Oh I see.

I never thought of letting the Crow use the Midas.
Good thinking though, but the attack speed is wasted.

30% AS still helps in last/hitting, or killing heroes.

ermm... lets compare these for now:
Hyperstone, 2100, 55% aspd
HoM, 2100, 30% aspd, Transmute ability

... attackspeed alone wont help you farm(if you're a carry) so get the transmute ability!

i posted a replay about lycan getting an HoM though. nobody viewed it ( its 1.20e anyway so it IS pointless

Depends on the hero, usually I always end up with one more tier 4 item than without midas. I played QoP with midas in a cyber cafe two weeks ago and got about 20 K - 1 D.

i figure you give midas to the crow once you start to build up a 6th item.
really this is not going to happen often but also while you have parts for items as well just throw midas on the crow for a while

I usually sell Hand of Midas when I get my 2nd core item + BoT, which is really not hard to get with Midas, good kill-death ratio, and decent last-hitting skills.

oh lord, my favorite item is getting bashed!
the reason i love hand of midas, is when you're on your game lasting in your lane, you can pick it up probably in under 12 minutes. that in mind, any lane you work in, you can immediately walk straight to a high level camp and BOOM 180+ gold. i get this on several heroes that i need the attack speed, but need BoT like silencer, and doombringer (combined with his eat? retarded farmage) and furion.
i really like going HoM on furion because the money that you would spend on treads pretty much goes into a HoM, you get your attack speed, the farming bonus, and instead of a bit of attack speed and +10 to int and a wee bit more movespeed, you get a decent chunk of attack speed and you go into a farming frenzy! it's nice at lvl 9 to walk by a level 6 satyr hellcaster that would take you a few hundred hp to kill and at least a minute to dispatch, you can walk up, one shot it, and get extra gold, i really would recommend HoM on almost any dpser
