A newibe question about stack

If i say that X dont stack with X (does it mean that thise item if i double it will not work?) and if i say X stacks With Y (it mean the 2 items will work?)
i realy dont know i get confused about that

GREAT... If there r orb effect item in ur inventory, and u still buy an orb effect does not stack item, only one of them will take effect... Such as, buying deso and S & Y, only one of them will take effect, if deso is the one to take effect, then der will be no S & Y effect, but the stats gain willl still be der... Another example, BroodMother 3 skill s orb effect, and if u buy manta, the mana break effect wont take effect, but u will still able to summon clones...

X can be anything. It can be item, item ability, hero ability or buff.

Yep, if X doesn't stack with Y, then you will only get 1 of the effects (if it's an orb, check out the orb table in the Library)

if X does stack with Y then you will get both effects

one important info also is that, if 2 items with orb effects are on your inventory, the one on the most priority slot will activate.

Example if you both have S&Y and Maelstrom, and S&Y is on the 1st item slot, them S&Y will take effect. Otherwise, it's Maelstrom. this means you can choose what item to take effect by putting it in the higher order slot.

Let's say for example that X is power treads, and Y is Boots of Speed. These items don't stack, so the only thing you will recieve if you have both of these items in your inventory is the bonus from Power Treads.

For orbs, almsot everything says 'Orb effects don't stack' right on teh description, and only items that are orb effects have that. Make sure that you, in general, only have one of these items or skills. As mentioned above, there's a table in the library. For new players I would recommend they print it out and keep it at hand when trying to decide if they should buy an item or not.
