Im still "new" around here but I was just at lunch with a friend of mine who is also a Hardcore player and we sat and tried to figure out our next venture in gaming.

Dota was our next pro step, we got heavy into the game played on high end games "found out Pendragon_ lived in my town so we kinda got along and it went from there" After noticing Dota having absolutely no clue on the future I did not wanna waste the years like I did on sc to get to that level and find out its a gd outter country game "phili/kor/euro"

We continued to talk, I do not like to make myself seem bad ass or anything I beg you to really understand that, but I came from DAOC the pvp game of MMO's and he was from WOW wich is the carebear game that brought MMO to the masses. He dug the pvp in it and I laughed hard at how slow and rediculous the pvp is. But the games ripped from eachother all major ideas... STRAIGHT RIP! the gd orcs in WOW were designed by a fking workshop team making Warhammer....

Im a old sc "league" player ... Xds Grrr Maynerd pillars etc days so I love rts/rpg/thinking games

He is old console games very high ranking FPS player on meny circits and a huge WOW nut and has yet to not buy a game with more then a 2 rating or higher "not a lie lol scary huh"

I am 26 and he is 21 the age difference is a factor in my thinking.

Combinded we cover almost every major style of game from basicly "noob" level to scratching or actully IN "elite" level

We have decended into the thought of playing Age of conan. After much thinking and reading we have come to the idea that gaming is gone south for now. We play a game that is over 4 years old? we buy new games play for 2 months or less and trash them and wait for patches for dota.

We play to win ... we go big or we go home, if you are casual this post might really just make u say wtf are you talking about but if you go hard on every game and like to put more "notches on our belt" in the game world then you might wanna take a second.

We have now decided to go to Warhammer online, we have connection to some of the "big names" in WOW/DAOC/Lin/GW etc but as we talked It kinda turned into a convo we had a million times, structure of the guild/lvling tactics etc all shit brought by other games that have been basic "guide lines" for every fking game of that type. So what I am saying is, going hard on games now and trying to achive the greatest lvl of that game is now even more insane with the WCG and other major olympic type tournies making you almost famous. The tried methods of gaming now just being coded by game makers in sneaky ways that just make things look different.

I disagree with alot of games coming out, by simply knowing main char look and the type of weapon they have, the type of game and the first 2 sec of the "back story" of most games I have the whole idea of the game and really wont be impressed by anything because I seen it before. They design it to instantly involve you and give you the feel you know what is in the box but do you really want that? we are f****** gamers. This is what being a gamer was about just 10 years ago.

All the HUGE games in WCG and most major tournies are games of ages 5 or older, new games like Gears of war and the new RTS version of War40k "not to new but for the sake of what Im saying" I know you need to be popular to become a "pro" game but gdi it is the same sh*t in every box. Gaming might be exploding and taking it far into mainstream but with that us as true gamers are being left behind because we dont want to venture into the same box with a different cover.

So after my rant ill shell it up, We play old games that are the first of their kind, we have a few around with breath in them to keep us happy but nothing really looks new to anybody. The real thinkers are stomped by people who can reverse engineer a game and use the basics to create a "new" game with absolutly no real thought. I could "s**t" a game better then halo "personal beef with halo" just think about those games and how "new" the difference between them are. Holding onto the "idea" is one thing to slap us with nothing new is another "new ideas not new maps/guns"

SC/Warhammer say new exciting style of stuff, but we will see. blurring the game types RTS/MMO/RPG does not mean you just invented a new style of game, just means your a gd fool to think we wont see your gd sneaky ass being all sneaky snake like, busted you basterds we arnt dumb.

I feel you man. Let me simplify. They keep making the same games with different covers. All games nowadays are the same just polished and re wrapped.

this type of shit doesnt only apply to games...it applies to every mother -bleep- thing that ever existed.....tv shows all have the same shitty format,celebrities are like multiplying by themselves every minute and they all look alike,im pretty sure that the brat that plays hannah montana will walk the same dirty path that britney took and will eventually end up dead...i feel for you man,and if i can only do anything about it,there'll be bullets flying all around..
