Chapter 4

Rexxar got up early and went outside to watch the sun rise over the horizon.

It is beautiful isn't it, how the sun rises to shine a ray of hope upon us everyday? came a voice from behind Rexxar

"Hope? Yes, perhaps you are right. There is always hope. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Tell me, is Lucky your true name?" Rexxar asked.

No, in fact, I am not even a Gryphon at all... You see, Rexxar, I am Lucio one of the elven druids of the past until a great demon by the name of Azgalor came upon our lands and slaughtered my brethren. In fact, I was lucky to have survived that encounter with nothing more than being sealed inside this Gryphon. Lucio replied.

"Azgalor..." Rexxar scowled.

You seem to have a past involving him as well, Rexxar. Lucio said.

"Yes, in fact, it was good that you came when you did. I confronted Azgalor myself but found that he was still too powerful for me. I had no choice but to escape from that forsaken place," Rexxar said with a hint of anger.

Why did you confront him in the first place? Lucio asked.

"I too, wanted to avenge my comrades who fell at his hands. I was there to witness the merciless slaughter but could not do anything as I was weak and would surely be killed. Looking back on it, I can remember seeing my best friend form the words 'go, save yourself' on his lips. It was the most painful experience that I ever had to go through and I shall never forget it as long as I live" Rexxar said sorrowfully.

Well, let us not dwell on the past so much for we live in the present! Lucio exclaimed, trying to cheer Rexxar up when another voice from inside the house was heard.

"Breakfast is ready!" said Mangix happily as always.

Sorry if this chapter took so long, my workload barely leaves me with enough time, anyway, I finally found time to make the next one.

Chapter 5

After they had finished a hearty meal, Rexxar approached Mangix and asked, "Mangix, what do you know about Luci- I mean, Lucky?"

"What do you mean?" Mangix clarified, still smiling.

"I mean, do you know anything about his origins and such?"

"Actually, I know absolutely nothing about Lucky!" Mangix laughed heartily.

Rexxar had a slightly frustrated look on his face and wondered, And yet he trusts Lucky with his life! What a truly interesting personality Mangix is, it's unbelievable.

Mangix stopped laughing and, noticing Rexxar's frustration said, "You see, I have this gift, or so they say, to be able to discern if a person is good or evil, whether they have righteous, selfish or unjust intentions. It must be true though, for it has never let me down all my life! I mean, if I saw you as someone evil, I would've let you just fall to your death."

"But you told me, when you rescued me that you were just passing by." Rexxar replied, confused

Mangix nodded and said, "Yes, I did say that, but if I told you all of this at the time, I don't think you would even believe me, now would you?"

Rexxar was astounded at Mangix and replied "No, I guess not."

"Which is precisely the reason why I waited for the right time to tell you this." Mangix replied with his usual smile.

There was a brief moment of slience and then Rexxar asked, "Mangix, may I ask you about your origins?"

Mangix laughed and said, "Of course! Now let's see, how do I start... Ah, well when I was a young panda, I always dreamed of flying. It started one day, in my village, I saw a dragon flying in the distance! It was a rare sight in those parts to see any flying creature, especially a dragon pass by. I'll never forget how that great dragon of azure shone brilliantly as the sun's light reflected on its magnificent scales. It passed by quite quickly but it was long enough for me to get a good look at it. From then on, couldn't be rid of the thought, of the exhilaration of soaring through the skies just like that azure dragon. However, a lot of the villagers told me that it was a pipe dream, it would be impossible for me to fly. Of course it disheartened me but I kept pursuing that dream and now, look at me, I am a gryphon-riding panda! I know it's strange to see a panda riding a gryphon but I don't really care what other people think about my dream. I mean, it is the one thing that kept me going."

"A dragon of azure is the most brilliantly-colored of all other dragons. I'm not surprised that it is what got you to want to fly!" Rexxar exclaimed happily and then suddenly gasped, "That's it! A dragon, I know of a dragon, an azure dragon who may be able to help us defeat Azgalor!"

"An azure dragon you say? Then Lucky and I will accompany you! Right, Lucky?"

Lucio, who was known to Mangix as "Lucky", nodded happily and with that, they were on their way to meet this azure dragon whom Rexxar seemed to know quite a lot about...

IS TAHT GRYPHON THE SUMMON OF REXXAR??
what is this story by the way??
i missed a lot of Dota bcoz i played CAbaL for the whole 2 months??

Chapter 6

They reached their destination, the place where Rexxar had specified to find this azure dragon who may prove to be an invaluable ally.

Rexxar took a few seconds to look around, to make sure that this was the place. He doubted if this was the place as he knew it to be a vast wasteland devoid of life. What he saw a was a lush greenery that was full of life, a calming stream of the purest water, rays of sunlight going through the gaps of the leaves of trees that created a sort of otherworldly radiance and felt a gentle breeze blowing through. Clearly, this was not the place he knew but he was absolutely certain that this was where the dragon's lair was.

With a confused look on his face, Rexxar said, "This is supposed to be the place, I am absolutely certain... but my eyes do not deceive me either. Maybe we went a little off-course, Mangix."

"It's no problem at all! This happens to me and Lucky all the time!" Mangix said with a laugh, "then let's go on our way then."

As they were about to make their leave, they heard a loud voice that went, "Hold!"

All three of them looked back to see a knight clad in battle-worn armor much smaller in comparison to any of them. He held a broadsword that had seen many battles and yet retained its edge superbly and a shield made of dragon scales that could very easily defend one from almost any attack.

"What is it that you want with us, great knight?" Rexxar asked respectfully.

"You... are Rexxar, are you not?" the knight replied.

Rexxar replied, a little surprised, "Yes, I am...but-"

"I knew it," the knight cut him off, "You have grown much since I last met you, young Rexxar."

"Pardon my rudeness, but I've never met you before." Rexxar said carefully as not no sound insulting.

"Ah, then perhaps this will help you remember," The knight replied, "I think you should stand back a little"

Rexxar and the other two took a few steps back and watched in amazement at what unfolded in front of them.

The knight extended his arms outward, looked down and began to undergo some changes. His hands grew outward and began to turn into claws. From his shoulders came growths that would turn into great wings. From his back, a great tail grew out.His features, slowly became reptilian, azure in color and then he became twice, thrice, heck, almost five times the size of any of the three!

Rexxar opened his mouth to speak but no words could express what he had just seen.

"You remember me now, Rexxar?" The great azure dragon asked in a rough, booming voice and then answered, "I am Arc Honist."
