MIA

Don't you just h8 it when your allies don't call mia? Ever play a game where the guys in mid didn't call mia and you end up getting ganked by 4 heros? It really doesn't take much skill or playing experience to tell your team your lane opponent is missing. If the enemy you're laning with is gone from the lane for 10 seconds or more or if your lane enemy died respawned has had decent time to return to lane but hasn't come back, just assume they aren't returning and inform your allies.

On the other hand, I suck at calling MIA. Whenever I play online with friends their always scorning me for not calling mia. Sometimes I forget to call mia even when its really obvious that the 2 guys i'm against in mid are gone.

Ex. I had Pudge and zeus against me in mid lane and they'd been gone for at least 2 whole minutes and I didn't call. I recall I was too busy trying to take their tower :bleh:.

***Sometimes I forget to call MIA when I'm going back to shop/heal/jungle. I forget to call MIA when I die cuz I'm still busy pondering what I did wrong that got me killed. A lot of the time when I'm in lane with a partner I assume my partner will call MIA for me.

I know I'm not the only one that has trouble calling MIA so don't flatter yourself :D .

Consider it recon or an early warning system, keep track of your opponents whereabouts and tell your mates, an early warning is better than no warning at all. As I mentioned b4 it doesn't take a great amount of skill to tell your team a guy is missing.

So start calling MIA today, one call per game could save you some shame.


P.S. I also h8 guys that call mia when the enemy is still in their lane but thats a whole nother story.

happened to me before but you will deal with it eventually. presence of mind and map awareness is the most common problem of starters....

Decent allies will call MIA, but a decent player knows to check his minimap every once in a while.

Nice rhyme at the end. And yeah i hate it when people don't call MIA. Once i got ganked by their whole team... Even if youre not sure of your lane opponent is MIA it is better to just call and tell your allies if he comes back. Better safe than sorry.

calling MIA is relly important....i really pissed off if my allies didnt do it....even if the enemy is windwalker,just call MIA so your teammates can be ready for anything...

Well mia is a decent skill THAT I do not see much in guides!

hehehe just wondering about that...
Everyone should know how or when to do that lol!

No, that's pinging the map. Calling MIA is simply chatting with your allies, telling them if a hero is missing in their lane and which hero.

Sometimess icall miss on my lane enemy, but the others dont see it and they get ganked, and then they blame it on me.....when they check the log they are sudenly silent.....

MIA is not called by many many players in ggc so i always watch the whole map myself.. You should do that too.

im not exactly pro at the actual gameplay. which is why i favor support hero's.

meaning i jungle and ekep an eye of the whole map

The problem with map awareness is that it doesn't work against image heroes. Or any hero that picked up an illusion rune for that matter. Anyway, yes it does annoy me when I announce a hero missing, without getting the same favour returned. DON'T let this get to you, because your game will eventually grow badly.

You should get on vent with the people you play with. It helps a ton to not have to type:
"Sniper MIA"
"oh wait, he is back"
"nope, that was a ranged creep, Sry He is still Mia"
"Damn it I just got killed by sniper while I was typeing that last one"
