LVL 4 Ion Shell on Watchers??
Posted: Thu Aug 14, 2008 2:46 pmI was playing with my CLAN ZOMP! buddies the other night. We tried the Nerubian Weaver Watchers + Ion Shield combo and had mixed results. My question is: Later in the game when I cast Ion Shield on the watchers the shield would instantly disappear... does anyone know why? Does it stop at a certain level of the skill?? Was the a bug or is it intentional?

well i dunno... it might be that its imba if its lvl 4. otherwise they WILL die. so get rid of it. its a bit lik wards and roshan. no wards in and no wards around it. plus i found a good ward spot for roshan and rune wow. also its not that retarded lame 1 i pointed out. oh wait u already no all this lol. hahaha. just lettin the people no of wat i think. XD.

You should get a picture of the roshan area and point out where the warding location is for everyone.

8 times 75 is 600 damage per second. That's 5 more than 17 Radiances going at once.

Do the watchers have some sort of magic immunity? I don't think so but maybe lvl 3 and lvl 4 ion shells are considered different types of spells (although that doesn't make any sense)

Dark seer can only put 1 ion shell at a time so it will only be 75 dps, but 600 dmg is still a lot early game

@topic... btw, it lasts 15 seconds so that would be 15*75= 1,125... but I think you have to take magic resistance into account so it would actually be more like 750 give or take, also its a little hard to keep in on the enemy for the full duration.

well, the entire point of the combo is to kill them, but it makes no sense for lvl 3 ion shell to work but not lvl 4, the only difference is the dps (at least I think)
and I just realized this, but you spelled shield wrong when making this topic

Also, I didnt try lvl 3 to see if that works.. I only know that lvl 2 works and lvl 4 doesnt.

I tried it both in single player and multiplayer (with a few friend of mine), and it worked fine. 75dmg/sec was given normally Oo I'll check the rep when I have time
EDIT: It's probably a glitch of some sort. Try changing the watcher next time (didn't watch it all so if you did :P)

its shell and not shield. good idea about the combo, just realised, watchers have max ms, so its rly good. should work fine, probably a glitch, like u no everything works fine, but if u do that and that, then it doesnt work

sure it`s a good idea, but let`s not forget that in teams, this could be countered by wards/gems...
and dark`seer + anub`seran doesn`t provide the necesary strength to actually win a game
