Hi everebody, a long time a go since my last post!

Ok, there is what i think now about this site:

This site lost its essence because now we can see a lot of publicity, banners, etc.... But what it butter me most was that to see a topic i had to SUSCRIBE WTF!!!, why should i suscribe to read about a topic, I thought this was a community, to share the knowledge about this game, and to solve our doubts, but I can see clearly now that this is a good tool for the ADMIN, to make money..., with this cheap publicity. When you are reading some post now u have publicity "between lines", thats not a community, if u have the clear concept of community, is:
the need to interact to meet their needs or carry out specific roles.

this are My toughts.... Dota-allstars.com still have this essence, Not filling the pages of cheap publicity

shaddup....It's a community as long as people who has got the same passion ineract with other people who has got the same passion....Which is DoTa....Dota owners aren't That richyou know that's why they put ads to finance they're servers...they're not people who's got Midas' hand you know...If this is a cheap public stunt Wtf do they still post replays...and oh try to visit thge Philipines and you'll see why they HAVE to put cheap ads just to finance this site....people lke you are just....this word might get me a warning

Lol. Whats funny is he doesnt realize a site needs money to run 100,000+ registered users. If you made a site off that free forum makign website, and didnt upgrade the server when u had 100,000+ servers it would crash...

No, im not new on internet, i just wanted to tell that some threads are satured of publicity, that butters when you are reading it, and I know that manage an internet page has a significant cost, what i supposed to mean was that the publicity needs specific place, not between lines...

When i was posting this topic, I tried to be very careful with my words beacause I knew that this will be offensive with some people...

I just wanted to make a constructive critic, dont know why just got angry, when the real purpose of this was to know what do you think about and post some opinions.

P.D. I dont know if exist, but admin can create a section called
"Donate to DS", open to all, not only members....

Just my toughts... if you got angry calm down...

Well, site admins do whatever they can to maintain their site. Drew's got his style, and IceFrog's got his. I personally don't mind the publicity.

Speaking of ads, DA is also guilty of putting ads near the top side of the page. Besides, contributing via donations is a totally different thing; you got to have a bank account/credit card to donate. You also must have paypal - not everybody is so lucky to leverage paypal. Ads may seem irritating (actually I never even bothered to look at them in the 1.5 years I'm here) but they do not incur any costs on the part of the person who puts the ads or the person who clicks at them.

So both options have pros and cons? You don't like ads but they're free, you like donations but not everyone can donate. DA targeted a monthly donation of USD 3000 when they appealed for chipins but judging by the looks of it they didn't manage to get all of it. An observer's point of view is indeed different from the person who experiences it first-hand.
