what do you think is the best item build for mortred and gondar? Smile

Basically the items you should never use with the 2 heroes are:

1. Crixalis (crit)
2. Buriza (crit)
3. Butterfly (evasion)

Just go to my sticky in the items subforums about criticals and evasion for further information for those who don't know why^^

As for me though My Mortred build is...

1. Threads or BOT
2. Helm of Dominator < I sometimes convert to Satanic if I have a big wad of cash.
3. MKB
4. BKB < If lots of disablers, stunners, etc
5. Radiance or aegis and rapier

To be honest never made it to 5th unless I skip bkb and satanic

I never use Butterfly with these 2 heroes, because you have your own evassion so it will not stack, and criticals too it doesn't stack, they have their own so my item build is:

Power threads
HoM
Satanic-or-S&Y
Mkb
Radiance
Aegis

S&Y can be changed with Aegis too, it depends on how much Hp do you want!

Please avoid double posts. Use the Edit button. That's what it's there for.

Anyway, Mortred can easily become effective even with a simple:
Power Treads
Battlefury (for creeping, as Mortred doesn't have any AOE skill)
Hyperstone
MKB

Usually the game ends here, but you can add other items that suit the situation. Also, don't forget about basic early items like Bracers, Wraith Bands, and Ring of Regeneration.

Battle Fury (more useful in later versions)
Satanic
Monkey King Bar
