Which is better for dragon knight, hood of defiance, or vanguard, and why?

I prefer Vanguard to further make DK a tank, spells/nukes will suck at late game, so what for?

i usually go by the rule of thumb: 3+ nukers hood, >3 vanguard.

neither. vanguard's block is only good early game, and you can't afford a vanguard early game. HoD on the other hand might be good against nukers, but even without that, you can tank the damage anyway.

better farm for an HoT or radiance instead. and never, ever buy 2 vanguards, one is already too much.

remember, DK is a tank, he needs HP not the minimal block from vanguard.

yeah, agree with unholy, but for the question, I would get vanguard, extra hp to survive more, but if I were you, I could get bloodstone(more hp nd mana) or heart of tarrasque (tanker)

I would get hood in my Dragon Knight in most cases especially if I'm facing alot of nukers but I would never get an Vangurad.

If there are more than 2 heavy nukers, HoD. Otherwise, vanguard is OK.

Neither really, but If I had to choose... probably HoD. Vanguard loses effectiveness as the game progress. HoD gives you spell resistance. However, the best thing really for DK is a Heart and an Assault.

My build is:

Arcane ring (armor and mana to spam breathe fire and stun)
Hood of defiance
HoT
Radiance

Vanguard is a no no, he already has big armor.
