Mystic Booster (another one of my brain farts)

Mystic Staff + Energy Booster + Celestial Scepter Recipe (1850)

Stats- Gives +350 mana and +30 int

Active skills- Celestial Essense

An aura forms around one enemy hero close to you within 850 AoE of the Mystic Booster (when activated) that drops all spell resistance to 0% for 5 seconds. Any spells used during that 5 seconds will have shorter cooldown, regular spells will cooldown 25% faster, ultimates will cooldown 10% faster.

Mana cost- 150
Cooldown- 50 seconds.

Note: The cooldown will stop being x% faster as soon as it cooldowns once. So you could cast this, cast your ult, and for the entire cooldown it will cooldown 10% faster (not just the 5 seconds).


Many people complain about int heroes being poor late gamers, and this item helps to improve them late game. The price may seem a bit low, but think of it in a way that it would be hard to farm for the recipe AND mystic staff (and energy booster....). both energy booster and mystic staff only have one use, and this would be good as an alternative to Aghanim's that won't replace it IMO .

2) Yes
3) Almost.It's too much to have +25% of your spells power.(the hero armor gives 25% spell resistance without any aditional effects)Imagine Lina or Sharpeye with +25% ultimate which cools 10% faster.
4) Yes,coz the recipe is most of it.

9) Probably

Pretty much. Reminds me of Chen's penitence.

Yes. As you said, INT heroes.

3) Is this item balanced?
Yes. Except for the cooldown. 60 seconds!!!

4) Does this item cost the right amount?
Yep.

5) Does this item benefit a fair number of players?
Allied and enemy heroes? Yep.

6) Does the item have a consistant graphical theme?
Yep. Nice icon.

7) Does this item synergize with specific hero skills?
Spammer hero skills. Would work well with Luna Moonfang and Rylai Crestfall.

8 ) Does this item contribute to new build orders?
I don't get this. O_O

9) Is this item fun to play with and use?
I dunno. Never tried it. It is a dream item, after all. It might be fun..

10) Is the item description easy to read and well laid out
