Cry of the Warden...

The forgotten lands of Kalimdor used to protect not only the reclusive night elves and the wandering and peacefull beasts, but it also used to provide a good camouflage and a hiding place for the killers and the marauders who got sick and tired to rob the patethic peasants.
And the worst nightmare of these criminals were the great wardens. By their nature, the wardens never stop chasing their prade untill they are killed or cought. One of these great wardens was Mortred.
Mortred was a skillful Warden, one of the best, and Maiev Starsong, the Warden who chased Illidan untill he died, was her sister. Hired by some elders to chase the great marauder Damodar, Mortred swared on her own life she would catch and kill Damodar.
And so she began her chase...
In the misteryous forests of Damodar`s domain, she didn`t know what awates her... Fear apeared in her heart, as she got more far away from her homelands. The forest seemed endless. She began to hear voices, voices that called her and called her. Before she had lost her mind, she summoned her Spirit of Vengeance to help her.
"Mercurial, I want you and your nightlings to scout the forests, I fear that here is more than just angry spirits!"
"So be it, my misstres!", and she had disapeared.
Mortred continued her quest, with fear in her heart though. The forest seemed endless...
Suddenly, a man`s voice started to laugh. Mortred was in her battle position, waiting to fight.
"No use to be ready for that dear, said the voice. You`re end is near!"
And in that moment, she saw the blur of her target: Damodar. Her knives started cutting through the air. In her pannic, she didn`t realise that Damodar stude and watched her, laughing and laughing about her worthless efforts of fighting. Damodar, bored, blinked to her and stabbed her with his venomous knive. Mortred screamed worthless... Mercurial appeared out of no were to help Mortred; she feeled her misstres` pain form her voice screaming. Mercurial charged to Damodar in the purpose of killing him, but Damodar, slick, dodged her and stabbed her with his knive. Two agonizing screams emerged from the deap forest. The wisps began singing the cry of the warden...

The little night elf town began celebrating the victory of Mortred, as she arrived with Damodar`s head pearced by a spear in her hand of iron. But nobody suspected that in Mortred`s body, an evil demon has found his home. It was the spirit of Damodar...

Mortred demanded a celebration of her victory, with elven fire crackers, the best in the world of Azeroth. Everybody was singing and dancing, not even suspecting that Mortred was possesed. Nobody but one of Mercurial`s Spirits, Shendelzare, who has ran away from Mercurial. She was a renegade, but she was a smart one. When she looked at Mortred, in her red eyes, she knew something isn`t at hand. So she decided to talk to Mortred.
"Misstres, I see you a bit stressed out. Is it something I can do for you?" asked Shendelzare.
Mortred smiled.
"No, my sister, I`m just fine. But I plan to burn this little town. I fear evil spirits has desecrated these lands."
"How can you say such a thing? This grove has been protected for centuries. If one of the elders find out about what you are planning to do, it would be..."
"Ah, don`t start with that. Don`t you feel the stench of these creatures? This are no longer our brethrens, these are monster. We are protected by Elune, unlike them. I should summon Mercurial and her spirits. This land has to be cleaned. Mercurial!!!"
Mortred`s avatar has arrived. At the sight of Shendelzare, Mercurial sayd:
"Shendelzare, don`t make me bannish you. You are no longer my spirits. Leave these lands. Misstres, you`ve called?"
"Yes Mercurial, it is time to clean the lands, as we`ve planned. And Shendelzare will help us, right?"
Shendelzare looked in Mortred`s eyes, and without thinking, sayd:
"Yes! Let`s get it over with!"

The little town was still burning. Shendelzare looked at the ruins, and she reminded that she have seen at Mortred some powerfull skills, skills that she didn`t have before. She could blink from villager to villager, slaying them, and then she melded into the darkness, apearing again. Then she saw Mortred`s weapon blazing, giving her more power. It was incredible. And then she realized...
It wasn`t the town that had to be destroyed, it was Mortred, Mercurial and theyr minions. She wanted to run away, because she couldn`t fight them all, but it was too late. Mortred was behind her. With one hit, Mortred injured Shendelzare deadly. Shendelzare was agonizing, and Mortred left her, leaving her to die slowly. With her dying breath, she began to prey to Elune...
