Watchmen Movie

For anybody that hasn't seen the trailer here it is

I've never read the novel or even heard about it until I went to see Dark Knight and saw the trailer. Needless to say I was amazed by it. More so than the Batman movie where the Joker wasn't on screen Laughing

What do you guys think about it?

Watchmen is one of the greatest comic books EVER. People will die if it ends up like V for Vendeta.

Yep, the movie adaptation of V for Vendetta was butchered. I kinda liked it, but it was no where near the original work.

Both have been written by Alan Moore, look him up.

Omg he also wrote the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen? D: The movie was pretty good but once again I didn't read the novel before hand. God how does he let these movies butcher themselves? I mean Stan Lee should have tried and stopped production of Spider Man 3 halfway through. I hope he doesn't let Hollywood screw up Watchmen -_- I mean, when a movie looks THAT good, you CAN'T make it bad. It's the biggest taboo in moviemaking. I'm bringing a knife when I go see this movie so I can cut down that big screen if it's a piece of crap.

Alan moore is kinda insane, he refuses to be part of ANY movie that's based on his works, he specifically wants his name OFF the credits. That way, he won't have any involvment whatsoever if/when the movie sucks.

Also, he's kinda insane and scary. But still remains one of my 3 favorite comic book writers.

Lawl, saw a picture of the guy and he looks like he crawled out of a ditch x] Stan Lee likes to show off by putting himself in EVERY movie based off his works. Except the X-Men movies... but I never payed close attention to those.

Well good news, folks. Watchmen's director is gonna be the same guy who directed 300, another Alan Moore masterpiece. Personally, i believe 300 was just a trial run for him. Alan needed proof that his greatest work wouldn't me desecrated like Spawn.

I think he means the visionary director lol. 300 had a pretty good script and the visuals just sealed the deal for most people. Hope it works for Watchmen Smile

It looks good, haven't read the comic book, but from what I've heard the trailer was close to the book. But if it follows to close to the book it will be 3+ hrs, which will be fine only if it's good. I'll probably see it anyway.

The only problem I see with the movie is that they'll have to squeeze 12 books into one movie Mad

Either it's going to be another Titanic or Godfather (4+ hours), or they better do a good job of squeezing everything in -_-
