Posted: Tue Jul 29, 2008 4:33 amIm not gonna lie. After bloodstone came out in .43 (i think?) i really didnt think much of it. I'd been playing carries and battle heros who couldnt really guarantee a strong kill streak.
Recently I've been loving techies. Playing trap-style is so much fun, i have had 5 enemy heros disabled for a total of 25 seconds in a game and i just laughed. Then i realised that Techs is almsot always positive in kills, seeing as he is rarely in range of damage but gives plenty. I also read the d-a guide on bloodstone and I'm sold. It will now be my first item for techies.
What are your techy builds?
On anotehr note, does techies suicide trigger a "charge"? On your "first kill" with BStone you gain 2 charges, if you first kill is a suicide does it give you 2 charges, then immediately take one, thereby giving you the bonus of having a "charge" when you die?

Firstly, its too expensive for techies. Eul is a much better choice. After that, hex.

As far as I know it has some "effects" after the bearer dies... If the bearer dies, allies near will recover health and you will lose less gold and respawn time is somewhat shorter... And also if you die, you will have a sight on the area, you get experience too I'm told...

No actually , it is EFFECTIVE if you manage to get it for like , uhm I dont know 13 minutes of the game. (possible if your liek league pro like mym or something). Which means more charges = More mana regen = More mines! Hurray bloodstone.
On the other hand , you dont get it early bloodstone phailz.

league pros dont play with noobs usually, so there will surely be lots of wards. You cant expect to kill much, wihtout an ally.

It seems like a great synergy, but its not.
For starters, this is reliant on the charges. The Bloodstone doesn't help out as much as, for example, Euls, which is much cheaper - an item of the same price would be loads better. So you don't have a surefire way of getting charges.
Secondly, if you plan to just Suicide to give your allies the benefit of the redemption thing... its not going to work very well. By the time you get this item, Suicide will be obsolete and you will not be using it - if you are using it just for that reason, thats silly.

bloodstone is a great item, not for the after-death exp, or reduced revival, but for the amazingly great regen which isnt based on %
4 charges are already awesome, but orchid comes in my mind 1st

Getting Euls, Guinsoo or Orchid is much more useful, and Cheaper. All techies really needs is Mana regen.
I agree with shim, once you get past the 15 min mark (when most people are around level 8-9) you wont be using suicide unless you're denying yourself. And even after 15 mins I doubt you'd have enough gold to afford it. It costs around 5000g from memory.

imo is all comes down to the situation.
first item you really must get for techies is of course euls. it provides everything techies needs(apart from hp) for early game.
now it comes to somewhat mid/late game were its a tough choice of bloodstone or hex. Personally i would get hex if my team is needed with a extra disable were as bloodstone i would only get if my team is filled with disables were hex is not needed and statis trap is enough to help the team.

blood stone is a plus on me .... not the first item maybe but the second for sure........ +1k spell aoe as a last resort in a battle is NEVER BAD and you gain xp for kills as well as help out the team =P

i asked shim about this he said that its not very helpful for techies but its your choice to buy bloodstone for him/them.

I think BS is a terrible item on techies. By the time you get the cash for it suicide will not be as effective anymore. I think techies needs cyclone and hex first for survivability and mana regen.
