Luna and Dragon Knight ancient abuse

This is about a well known and perhaps not as widely practiced technique of mass farming with Luna and Dragon Knight with ancients without using your hero or an allies' to pull the camp.

Ancient camps tend to be extremely wide, have long pulling paths and flying spawns(dragons). Because of this, you can stack a very large number of creeps in there. The reason why we use Luna or Dragon Knight to perform this is because they have very great multi-target dps that works on ancients plus they build dominators very frequently.

Dominator gives you a bunch of armour, the ability to convert a creep and lifesteal. How does this all come together? The basic strat that you do with this is acquire a dominator as your first or second core item; rushing it is not necessary because you won't be able to kill them till post level 11. What you do is convert a high level creep, basically a hardy one that can withstand hits from many ancients and sit it by the ancient camp outside of aggro range. At xx:50 seconds, pull the camp out and shift click to waypoint your pet back so it will be ready to do it again at the next opportunity. When you get a nice stack of ~6-7, you can start killing it. With Dragon Knight, you will need to transform to splash.

There are several tactical advantages of this. Foremost is the money and xp gain with little effort and greatly outdoes mostly what you can get in a lane midgame. You can do this outside of sight so you are relatively safe. Further, the enemy cannot steal this camp without many heroes of their own. Another hero that can benefit from a stacked camp is terrorblade because he can keep pumping images for dps/tanking.

i did that once exept it was little creeps, ther was about 30 little kobolts or what ever they are, litle things like geomancer, 30 of them!!

I haven't done it using HoD, but I have done it when ganking a lot. Everytime I'd go past the ancient camp at around xx:50 I'd pull the creeps to stack them. I didn't get as many stacks but it still helped.

And I wouldn't really call it abuse, it's just a good tactic which can backfire if your enemies find out about it and go kill all the creeps.

have done this, you don't need HotD, just a hero with splash, cleave, bouncing attacks etc.

and like Wii said, it can backfire and your enemy will get the gold and exp

Unless you're planning to stay near the ancient camp forever you need a creep to lure the ancients when you're not around.

they are one of the toughest groups besides the golems and the dragonspawn to take down >.<

a group of dragonspawn would be annoying cause of their evasion lol

Yes, this is very common in higher level plays at late games. not really an abuse actually and it can be good for all dps heroes.

jungle stalkers hurt a lot...specially the elder one T_T I died one time because of that huge thing...then my enemy said to me: "die like a no0b!!!" then I pwned him when I respawned
