Raijin Thunderkeg? mjollnir or stygian

i tryed mjolnir(yes, mjoln, not mael, you play for a team buff your tank with static, plus more damage and atttack speed=>more purge) with skadi---wicked sick combination.

but later i discovered battlefury+orchid and it's just GODLIKE, cause BF is real easy to rush,

just consider BF - damage, HP regen, mana regen 4200gold vs maelstrom chain, 30 damage 3k gold,

you need the mana and HP regen

orchid<skadi bt cheaper so you can throw in a vanguard or bracers if you want, or better yet a sange for the orb and HP

I'd rather take Mjollnir over Stygian. The lightning coming out of them hands looks really cool and is also strong.

Pencilpusher where talking about rajin...hope you know that...BF on an ranged hero?...an TOTAl waste...the only reason for getting BF is the clave...the dmg and regen make it look more attractive

Deso is a great projectile and is the most cost effective item for its damage. However it does not give any chaseability to raijin, other than his mini purge which is not a very valid slow. Spamming grapple to catch kills is not my style because then I dont have mana for repeated ganks and strategy positioning, not to mention mana regen is not priority for raijin, attack damage and tankability is the key.

Maelstrom gives nice damage, useless agi and a nice damage boost for farmin/hero killing. But what I found out with maelstrom is that it is very hard and chotic late game to order attack on creeps for it to be late game farm effective with all the attack speed so I cant make the best us eof it.

Mjo is useless, since it's agi is not worth anything on raijin. AC bonuses are equal to those of agi boosts therefore is a much better item

Skadi is like the best thing ever but it should never be rushed first, because it doesnt give damage which raijin needs imho

The best item for raijin is

MKB

Why? Very cost effective due to the late improvements, the bash immedietly takes out channeling heroes like rylai off the game and it is really easy to form. And gives a lot of damage which raijin needs.

My perfect build with raijin iss

-PT (Later turned into BoT)
-MKB/Bloodstone(WTF? Explain later) rush
-Bloodstone/MKB
-Skadi/Deso(Which? Explain later)
-Satanic/MKB (Wow? Explain later)
-Luxury (OMFG? NO SHEEPSTICK/ORCHID)

WTF?

-Bloodstone? Bloodstoen is probably the BEST item ever, after Mjollnir(not on raijin but agi people) and MKB. It gives 2 HP/MP regen per kill. 2 MP REGEN! And gives great hp and mp pool. When you enter late game, if your allies were good, you will be entering with almost 20 HP/MP regen per second. You can actually leave rave open for all times!
-But it comes with a price, no Huge damage early/mid game. Rush bloodstone only if you can get kills with good allies like lina or vol'jin, people that can deal massive damage and wont mind you putting the finishing touches.
-MKB is a great item, seriously and outclasses every other item othe rthan bloodstone that raijin can have.

Which?
This is easy, if your allies can slow, deso. If your allies can't, skadi. I suggest when you arrange a team with raijin have good slowers like enchantress or omni or warlock in your team.

Wow?
This is easy too, lifesteal stacks with skadi so if you get skadi get satanic. (The game does not advance to this point but if you are doing to well for your own good then . . .) Another MKB goes great, you have 51% chance to deal extra 100 damage not to mention your every attack deals +150 damage and you have +30% attackspeed.

OMFG?
No mana regen for luxury is needed. The hex might be good but leave it for other disablers. Orchid's silence is good but damage amp is not that huge and it is dealt as magical damage which loses all its point late game. Why no regen? Bloodstone gives more than that is needed.

This is my item strat with Raijin, now i'm gonna go play with him since I am so hyped up about him

But also.. Prefer Maelstrom over Desolator..

go for deso to be an early game assassin...but i prefer mjo..its effective in late games...try adding mkb. the butterfly, and critical? and HoT..xD

Orchid's gotta be on storm.. aspd, + mana regen to keep rave on. Nad, maelstrom works alot better with the insane attack speed. Really cheap, procs alot with good as, gives more AoE damage, overload is more useful for slow.

Deso's really good if you're against one hero.. But once you get into team fights, and pushing, mael is alot better, and since it's also cheaper, it would be my choice.

wait ..

Mjollnir is not for just for late game . .

if you get Maelstrom early you'll be able to farm fast for Mjo . .

and to all the questions why Raijin needs all that agi . .

remember that you have Electric Rave . . that's 80% added aspd! which increases your chance of hitting with chain lightning more often . and more hits with Overload! . .

paired with disablers you can pawn enemy heroes in seconds!
