There is a saying....

In anime, the more cool-looking your mech, the more powerful it is.
In reality, that's not the way it goes.

This also apply for armor for heroes and heroines (mostly anyway)
For guys...The flashier the armor, the stronger the armor.
For girls...The more skin exposed, the stronger the armor.

Btw, The Evil Empire is offline....AGAIN.
