well, i know you shouldn't post threads regarding your pending guides, but here's my problem:

when teh mods dislike my strats, they deny them, fair enough


but they do not even bother to give the author a PM, and you just wait like an idiot, you sent mods PM's and nothing..

then, i made a better strat, with the help of folechno, and i'm sure that it's worth considering, cause i made it pretty well, screenies and everything...that was over 2 weeks ago, and guess what??? no reply, no anser, no feedback whatsoever..so i ask you, do i have a wrong ideea about how the process works, does it really take this long to get a message or something, or did they just not bother to read it?

@ mods, this is not a hate thread, but damn, i'm curious about my strat, and no one was ever answering my PM's

so please tell me about the strat acceptance process..

There are so many strategies going through that it takes at least a month before a newly posted(and accpeted) strategy can be put up. Also, it needs to get above a certain number of votes and depends on whether there is a strategy of a similar hero already up

I think he means sending a quick note saying:
"your strat has been denied"
"your strat has been potentialed and will probably be approved soon"
"your strat has potential, see a mod for help."

That would probably be handy.

it must be better but not good enough.

warlock guide, right? how does your guide looks like? what's the format of your work? we can give suggestions.

i felt and experienced the same thing as you before regarding my nevermore guide. i accidentally send a PM to an ST at that time ...and he replied. the good thing is, he explained to me the situation of the mods. they're a little lazy.


but anyway, he gave me tips. such as check my work, improve, proofread... i did that. now one day, orochi posted a message that we can PM him to check our guides at that day. i quickly take the opportunity, PM'ed him and got his attention. it worked and my guide was published.

that was before. coz now you can PM the ST's to check your guide and help it get approved then published. have you PM'ed them already?

Most of us don't have the time though, we get so many pm's.

For now I'm very occupied with exams, which will be over tomorrow. So quale and icethree, I owe both of you some comments and suggestions, they will be taken care of in these few days.

yup, that's exactly what i was talking about

also, fole helped me out alot regarding my guide, you guys could proably help as well, but i don't have the time, i'm in the middle of an exam frenzy right now, so maybe after i get a minimal amount of input from the mods regarding what the strat lacks, so i can work on it, i would on the other hand need help with testing the build in an actual game, against humans on pubs, cause i want players better than me to give their input, the game style is unconventional so i would apreciate more input, give me a message if interested.

The golden rule of strat-making is to never PM a mod about it unless he/she PMs first. And never discuss about it in a thread.

@ above, dude it'sbeen 2-to-3 weeks, if they won't aproove it just because i PM'd tham, thn it's stupid, also i was asking you guys about how the process works, cause in another thread amplirage said that it would take 24 hors for a guide to be read by some1, so after 2 weeks of no news regarding it i wanted some answer

also i don't think mods are that bad/stubborn to screw with me just because i asked

Oh I wouldn't be so quick to say that. Rambol is right about the golden rule for the most part - you do not ask. Very few exceptions which I'll actually keep to myself.

We currently have 205584 registered users. Now if 1000 of them made guides and pmed the Mods and ST's, don't you think we would have a headache to reply all 1000 of them WITH suggestions that they will most likely request?

And if you want us to pm you if the guide has been approved and IS going to be posted, do you know how the system works in the first place? We can VOTE for the guides OR Nuke them. When there is a set amount of votes, it MIGHT be put up but if more ST's come along and nuke it, it goes to negative votes. So nothing is confirmed.

yeah man, but i don't know if all 100 would make strats @ the same time, and, no, i don't know how the system works, that's what i was asking in the first post, and most of all, all i wanted was a PM that said something like "it got nuked"
"it has been read, we'll get back to you in a week"

or something like that, something to show me that it's not somewhere colecting dust..and the thread wasn't about my guide, but about the process of aprooval

PM-ing the blue guys increases your chances by 3.1415, it's their job after all.

Aw I thought that info was classified. You know this is more work, stop giving us more work lol.

OK, I agree that there isn't enough info lying around on this sort of thing, the process has changed a lot since the last time any of us posted a bunch of guidelines in, say, My Strategies (which was last updated in mid-2007).

so, in conclusion, in order to get some feedback whatsoever regarding my strat, who do i have to message? any st guy?, a mod? whooo? everyone is complaining about the work volume, but no one is hireing more staff..i don't get this
