Well, i love shredding, although i kinda suck at it ^_^.
And malicef; like mineral_water said it's never too late to start learning! Just pick up a cheap guitar from somewhere and get someone to learn you, or you can even try to learn it yourself.. Very easy to learn how to play a simple song or riff, if you practice enough. : )

I'm really fond of Hard Rock and Heavy(particularly Thrash) Metal.

But sadly, I don't know how to play the guitar.

I can play a mean Saxophone though.
