Davion skill and item build,what's yours?

Davion,an realy good hero that has an AoE nuke,the best non-ultimate stun in the game,an armor buff and an ulti that slows or splashes or both....
Now...Davion is good almost with all items,so i whant to know more item builds for him,good item builds if you can...
My item build is PT,van,radi,AC,MKB

keen davion build.

my favorite tanker.


1.threads.
2.vanguard.
3.battlefury
4.batlefury.
5.heart
6.heart

100% tanker build/pusher.
in elder drgaon level 3 you can take htis 100% and splash with ranged atatck. when in normal form youwill splash exactly the same.

i max out dragon blood from level 1-7 whenever possible.
secondly max out stun.

i dont get the AoE nuke. low damage nuke, highish mana cost. that mana could be put to better ise in stunning for 2 second+hitting 3 times. 4 in drgaon form.

The usual built I use is:
BoT
Battle Fury
AC
Satanic (always lifesteal!)
HoT
(optional slot - use anything non - orb. I like to add more armor, shivas for example)

Also for the skill built i recomment:
1)Blood
2)Tail whip
3)Blood
4)Breath
5)Blood
6)Elder Form
7)Blood
8)Breath
9)Breath
10)Tail whip
11)Tail whip
12)Tail whip
13)stats
14)stats
15)Elder Form
16)Elder Form


The main thought is that stun doesn't need to be upgreaded because i don't think that 2.5 sec stun is much less than 2.75, 3, 3.25 sec.
Upgreading breath on the other hand can give you easy kills early game.
Some of you all, maybe wonder why Elder form lvl 2 is at 15 lvl.
Well ms is +25 at all levels now.
Poison dragon deals 20dmg/sec for 5sec (that dmg is dealt to towers also, thats the main reason poison dragon is better than the red one)
Elder Form lvl 2, for me, is just a way to get to lvl 3.
That is of course MY opinion.

Bfury good for regen since u need lots of mana, AC for even more armor, HoT to be a good tank. MKB for additional dps

Now i don't max tail in early game since i find it to stun long enough, and breath is a good aoe nuke to finish them off with.
And level one elder form isn't that helpful, so i get it at 10,11,16

Why get Battlefury anyways?

IMO, Davion does not need Bfury at all . .

he already has the cleave and regen he needs . .

better go for Satanic and a couple of HoT's then Cuirass . .

My skill build is basically the same with Moogle Taxi . .

Stun and Regen is maxed out first . .

Lvl 1 dragon useless???
Deals bonus damage to towers and you can kill heros easier with poison.
lvl 2 dragon is only for killing creeps, and battle fury is good enough for that.

Skill and item built just fine...
(similar to mine though)

max out the stun first then the nuke and last dragon blood.
for item build, i use a carry build on him and not a tanker.
Threads, armlet, BKB, assault, crystalys, and then heart. mby some clarities or basilius for early spamming of spells to kill and farm.
When you hit lvl 16 and lvl 3 dragon form you will kill everything if you farmed well enough.

The skill build for most people has changed because of the nerf to his Elder Form. My old skill build used to be:

I always maxed out stun because... well 3 second stun at level 8 looked sexy. I don't know why I never got Dragon Breath, maybe because the mana cost is kinda high for your low mana pool. But they did lower the mana cost to 120 I think for all levels. So now I'm thinking something like:

Maxing stun early is not good IMO. 0,75s duration doesn't make a huge difference. Max dragon blood ASAP for good lane survivability/imba armor to help against harrasment. Along with dragon blood you can go nuke or stats early game, depending if you have a lane partner or the hero(s) you're up against. Now fo the dragon form...i think it's a good deal to get it lvl 6 so you can help more in ganks/small team battles with ranged attack and more movespeed to flee. For the skill build..well, my carry build is rush rad/BoT/BKB or Satanic for a decent carry (game should end by HotD). For tanking, Vanguard/BoT/Tarrasque. Well, i've also seen some high level dota-player(cant remember name) get SeY on him...don't know if it's good but hey, he should've known what's he doing.

I don't think so . .

Level 4 Stun is lasts 3.25 seconds actually . .

and considering that you still don't have the slow from Ice Dragon you can't really chase enemies down . .

that's where Dragon Tail comes into use . .

Well, since lvl 1 stuns for already 2.5s the 0.75 difference won't make that much difference early in the game where your attack dmg is low... but a 300dmg nuke will.

some tips from a big user of DK:

-never get treads. after recent changes to EDF (Elder Dragon Form), you need more movespeed than before to be effective

-always take Dragon Tail at level 1 no matter what.

-if you plan on getting Breathe Fire, getting only 1 level of Dragon Tail and 2 levels of Dragon Blood are enough. get stats for the rest until level 11.

-dont harass like crazy with Breathe Fire for two reasons: First of all, you dont have enough mana to do that yet. And second, that leads to pushing, as Breathe Fire is an AoE spell.

-timing is everything and know how to use your limited mana.

-Use level 1 EDF to mainly take down towers. You dont have to level EDF for movespeed anymore due to recent changes. level 2 EDF i good for killing/farming but the corrosion effect of EDF level 1 is useful.

-Once you hit level 6 you can start ganking.

-lifesteal is the most effective orb you can get for him unless you want to be a chaser and get S&Y.

-Battefury is alright on him but you can save up for waaaaay better things that help you in BOTH forms. But the thing is, you can really own with any items.

davion is a very powerful late gamer so i think you dont have to go for the kill that early...just farm..and ofcourse dont die...

why level 1 dragon tail?for the assist..to help team mates on ganks....
even 1 sec stun is important....

dragon breath is taken on mid game...for you to farm faster...just need void stone...

why battle fury?you dont need the cleaving attack...but for the damage+HP regen+mana regen....

why satanic and SnY?ofcouse they do not stack....but you need lifesteal to tank,movespeed and attack speed to chase....even no maim you already have slow with your level 3 dragon form and a stun for 3.25 secs.....

the reason for breath is that its a good nuke. tail is good to stun. lvl it to gang plus to have it into a nuke. blood is only later for them team battles. this will help u tank. the only reason u would play blood first is if u want to carry. not gank. my build is gank dragon. the others above is carry (farm in that lane until they die or game is over). bot is good. his ms is low. so get this to resolve. get ac to fix the attack speed problem. thats all i can think of now its easy to play him. XD.
