Syllabear - The Lone Druid

One of the most expensive heroes to build since you are building bother your hero and the bear.

my bears items are rejuvenation,powerthreads,ring of bassilus, or vladimirs offering... threads your bear will go fast in move speed and attack speed, vladimirs,bassilus,rejuvenation you dont need to carry them but it will affect you...aura... life steal...regenaration

He is the total killer!!!So what u build even 4 teddy?Never mind.Anyway,2 heroes in one,that's what is called POWER!!If u know how to play 4 him,nobody can get u.Little speed boost,then rabid and everybody can just .... off.

best build for melee form-threads,sange&yasha,2bashers ,butterfly,
heart ........and 4 spirit bear-lifesteal aura,2bashers,sange&yasha,boots of travel,butterfly.......hmm-expensive but achievable in a 5vs5 hard mode

i build 2 vanguards and 2 ptreads for this hero after arming druid w/ basi and 2xWB. if buddybear gets low in hp, he goes home to heal and druid holds onto both van for +500hp and 8hp regen/sec. buddybear's entangle triggers ridiculously often, and its realy easy to kill kill kill as long as druid has enough hp to ignore peripheral dmg, hence the need for van/s and, ultimately, hot. for bear, i giv him d 2vans later on and crys or better. vladimir is a must for bear to last longer in battle. the impt thing is i prioritize giving spirit bear atk speed items and buffs in early game, as his entangle effect is my bread and butter tool to tie down heroes for a killing

@ braveheart: why 2 power treads. I find 1 and a hyperstone are much better because the movement speed doesnt stack.

the bear can have the gem cuz the gem does not drop even if it dies!! same goes with divine rapier.. but hard to make this hero THAT strong because you need to be THAT rich to have THAT much damage...

once u learn One with the bear summoned, u can pretty much live through anything

if u stack 6 divines (doubt u would even hav that many) it would cost over 30k... u cant earn that much money in a game unless u purposely make it last longer. what would syllabear wield then?

i dont understand why people get HoT for bear... u can summon him easily, just the cooldown. i got my bear a lothars once, dumbest idea cos the bear cant come from behind because of the attack range thing.

Why would u even put the hearts/lothars on the bear for goodness sake? Hearts -> does the bear have stats (STR,AGI,INT)? Did u think the +35 STR would translate into hp for the bear? Lothars -> where's the mana for the bear to use it? If u had the wisdom to buy hearts, pls - put in on syllabear. And if u need wisdom, i say u don't need lothars. Whether on the bear or syllabear. Oh my god...

u literally dont need any boots with this hero in early game, just rabid urself and synergy.
at late game if u want to get some kills, then u will need boots

Boots of Travel,Heart of Tarrasque,BattleFury,Vladmir's,Burizado,
MKB for hero and nothing on the spirit bear is my way of doing it.I use bear
as spare half like a chicken or even collecting gold while I am away at base
Use travel boots wisely to sneak up upon buildings ;RETURN your spirit bear to ur location and Begin Rabid on urself and bear alternately
Stay in bear form as long as possible to keep Vladir going on...

i like the bear thing but at the beginning i priorities synergy and rabid and try to get maelstrom early to farm and if im done with my item thats the time im gonna put my skill point for spirit bear.

Only fools stack the bear. Sylla canbecome a true god if you focus on buying items for HIM and not the retarded bear. The best way to build his skills is to avoid putting points into it at all and max out everything else. Then, get BoT, AnY, Bfly, HoT, Basher. Constantly keep yourself rabid after you max Synergy out. The reason you do this is 1. You can't be caught unless the enemy finds a haste rune. and 2. they can't escape you! The Maim from SnY will keep them slowed while you wail on them with attacks. Also, when you have the Basher, that's when it's time to stay in trueform. Follow that strategy and you will have the enemy yelling 'HAX' every few minutes. Oh, and when you have to put points into the bear, use it to scout the enemy creeping areas.

I thin the Spirit Bar is a good bar for figting with tanker if he has a good item with he.

Thats cos Syllabear is essentially two heroes in one, the bear hurts bigtime

Theoretically best hero in very late game.

he his very very good carry hero and one of my favorites. and al i put on the bear is treads and maybe radience. you dont need heart or things like that.

Syllabear can be a
1) Battering ram: Probably the best anti-tower hero unit in the game. Bear gets demolish and can tank the tower for a LONGGG time.

2) Tank. One. It's all about One.

Bear's main purpose early game is to claim towers, harass enemies, and the like. Later, the bear turns into a massive HP buff for you, not to mention there's always entangle.

Rabid is a godsend. Spam it. Spam it a lot. When wading into a combat zone, it's best to go in as a bear with One activated. When ganking heroes, go for the BoT, activate Rabid, and run then down in ranged mode.

But uh...yeah. Like Bard said. There's really not that much point in stacking the bear. Just mabye, a pair of bashers and some treads might not go amiss if you're filthy rich.

what happens if your bear dies with the items

Whosoever says don't stack the bear, all deserve to feed in whatever games they play.

he bear really only needs attack speed to get entangle. hes also a free chicken with immediate return

The only items you need for this hero...treads and radiance on bear...trav, hood, and heart on syllabear...thats it

just make radiance ,stout shield ,powertreads,to the bear and you can gie enemy hero a big problem

This is my expensive built - get 2 power trends, 1 assualt cuirass, and then fill it all up with Cranium bashers. GG auto win.

the bear has entangle, so u wont need cranium bashers and syllabear will only benefit from cranium bashers when hes in bear form, meanin he cant use rabid or summon the bear if it dies. plus the attack speed isnt that great.

I usually get Syllabear BoT, Vladmirs offering, SnY and assualt cuirass. then i get the bear pt, mkb and if possible, a radiance.

u got a fast moving hero (can also use rabid to move faster) that has auras which help ur bear and a bear which damages massive damage, with the help of auras, its health wont go down because damage dealt against it is reduced and gains lifesteal.

so the complete build is..
Syllabear - BoT, Vladmirs Offering, Sange and Yasha, Assault Cuirass
Spirit Bear - PT, MKB, Radiance.

people forget that the bears damage does absolutely nothing at late game, only entangle is good.

BTW, at level two, the bear gains 1800 health, not 800.

rapier might be nice on the bear. if bear dies he'll drop but ur hero can pick up. only weakness is if ur hero dies (which if ur good, he wont)

Spirit Bear information is wrong.
Lvl 1 - Summons bear with 1400 health
Lvl 2 - Summons bear with 1800 health and return ability
Lvl 3 - Summons bear with 2200 health, return ability and entangle ability (don't remember if you get demolish too)
Lvl 4 - Summons bear with 2700 health, return ability, entangle ability, demolish ability, 33% spell resistance and can hold up to 6 items.

Why would you put HoT on a bear? The bear doesnt actually receive benefits from STR so 35 STR doesnt do anything, you get ONLY 300 hp from it... Just buy a vitality booster or a vanguard... Satanic: Same thing.

Your bear does not need lifesteal.

Syllabear learns to morph himself into a brown bear. He can morph freely between human and bear form.
Level 1 - 250 bonus health.
Level 2 - 400 bonus health and has Battle Cry.
Level 3 - 600 bonus health and has One.

If bear dies it keeps items and you can res it in like 2 seconds depending on the cd

I didnt read all the comments to see if someone wrote this already, but am I the only one that uses druid without the bear skill at all? It works really well and I have builds for ranged and melee versions, just wondering if Im alone.

i have the easiest time killing syllabear, especially ones that work on stacking their bear first, nova the summon for nova damage to syl, and then one chain and he's done.
ANYWAYS the most successful syllabear's i've ever seen just basically stack aura's on their bears, vlads, curiass, etc. of course, i don't see a lot of syllabears, so i don't know. i got him in -ar, went like 5-5, not my favorite hero.

my build for bear is tank/damage spec.

Syllabear. PT (str), butterfly, heart, crystalis.

Spirit Bear. Hyperstone, PT (str).

Honestly I've never liked this hero, and I've never liked ANYONE's build on him...cept mine.
You see...EVERYONE PUTS ITEMS ON THE BEAR!!! why? why do people do that?
DON'T EVER GET THE BEAR! when you put items on the bear...you leave yourself vulnerable...and weak.
so I just put a good build on The hero...since if the hero dies... the bear would be gone anyways...its really not worth spending 5k+ gold on a unit and leaving your hero to die everytime.

buy assault curass and blademail for yourself, and a hyperstone and bashers for your bear. that way, your armours insane, and if your bear dies... well just summon another one. GG

HoT is pointless for the bear. It works better on sylla b/c bear doesnt get str bonus.

try giving both syllabear and spirit bear radiance.

I've seen may different builds for him... some totally went into bears while others simply see their bears as junk. However. what makes syllabear unique is its ability to control two builds in 1! All u nid is balance build btw the 2 like going all def on syllabear while full offence for bear. Of course auras will really come in handy for teaming builds like him.

If the Spirit Bear dies while carrying items, do you lose the items?

If the bear dies, it keeps its items. Would be kind of silly if it lost its radiance on death

The bear is good for chasing and disabling. Be sure that you build them evenly.

If you want to retain the range, then HoT is a must. On the other hand, if you prefer to go melee, HoT becomes optional because what you need is either Butterfly or Lothar's Edge. If you're fighting int-type heroes, Orchid Malevolence and BKB is pretty nifty.

Make sure that you don't focus on your spirit bear too much. Its role is to harass your enemy, do enough damage and let Sylla end your enemy's misery.

If you want, you can make Sylla a vicious tank/nuker with Dagon, Meka and Necro. The thing is, you should be in Bear Form and Intensive Microing in order for it to be effective. I've tried it, and it's decent. Seriously, I can make some Int Heroes run back to their fountain. And a little thing, He's fat. use it to your advantage. Block running heroes and let your bear and necros do enough damage then send them off to heaven with dagon.

Oh yeah, another thing. Buriza, Hyper and PT on bear is enough in this build. Though the only thing is, be on a look out for Anti-Mage or anyone who has Mana burn. But hey, this build's great for team play.

One last thing. Be aggressive. AC is a very promising item but it's a pain to build early game. With Vlads, you sometimes don't need extra armor since you can always heal your spirit bear with meka and giving 2 Hypers and buriza, Spirit Bear doesn't have to go back to the fountain.

What is "Battle Cry" and "One"?

* bonus 20 damage for Syllabear, Spirit Bear or anything that is under his control(necro, dominated creep...)

Sorry for the triple, but lemme just share you something. To those who're interested and is new in playing this fella, if you opt to sacrifice your range, by switching into bear form, if you wanna heal, just go back to druid form then heal then transform back because hp gained by transforming is % based.

suggest sylla get s&y, pt, b-fury(late game when you become bear), cuirass, B-fly, b-fly, The bear just pt.. and a cranium basher... and just get hyperstones for it...

bear:
treads, assault, hyperstone(buy as much as long as you can), basher(optional)

and also rabid is for bear not for syllabear, its for pushing and for killing but it is can also be used for escaping.

unless you give your spirit bear any item that raises mana(arcane ring, blah blah). be warned though, spirit bear will not regenerate mana except for brilliance aura

i think most builds are tooooo expensive.....if i have sylla first bear then go woods buy a ring of regen and a ring of prot. then 2 boots, complete bassilius, get a pot on bear and yourself (str), complete vladimir and farm the forrest until u have eaglehorn, skill ulti and complete btf- +1000 hp 30 evasion and ls - imba tank dmg dealer and if u rabid bear he is fast enough and he doesnt need bashers

Dont use HoT because the bear has no stats and therefore it does not get any hp bonus from 35 str. If you want your bear to live longer, I suggest getting it a Vanguard

This hero certainly does'nt suck. He is just harder to use than other heroes because you have to be fast and switch through both sylla and the spirit bear. Once you master this, then you will see how powerful he really is
