@fol: You have a point there lol. But automated systems are better as they are on All the time and are impartial(they just do what you ask). IIRC the current PM from drew when a new strat is posted is an automated one.

I don't really know about an automated system. More guides will come in like a river. And a lot of them will probably be uber BS. Look at DA. They auto-post any guide proposed. I think hand picking is the better way to quality.

I guest just make revision of your guide to make it better.. Probably it will be published.. Ask the ST for any help or comment.. Ask the status of your guide.. Is it well enough to be published or it get nuked...

I guess, but you would need some good programming and the system couldn't give the same feedback that a real person could.


If they did, they would need to publish more guides than they do now, and I personally think that 1 week at the top slot on the front page is good enough (although I wouldn't have minded not being replaced by Amp's Kael guide for another week or two)


I'm sorry man, I think they have stopped approving guides before they publish them since they probably have a backlog of guides to make, and since the new era of guide making has been ushered in by BF[X], Quale, myself, and Amp I don't think all of those guides would be as good in comparison, don't get me wrong we could use the guides but I don't think people would look at them the same


good reason to recruit more mods/st


He is saying it has already been approved it just hasn't been published yet. the only thing he can do at this point is to wait (yes I know that sucks)

PencilPusher, I have some good news about a certain ZOMP member playing with a certain Warlock build and owning the face for 14-4 ish (a bunch of KS but that number still looks good) the replay will be appearing in the ZOMP Replay thread and I will also be pming you the link, and if you want some more help with your guide to make it better, I can give suggestions/hack your account and add it myself (and then thank myself a lot more of course )

hmm...i was thinking that the automated system work like these:

1. an ST voted "good" to your guide
2. the system sends PM to the author: "1 vote good"
3. another ST voted but "bad"
4. the system sends PM to the author: "1 vote bad"
5. the MOD finally approved/nuked the guide
6. the system sends PM to the author: "guide approved/nuked"

now, how was that? ...is that possible?

Should have a bot that has auto-responses that tells you how your strat is going. these following quotes should be sent depending on what happens...

PENDING
(+1 vote to your strat) "Congratulations, a mod has added a vote on your strategy"
"We are sorry to say that one of our mods/admins have taken their vote away from you"
"Unfortunately, our mod has chose to deny your submition"
"Your guide has been approved! Go check it out at ( x )"
"Your guide is going godlike."
"Your guide has been stripped off the site due to several requests of change or very bad rating"

and, after three months of no responses it can say "Your guide has been inactive and has pended for too long, we will take it off our guides list. If you are still active, please put it back up when we remove it so we can note that you are still there."

drew should actually create this bot and have whatever auto-responses to normal, forum, site users. don't use my example though i don't have that good english, do it in that formal mod way, good grammar and spelling etc..

EDIT: I look at further before comments that this system is operated based on manual admins. admins still have to work, but this is just a messaging bot. the strategies won't pour in, *fixed a problem too

Or when it reaches a certain number of votes, say, 4 or 5. Rather than spamming the guide authors with PMs xD

as for getting hired, i don't think my posts/day matter cause i never post just for the sake of it, if i were a st, i'd do more cause it would be my job, now i just don't like spamming threads just for the hell of it.

teh bot is a great ideea, i like it, and it would do justice to guidemakers

a message like you got 3/33 votes as good guide, if u reach 50% it should be put on the published waiting list.

@ fole, sure you can hack my acc, same pencilpusher password , and you could also praise your awsomeness from my account )

That he does, but he is no longer active (although he said he was making another guide so he might be back for that) and he doesn't have 100K+ gold like yours truly, and his record might be broken soon (the all time leader and unofficial spam king is none other than yukino)
