i think pushing is never the role of tinker... he should be a killer... and not only early game... he can kill easily with the right timing and the right teammates... so i suggest a build like:
BoT
Dagon
Orchid Malevolence
Shiva
Hex
(arcane, bottle, or if u sold it already i prefer mekansm)
the rest is just practice ur tinker... it is one of the game best heroes...

tinker with Manta is still a good idea, even if it is old.
it provides pushing power.
which is all he really needs.

I like manta on him but as a latter item. I would usually get chicken stick or skadi first.

Has anyone thought of Hand of Midas for tinker? does the refresh reset HoM's cd? and if it does...tinker can get mad farmed mad fast.

Something else might be a Black King Bar...perma avatar ftw?

Nope, HoM does not get rearmed, oddly, Rearming will reset the cooldown back to 100, not sure why

lol interestingly you can now drop items while they are on cooldown.
this makes tinker the most amazing hero im any mode with -pm (pool mode) attached as any item with a large cooldown can be refreshed while in you base for allies.

You could make a really good Courier army of centaurs, permastun ftw

and Necronomicon doesn't work. If you activate it again, the first set of minions will disappear, and if you have 2 books, they will share the same cooldown, so you can only have 2 necros at a time
