Hi
I put some money on a game against me [windrunner] against a friend [warlock] on 1v1 -apemom. We aren't noobs btw; I know he'll be rushing sheep and maxing shadow word, stats and ult, and I was thinking of making vang/defiance + diffusal at the same time. Any suggestions on the skillbuild/ items I should be going? Part of his reason to bet is that I've never played windrunner before.. :P thx

first practice, since her arrow has a slight delay in timing, so you need to practice to use it

definitely get diffusal against the infernal

get 1 lvl of ww in early game (before 6)
max powershot and shackleshot

don't get FF until mid-late game since it costs so much

WW has much better dps than Warlock, so you should have the upper hand, it might be advisable for you to also rush Guinsoo, or Orchid

orchid is more int dps

be careful since he will have a good heal, so you should just focus on last hitting and denying, you will win in the late game so you just need to make it there, play defensive

hey.. me and my friend is going to have a 1 v 1 match -om.. he said that he'll use syllabear.. i find syllabear really annoying mid-late game.. so what hero should i pick? i'm considering WD , is it ok?

witch doctor is not bad. a perfect launch of paralyzing cask between lone druid and his bear will stun them for about 4 seconds. maledict and death ward for the kill. death ward will not attack the bear. yay!

beware of his bear's entangle that disables you and can cancel your chanelling ulti. he gets powerful late game. so harass him early and finish the game as quickly as you can.

Depends, who are you really good at using? It's better to use a hero that you know well than to take a hero you dont know jsut because they fit the task at hand.

Being said, I would say that yes WD is good, so is lich (also due to bouncing, this time in the form of ult).
Lion/Lina/Doom/Tinker/etc: Sylla has pretty low health, so people who can end him quickly are very useful.
Centaur: Great tank, return will affect all attacks, and if you find he's going melee mode, then blademail's return extra damage.

Sylla doesn't have any nukes, so you'll just need to watch out for his attacks, somebody with evasion will get alot of bonus points. Think panda.

I don't think naix can infest the bear(but if he can that's a potential counter), and I don't think HotD, enchantress, or chen can help you control it. Maybe hand of midas, although I doubt that too.. hmm..

Morphling is a strong 1v1 hero in general, and waveform would let you escape from the bear pretty easily, and once again has nukes to end sylla.

i think u should tank urself as hard as u can(HoT,BKB,Linken,Manta is good 2!)

if ur so hard 2 kill then its fine!

that panda wont even touch u and even he uses his ulti,fine! he can't juz run till the end of game!

u will win the game since u have firestorm 4 pushing

hehehheh thats my opinion

Viper has a better late game imo, early game it depends if Veno goes wards or not, if yes then he might be able to push better, if not the Viper will outharass veno and win

PL, better entrances and exits, and I think WW will get out of ensnare (or at least make him invis)

Purist, he can easily get around Abaddon's ult while Abaddon can't do anything about the Angel, and also his slow is an aura so he doesn't need to always be hitting (so if there is juking in the woods the enemy will still be slow)

a BKB isn't that useful since panda doesn't really have any disables

instead I would go for a more caster build
Bfury, Guinsoo, Satanic
additional disables are helpful and a pers in early game (for the bfury) will let you spam firestorm all the time
