Now tell me this: Do you call miss when you kill them? I always call miss when i kill an enemy and my team mates are always "he dead fool" but if i dont call then they respawn and change lane i get the blame for not calling miss :/

I say I killed them, but I don't check to see when they respawn, so it's on your teammates to be aware that a hero is mia. I will usually call mia if the hero doesn't return to the lane in 1.5 min 9ish)

Good point fol.. it is up to you to keep an eye out for heroes that have died. But if the guy has been dead for like 2 mins and has not come back then you can assume he is mia/creeping so call it out so everyone knows.

I play at a lan center that does not allow any downloads, plus they have no microphones, no vent for me :'(.

When I'm focused on last hit/deny in my own lane I usually don't bother to look at my minimap to see if enemies are in their lane.

Having allies call MIA is a luxury of not having to check the map frequently. It is expected of all players anyway, its common curtesy. Would you expect to have allies who call MIA when you don't call it yourself?

I agree with rllian, images, summonings and duplicates can confuse you if you are just looking at the minimap(if you're looking at illusions you can't tell if their real or not till they take high damage).

Phantom lancer's images
Furion's treants
Meepo's duplicates

If there was a meepo with 3 duplicates on my opponents team and there is only 2 meepos in lane I would still call meepo MIA because 1 meepo is still considered 1 hero MIA. **Note** Any Meepo can use an ability to teleport to another meepo that causes an aoe damage.

Other warnings to help allies:
Furion- Able to teleport anywhere on map.
I give out a warning whenever I see furion using his tele, for all I know he could be teleing to somewhere near my ally.

SA - Invisi at level 6
Warn when SA is level 6.

Pit Lord - Tele to creep/tower
Warn when Pit is level 6.

Spectre - Able to swap with his ghost image.
Warn when Spec is lvl 6.

Potm - Able to make all teamates invisi.
Warn @ lvl 6.

Zeus - Global nuke (nothing to with tele/disappear but I warn anyway)
Warn @ lvl 6.

Furion and spec have abilities that could transport them near/beside you within a short period of time, so your allies might not be quick enough to warn you.

I find that early warnings really help, and most players are grateful when I call em.

Don't type in whole sentences. Use shorthand. Here we use "la" as in "la qop" or "la potm"

In the Philippines, the word for missing is "wala." In chatting or even sometimes in verbal conversations, we skip the "wa" part. It's a sort of national shorthand. Internationally, you can use "mis" meaning "missing."
