1on1 battle help!

I will play with my friend today and he will pick:
-Gondar
-Sladar
-Batharum
Most likely Gondar.

Who shall I take?
I was thinking on Yunero. Is it clever? What items on start shall I buy.

Get Slardar.

Get him a couple of bracers, boots, and farm for perseverance. Then start making Stygian Desolator.

Once you get to level six he'll hesitate to get near you, as Amplify Damage + Slithereen Crush [as he gets near] will hurt.

But you'll be at a disadvantage when he uses Windwalk.

Unless, of course, you use Wards or a Gem.

i would really suggest, you go for azwraith...
all of those heroes are in a no-win situation for azwraith...
buy gem if he uses gondar...
go for manta asap... then B-fly, buriza

Yurnero? Go with Radiance, Treads, Vanguard, Aegis/Rapier.

Don't forget to place a sentry every 6 minutes.

Use an Agility hero because if you are intel, late game you can only tickle him. Use someone like Troll or Faceless Void. Permastunners own str heroes late game.

Don't get a permastunner vs Centaur. Centaur can easily get 5 blademails and still have 2533 strength. You attacking him will only cause you to die, not to mention his own hits on you + a final stun to kill you if you stay there long enough.

In fact, nearly every strength hero (N'aix excluded) can just Blademail and stat up, making your attacks just bounce back, forcing you to heal, letting them push. Repeat, repeat, repeat, lose for you even if you win in hero kills (unlikely). So in 1:1 don't permastun vs strength hero.

Get a ranged agility hero.

EX: Bone Fletcher, Lightning Revenant, Gorgon, Dwarven Sniper(Not recommended) or Lone Druid.

For them, get these at least:

B-Fly
Treads
Skadi
Buriza
MKB
Maelstrom (Upgrade to Mjillnir if you can)

centaur? shees... for me centaur's enemy and most of all strength type heroes is no other than necrolyte... necros aura reduces there base damage...
these would be necessary items..

- power threads (if one lane only) Boots of Travel (if multiple lanes)
- mekansm
- dagon , upgrade it at your will
- aghanims
- vanguard
