A purge of the strategies

Posted: Tue Aug 12, 2008 1:07 am

I've noticed that some outdated strats are starting to clog up the hero database. With new changes, strats involving the new changes should either be edited or deleted.

A few examples:
-Any strat that instructs the player to build an aegis. By updating such a strat, you free up an inventory slot for a luxury item.
-Old lycan strats. With the new reworks, lycan is almost a whole new hero.
-Old dazzle starts. Same as lycan.

this is a good issue. tf the author of the guide is obviously inactive for months or years, and with no clue if he'll be back, then that means his guide will never be updated. deletion of their guides will take place.

orochi did that last month to some of the guides.

I WANT MOSTO F THEM GONE!!! But for the sake of just having a strat for a certain hero they cannot purge them all.

@coco: the only thing worse than no information is wrong informaion. If we keep nerly useless strats solely for accesorizing a hero, then the entire concept of the purge is null and void.

This issue is all too true. Though this may sound kinda mean, I really want the (how should I say it) low quality guides to be knocked off.

Belongs in Bugs and Suggestions.

A few of the strats are still applicable even if they included Aegis. Some strats however don't include new recipe items, for example which makes the hero less efficient.

Note however that the date the strat was published/updated is included on the page and common sense dictates that a strat published and non-updated since 2006 is an outdated guide. I still support this suggestion to clear up server space.

I hate wrong grammar, it reminds me of the b*tch of a teacher I had. So if you don't want to remind me of that b*tch of a teacher, take grammar lessons.
