Mortred & Shendelzare

A story I wrote in 3 am last night, because I was bored. I can continue it when I fell like it. I just need feedback on this for now.

Shendelzare gazed at her sister, seeing her for the first time after 8 years. She still loked the same, but Shendelzare knew she was different, full of anger, envy and hatred. Mortred always envied her, since she was the mighty warden, and Mortred just a deliquent, and outsider.

“Hello Shendelzare. We havent seen eachother for a long, long time.” Said Mortred with an evile smile on her face
“You probably forgot about me, oh mighty warden Shendelzare.”

“No, I didn’t.” said Shendelzare, offended that Mortred would even thought she has forgoten her “How could I? You are my sister. I thought you were dead all these years, after you disapeared in Ashenvale after…”

“Don’t you dare speak about that!” yelled Mortred, cutting short her sisters gentle voice with her own, dark, and sharp scream “Don’t you dare! That’s the past, and that Mortred, that lost the battle 8 years ago is dead now.”

Then Mortred raise her hands, and the forest around the two wardens grew darker, as the moonlight dissapeared, shuned away by darkness, like Mortred was from everyone 8 years ago.

“See? Elune isnt the one that watches over me now. He is too weak. My new protector can put out the moonlight of Elune, with but a wawe of his hand!” Mortred laughed, like madman “Your god wont protect you now sister. He has abbandoned you.”

Quiet was Shendelzare until then, and now she spoke differently. Stil gentle, but with a deadly determination in her voice

“Why have you returned Mortred? What has become of you during these 8 years?”

“A force greater then you, that’s what I’ve become. “ And then she laughed maniacly, over and over again.

“You are not my sister.” Coldly stated Shendelzare

“No, I am not. Not anymore. I got fed up of everyone looking at me as the dropout sister of the mighty warden Shendelzare. I am Mortred so call me that! Now I will have revenge on you and everyone who denied my existence as me, as Mortred, and only saw me as your sister, as your shadow! So I faded into the shadows on that day, and they embraced me as one of their own! I became strong, stronger then you will ever be! I was always below you, but no more. Now I have risen above you, and although I am a shdow, now more then ever, I’m no longer a shadow of yours,and I will make you remember that, forver.”

Shendelzare sensed the movment of Mortred, but alas too late. Her sister already apeared behing her, and struck her with a mighty blow, sending her flying through the air, and painfuly landing on her back. She stood up fast and prepared to throw the shadow dagger, but Mortred faded into the darkness, and Shendelzare just remained frozen for a moment, ready the throw the dagger, at the unseen enemy that is here sibling, that she loved so much.

„No,“ she thought „Mortred is my sister no more. She has become something evil, and a force beyond my comperhension is guiding her hand now, amlyfing her hatred that has gathered in her.“

At that moment, a dagger, flew out of nowhere, and Shendelzare had just enough time to throw her own dagger in the direction that the attack came from, and blink to safety. Or so she thought. The blade of her sister, striked so hard, that it cut through her armor, supposably unbreakable, cutting of her hand. Blood gushed from the place where Shendelzare’s right hand used to be, her blade falling to the ground, while she screamed in pain. A shadow took form, and Mortred apeared.

„It’s futile sister. Fall to the gorund, and die. Make it easy.“

„You should know me better then that. I won’t forfeit. Ever.“

And with those words Shendelzare jumped, spreading her knives in all directions, and blinking behind Mortred, and shadow striking at the same time. Her sister blocked the knives, but the shadow dagger was flying to her, she wont evade that. Alas, Shendelzare didnt knew that Mortred didnt have to evade. The shadow strike, flew throughs Mortreds body, that faded,.Shendelzare stuned by the event, didnt even try to evade her sisters backstabing attack, that cut her body in half. Blood spilled, raining onto the green grass. Mortred raised Shendelzare chakram from the ground, and broke it in half, with her hands.

„Look at your wepon sister,“ she said while throwing it to Shendelzare „it is broken, just like you, pitifull, and weak. You are a warden no more.“

Thre last site that Shendelzare saw, was Mortred laughing at her demise, fading into the shadows, going to execute her revenge on others. Needless to say, much more blood was drawn on that night, much more lives faded into the darkness, as well as Mortred did. Her laugh echoed in the minds of the survivors of the Masacar of Wardens, till the rest of their lives….

„Shendelzare.“ Spoke the voice „Rise my child. Your life may have ended, but I will grant you a new one. I will not abandon you. I never did. Your faith is yet to be fufiled.“ And Shendelzare knew, that Elune is the one speaking to her now. „I shall grant you a new body my daughter, and the powers of the nether. You shall be become the true Avatar of Vengance, and you shall execute my wraith upon the scourge, and the one who lies, whitin the frozen throne.“

„Yes Elune, I will. And I shall have revenge, not only on the Scourge, but on my sister too. She will be thare, I sense, on that battlefield, amongst my enemies, and I shall have no mercy on her, nor the ones she joined forces with.“ Spoke Shendelzare with flame in her heart, and fury in her voice. No regrets will she have when she meets her sister on the battlefield, and takes her life.

„GO now my child,“ sopoke Elune „and smite those who have embraced the undeath.“

And with those words of Elune, Shendelzare apeared, at the base of the Sentinels, with might she has never felt before, whit a body of pure energy, and otherworldly strenght, fueled by her desire for vengance, so strong, that others around her felt the same fighting spirit, their fatigue erased by the fearless Shendelzare, that will lead the army of the Sentinels to victory, taking revenge upon the one who drew her blood on that faitfull night.

„My death was just the begining of our clash Mortred. I pray that Elune will have mercy on your soul, cause I will have none.“
