"An just ter inform ye, the death knight that was about ter kill ye and that demon ye were bout ter kill..they are with the Scourge," Kardel knew his words had striked true.
Magina spun around, frowning. "If what you say is true, Kardel my friend, then I will come with you..I have some unfinished business to take care of..."

Bradwarden was shouting orders aboard his ship while steering his swaying ship. The wind was roaring and the sea was churning up waves three times the size of their ship. The entire fleet was suffering from broken masts, rudders, torn sails and injured centaurs. The rain was pouring in torrents as lightning streaked across the sky.
Thunderclaps sounded so often it was hard for the crew to hear commands issued by their warcheif.
"WE HAVE COMPANY!" Shouted Stronghoof over the howling wind.
Two unknown ships were gaining advantage from behind the fleet.
"HOLD THIS FOR A SECOND!" Shouted Bradwarden to one of his officers, passing the wheel to him.
Taking out a telescope from his waterproof bag, Bradwarden observed the ships. Definitely the Scourge. They knew...they knew...
"MEN!! PREPARE FOR BATTLE! SIGNAL THE REST OF THE FLEET! CANNONS AT THE READY!" Bradwarden ordered.
The two tiny Scourge battleships were no match for an entire fleet of warships.
What Bradwarden didn't know was a more dangerous and deadly threat was waiting below. The creature was waiting in the calm depths of the ocean as it watched the battle unfold above. It's orders were direct and simple, watch the battle from below and follow the ship. Destroy all the moment the ships reached Cape Danger..
The creature smiled a sinister and evil smile..it would be a massacre.

EDIT: Just finished chapter 4..
Chapter 4 - Confrontations
Furion sat alone in his room, thinking. The dim lighting of the room cast long shadows along the walls, very little light sifted through a little crack on the wall.
The old Prophet sighed. He had been fighting the forces of evil for far too long. "I need a vacation," muttered the Prophet to himself even though he knew it would never happen, it was still fun imagining it. Perhaps when this war was over and if he survived, he would retire for good..
Bending down to reach within a sack on the hard stone floor, he retrieved a blood red orb. It shimmered with a pleasant warm glow. The orb was created centuries ago within the very core of the sun. It came down to Azeroth in the form of a fiery meteor that was later found by Furion.
It was the Ultimate Orb
Furion muttered a few incantations and touched the orb with his index finger. Suddenly, like a leaf falling into a still pond, the surface of the orb rippled. The red mist within cleared and revealed what Furion had intended to see. Among the orb's mystical powers, Furion found the orb's sight the most useful. It had helped the Sentinel thwart many of the Scourge's attempts to creep up on the Sentinel undetected.
The orb revealed the vast army of the Scourge of over 10 thousand in number, marching tirelessly towards their final destination, The World Tree.
Furion knew finally this day would come, the day that would determine the fate of Azeroth, the outcome of the battle would determine the future of the world as they knew it.
The great Prophet focused once more on the orb, muttering another set of incantations, this time, the Ultimate Orb glowed a vivid blue.
"What is your status, Jakiro?" Furion spoke to the orb.
"The entire dragon flight is ready to leave at your signal, great Prophet." answered a mysterious voice that came from the orb.
"Good, begin your journey to mount Hyjal, our base camp, hurry. We will be needing all the help we can get. The Scourge are on the move.." commanded Furion, cutting the psionic connection the orb had created between him and Jakiro, leader of the elemental dragons.
A steady knock on the door made Furion start.
He carefully placed the orb back into the sack before turning his attention to the door. Getting up, the Prophet stood six feet high and looked formidable.
"Enter." He called, swiftly he moved his left hand in a horizontal line, causing the door to swing open. A tall and muscular night elf walked in steadily, surveying Furion.
"Sir, the archers and all of the men are ready and waiting for your orders," the night elf said, bowing slightly.
"Ah Sven. Good timing, I was just about to summon you here.." Furion's voice trailed off.
"Ready yourselves, you and your battalion will march tomorrow morning at daybreak to Fort Natharion where you and your men will aid Nurmengraff and his dwarves defend against the first wave of the Scourge army. There will be reinforcements arriving later this week to assist you. Until then, you will take control of the fort as General." Furion informed Sven.
Frowning, Sven wondered if they could hold off the Scourge for that long a period of time. "How many of the undead does the first wave consist of."
"According to our Drow Ranger who is currently on spy duty, around 3000 of the undead will be swarming Fort Natharion by nightfall, 3 days from now," Furion knew it was suicide but what could he do. He could not afford to send Purist Thunderwrath as his greatest General was needed here.
Nodding, Sven left the room, noting that it might be the last time he would ever see Furion again.
***
Within seconds, the two scourge battle ships had caught up and were flanking the centaur fleet.
A harsh, loud cry echoed from one of the battle ships.
The undead cannons started firing rotting carcasses at such power that some of them broke gaping holes in the hulls of the ships in the centaur fleet. The carcasses that landed on the ships, however had contained plague and soon many of the centaurs were poisoned and ill.
"FIRE AT WILL" Screamed Bradwarden.
The order was repeated from ship to ship, passing the message to the entire fleet. The centaurs loaded and fired their cannons without stopping.
The two Scourge ships soon were destroyed. One had burst into a huge fireball while the other shattered and sunk to the bottom of the ocean.
Bradwarden looked at his sick and tired crew. They had been affected by some disease that the rotting carcasses were carrying. "Damn,"Bradwarden muttered. "Those sneaky undead ships were ready to die because their real mission was to weaken us..and they succeeded.."
Stronghoof gasped at the reality of his chieftain's words.
"We will have to get to the Sentinel camp as soon as possible, set a course heading for the Mirage Strait, near Cape Danger. It is a short cut and could save our men's lives." Bradwarden told Stronghoof. He knew the area was exceptionally hard to steer a ship through as the bottom of the strait was shallow and filled with sharp boulders the size of houses. He had heard many tales of brave sailors entering the strait and never returning.
Slowly, the fleet steered heading to the strait.
Below them, the monster followed swiftly, swimming faster than any ship could sail.
Hours later...
The centaur fleet reached the strait. The channel was so narrow that each the ships had to enter one by one. Already, 3 centaurs had died from the mysterious illness and time was running out for the others.
Bradwarden surveyed the rocky, barren cliffs of the channel. Not even an animal in sight. It was weird. At this time of the year, the animal's would be out mating as it was spring. Yet, the area was devoid of all life. Something was amiss.
Suddenly, an ear piercing screech came from above. Looking up, Bradwarden almost lost his footing. Not less than eighty naga warriors were jumping down from the cliffs onto the ships. It was an ambush.
Weapons clashed as the centaurs and the naga locked in combat. Cleaving two naga warriors in half with a single blow, Bradwarden heard a loud crunching sound from behind.
Wheeling around, Bradwarden saw a giant sea monster, the size of a ship jump out from the foamy sea. It twisted once in the air and landed straight onto one of the ships, breaking it in half.
The distracted Bradwarden didn't have enough time to react when he saw a huge trident come swinging at him from his blind spot. It struck him at full force in the chest. Despite his amazing fortitude, Bradwarden flew a few feet in the air before landing on the deck, crumpling at the impact.
