hmm you can do a lot of things... er join the B.net dota clan zomp and fight against some of dstrategys best

Practice in the ways of denying/last hitting

The one thing a dota pro can do is make an impossible situation possible
Lets say the entire enemy team gets gems and your a techies.... what now... they are all ranged and your skills of mines are now gone.

If you think about that then your wrong...=> plant mines leading uphill so that the enemy does not notice what he/she is walking into to get kills and stuns.... in team battles plant stun wards and mines to frighten the enemy

Decision making=> my hp is 300 and zues has 150 mana and he has 125 hp and counting can you kill him before he kills you... and do you think the enemy specter will notice that and try to kill you

1)run and heal
2)kill zues
3)die to zues
4)die to specter
5)kill zues and #4

Master the situation !

or you can play fufu ninjas to improve your reaction time (or so it claims... =/ )

Try -Randoming every game, I find it helps me use heroes that I otherwise would never pick. (Mostly Ints), Also the +200 gold at the beginning is an imbalanced advantage with some heroes

he can get dagon as the first item then massively feed.

try to choose 3-4 int, 3-4 str and 3-4 agi heros and take you skills with those heros to the next lvl.
I´ve been playing for 4 years, and I still don´t use perfectly all heros. Actually now (in a serious match) I only use 9-12 heros out of 90. I find more interesting to became an "expert" with some heros.
Of course, you must have a strategy for each hero because you need to know what are you fighting against.

-Now I´m working a lot with SHIFT. you can save a couple of mini secs with SHIFT, and it´s very usefull in combos. A great tool.
-Something important: You have to be used to all attack animations, so you can lasthit and deny efficiently.
-Of course, playing against noobs is easy, you have control of the situation. Challenge your self in tourneys.
-Watch Replays and videos on youtube, that really helps.

and most of all, Never Stop!
