The first time I read your idea, I immediately thought it was too complicated. But I thought about it for a while and I'm willing to throw out a hero idea I just came up with on the spot:

Before I get into it, here's a helpful analogy that I'm about to use.

Charmander --> Charmeleon --> Charizard
Bulbasaur --> Ivysaur --> Venosaur
Squirtle --> Wartortle --> Blastoise

If you don't know what these names are, then please message me your home address so I can mail you some anthrax. This is pokemon, ladies and gentlemen. Keep that thought in mind. If you're wondering, no I'm not 12 yrs old. Here goes:


??? - The Evolutionary

Range: 120 | Move Speed: 290
Primary: STR
Strength: 23 + 2.4 | Agility: 17 + 1.8 | Intelligence 16 + 1.7
Damage: 38 - 52 | HP: 587 | Mana: 208
HP Regen: 0.95 | Mana Regen: 1.3
Attack Speed: 1.4 | Armor: 1

??? co-exists as one with nature, synergising the ground around him. There is a chance that enemies of the Evolutionary may fall victim to an entanglement of roots from beneath them. Once a unit is entangled with the roots, it may not move for a short time while taking damage. Does not stack more than once. Can be activated/deactivated. Orb Effect .

Level 1 - 10% chance to entangle with each attack, 20 damage/sec. Lasts for 2 seconds.
Level 2 - 10% chance to entangle with each attack, 40 damage/sec. Lasts 2 seconds.
Level 3 - 15% chance to entangle with each attack, 60 damage/sec. Lasts 3 seconds.
Level 4 - 15% chance to entangle with each attack, 90 damage/sec. Lasts 3 seconds.

Mana Cost: N/A.
Cooldown: N/A.

??? with the power to control all of the water around him, he can manipulate this water and create a very cold attack that slows the attack speed of his enemies. Slow effect lasts 2 seconds. Can be activated/deactivated. Orb Effect .

Level 1 - Slows attack speed of enemy by 10%.
Level 2 - Slows attack speed of enemy by 20%.
Level 3 - Slows attack speed of enemy by 30%.
Level 4 - Slows attack speed of enemy by 40%.

Mana Cost: N/A.
Cooldown: N/A.

Through learning the ways of the flame, ??? can immolate himself with a burning inferno and not take damage from it himself. Surrounding units will burn just by being next to him, and he can melt enemy armor away with each attack. Can be activated/deactivated. Orb Effect .

Level 1 - Deals 15 damage/sec to nearby units. Melts away 1 armor with every hit. Stacks up to 3 times.
Level 2 - Deals 25 damage/sec to nearby units. Melts away 1 armor with every hit. Stacks up to 4 times.
Level 3 - Deals 35 damage/sec to nearby units. Melts away 1 armor with every hit. Stacks up to 5 times.
Level 4 - Deals 45 damage/sec to nearby units. Melts away 2 armor with every hit. Stacks up to 3 times.

Mana Cost: N/A.
Cooldown: N/A.

Only one of these skills can be active at any one time .

Using the powers he currently possesses, he can evolve into an advanced creature which specialises in one of three different skills. There is a different evolution set for Synergise, Manipulate and Burn. For every different level of Evolve, there is a different evolution.

Mana Cost: 200.
Cooldown: 150 seconds.


Synergise

Level 1 Evolve - Evolves ??? into Nature-1. He gains 100 bonus hit points and has special abilities Regenerate, Body Slam and Adrenaline.
Level 2 Evolve - Evolves ??? into Nature-2, improving special abilities and adding 200 hit points.
Level 3 Evolves - Evolves ??? into Nature-3, further improving special abilities and adding 400 hit points.

Manipulate

Level 1 Evolve - Evolves ??? into Water-1. He gains 100 bonus hit points and has special abilities Icy Chill, Water Blast, and Frost Armor.
Level 2 Evolve - Evolves ??? into Water-2, improving special abilities and adding 200 hit points.
Level 3 Evolve - Evolves ??? into Water-3, further improving special abilities and adding 400 hit points.

Burn

Level 1 Evolve - Evolves ??? into Fire-1. He gains 100 hit points and has special abilities Critical Strike, Dislocate, and Wildfire.
Level 2 Evolves - Evolves ??? into Fire-2, improving special abilities and adding 200 hit points.
Level 3 Evolve - Evolves ??? into Fire-3, further improving special abilities and adding 400 hit points.

Evolved states can retain their original abilities Synergise, Manipulate or Burn. There is however the option for them to be turned off (mainly to make way for different orb effects). There is also an option to de-evolve back to normal form so that ??? can change to a different skill and evolution base.


ALL THAT REALLY NEEDS DOING FROM HERE IS CHANGING FROM ??? AND NATURE, WATER AND FIRE TO SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AND PREFERABLY WARCRAFT RELATED. I'M TYPING IN CAPS SO YOU DON'T MISS THIS. IF HOWEVER, YOU DON'T LIKE THIS IDEA, THEN I MIGHT AS WELL KEEP IT AS MY OWN. Read on. I hope you see my pokemon analogy now by the way .

Using the natural forces present around him, ??? can heal himself or an ally with a magic force that relies on mana. Channelling .

Nature-1 - Heals 25 hit points per second. Drains 20 mana per second.
Nature-2 - Heals 50 hit points per second. Drains 30 mana per second.
Nature-3 - Heals 75 hit points per second. Drains 40 mana per second.

Mana Cost: 100 (to activate).
Cooldown: 0 seconds.

??? slams the ground with his weight, dealing damage to nearby units, and slowing for 4 seconds.

Nature-1 - 150 damage, 20% move speed loss.
Nature-2 - 225 damage, 35% move speed loss.
Nature-3 - 300 damage, 50% move speed loss.

Mana Cost: 100/130/160.
Cooldown: 20 seconds.

???'s heart races faster and faster for every time he attacks the same enemy. Just being around combat alone makes him run faster. IAS Stacks up to 5 times.

Nature-1 - Every attack gives 4% IAS. Passively increases movespeed by 5 when near an enemy.
Nature-2 - Every attack gives 6% IAS. Passively increases movespeed by 10 when near an enemy.
Nature-3 - Every attack gives 8% IAS. Passively increases movespeed by 15 when near an enemy.

Mana Cost: N/A.
Cooldown: N/A.

???'s attacks have become even colder with evolution that he can now slow the movement of enemies.

Water-1 - Attacks slow movespeed by 20%
Water-2 - Attacks slow movespeed by 30%
Water-3 - Attacks slow movespeed by 40%

Cooldown: N/A.

??? shoots water at a single target with such force that it knocks them back a range of 150 and deals damage.

Water-1 - 200 damage, cast range 500.
Water-2 - 250 damage, cast range 600.
Water-3 - 300 damage, cast range 700.

Mana Cost: 140/160/180.
Cooldown: 10/15/20 seconds.

??? can manipulate frost into a strong shield that adds armor to himself or others.

Water-1 - Bonus 4 armor.
Water-2 - Bonus 6 armor.
Water-3 - Bonus 8 armor.

Gives ??? a chance to deal extra damage on some attacks.

Fire-1 - Deals 1.5x damage on 20% of attacks.
Fire-2 - Deals 1.75x damage on 20% of attacks.

Cooldown: N/A.

??? can disfigure part of the enemies skeleton at melee range, maiming them by 50% movespeed for 4 seconds and dealing physical damage.

Fire-1 - Deals 150 physical damage.
Fire-2 - Deals 275 physical damage.
Fire-3 - Deals 400 physical damage.

Mana Cost: 110/130/150.
Cooldown: 30 seconds.

Sets an area of the ground on fire, damaging all enemy units within it for 40 damage every second. Lasts 10 seconds.

Fire-1 - Lights up an AoE of 300.
Fire-2 - Lights up an AoE of 400.
Fire-3 - Lights up an AoE of 500.

Mana Cost: 120/140/160.
Cooldown: 40 seconds.

make the armor gained for frost armor higher

BUT!!! GREAT IDEA!!! i totally love invoker and another hero would probably get me playin dota too much, so I hope this hero gets build in Wink

well the idea wasnt by him, it was frm som1 else. i dun remember properly, i think it was heppu.
he just made a hero out of tht idea.

synergise is overpowered: its as good as a bash for 3 secs dealing 270 bonus damage.
Icy chill is stronger than EoS, thats makes him OMFG!
Dislocate is overpowered, 400 damage and a 50% slow for 4 secs, i think reduce the dmg.

Rest is good, continue makin hero ideas.

Yea the basic idea was mine but I don't mind... I think some of the skills are too imba for example the slow thing which is passive Frost Arrows and also synergise is too imba... Also I don't like the idea of dota heroes being pokemons... No offence, pokemons are cool though ^^

yeh all criticism taken. agree

its not my hero. thats y i'm not gonna really go to any lengths to follow this up. it was an example for heppu, showing the way in which u can manipulate this hero idea (and thus u end up with what i put at the top).

No further comment

PS. Pokemon = analogy. I wouldn't make a hero based on it.
