Computation for Armor

guyz nid a computation about d ff.

for example, d damage of d enemy is 100-110+102 and my armor is 30..how many damage should be dealt unto me?

solutions and formulas are needed..(if u only knew it)

you put your mose over the armor icon and it will tell you the % damage reduction % of your armor (30 should be around 60..i think). then (202 +-5) * (100- %reduction). in the case of say 60%, then it should be around 82...excluding crits, bashes, cleaves etc

hehe... umm... another thing, jst use slardar's amplify dmg w/ desolator so u wont b bothering bout the damage reduction... Bleh!

i tried that b4 and it workd, but i havnt used him lately in late versions... i dunno... for wat i know, its cool lalu n pag negativ ung armor, mor damage ma iinflict kesa sa expectation frm d list on ur status bar...

OL I NEED IS A FORMULA EH.. for ex:
pag ung atk dam ng klaban is 130-100+100 tpos ang armor ko ay 30 bale ang bawas saken ay 83 for normal atk..un ung gs2 ko not %

Anyways, you're looking for EHP (Effective HP), which is the 'extra' HP you get from armor, right?

Each of your armor is equal to 6%, however it doesn't end there.
To get the EHP, then '0.06 * Armor / 1 + 0.06 * Armor'.

For example, a hero has 1000 Hp and 10 armor. Computing for the EHP, then =
0.06 * 10 / 1 + 0.06 * 10 = 0.375 = 38% EHP, or Damage Reduction you see when you hover your hero.

Now to get how much your HP has been increased, just use: HP * (EHP). So for the example, the hero gets 380 extra HP from physical attacks, meaning he has 1380 HP overall from physical attacks, including armor.

Edit, I read wrong, here's the answer to your real question, although EHP also takes part here.
For your question, if the enemy has an average of 200 damage, and you have 30 armor, then get your EHP first = 30*0.06 / 1 + 30*0.06 = 1.8 / 2.8 = 64% armor. Next, get how much damage will you get and reduce it by the armor reduction. MeanDamage*(1-EHP) to simplify it. 200*(1-0.64) = 72 damage.

As for the Corruption question which is offtopic <.<, yes it does stack.

mas adik si honya! ahehehe. tsaka "mouse" yun..not "mose" ;p

diminishing din ung armor like bash %, kaya not advisable na magdagdag pa ng armor if above 45% na ung damage reduction mo..unless you really need it for your spells like axe.

EHP and damage reduction is different. In a way, one is reciprocal of the other, but it is damage received that is a reciprocal of EHP.

Each point of armour gives 6% of your MHP to your EHP. MHP is the displayed hitpoint value on your hero. 1000 HP and 10 armour is 1000 + 1000*0.06*10 = 1600 EHP, NOT 1380.

EHP is a much easier way to calculate damage compared to using damage reduction. This is because EHP tells you how much raw damage you can take. 1600 EHP means you can take 1600 hp worth of physical damage from the enemies, using the displayed damage on the heroes. There is no need to factor in reduction in this case, as all has already been factored in.

WAH!!! hmmmm dun really get but does dat mean desolator is good? or maybe yet effective because of the -6 to hero armour or no use at all?

But ever tried Presence of the dark lord lvl 4 with desolator and slardar's amplify damage lvl 3.

how much damage are you going to take if you're using lucifer with a 30 armor.
