Rooftrellen - The Treant Protector

A treant of immense age and wisdom, Rooftrellen was merely a sapling during the invasion of the Burning Legion. Having grown powerful over thousands of years, Rooftrellen has lent his considerable might to the Sentinel cause. An omnipresent force in the forest, he is capable using his power over the forest to hide his allies. Rooftrellen is aided by the forest itself, providing him with a thick living armor of vines and entangling nearby foes in a deadly embrace, allowing Rooftrellen to pound his victims to dust with his massive gnarled limbs.

Nature`s Guise (T)
Changes a target friendly unit's appearance so that it blends in with the forest. It is invisible to enemies eyes, but it must remain near a tree, or the guise is lost.
Level 1 - Lasts 15 seconds.
Level 2 - Lasts 30 seconds.
Level 3 - Lasts 45 seconds.
Level 4 - Lasts 60 seconds.
Mana Cost: 90 / 80 / 70 / 60
Cooldown: 3

Eyes in the Forest (E)
Creates a spiritual link between Rooftrellen and a target tree, allowing Rooftrellen to see the tree's surrounding area at all times. Vision improves slightly per level. Very large cast range.
Level 1 - 300 second cooldown.
Level 2 - 225 second cooldown.
Level 3 - 150 second cooldown.
Level 4 - 75 second cooldown.
Mana Cost: 100 / 75 / 50 / 25
Cooldown: 300 / 225 / 150 / 75

Living Armor (V)
Magically creates an armor of vines around a friendly unit, protecting it from harm and healing wounds.
Level 1 - Adds 3 armor and regenerates 1 hit point per second.
Level 2 - Adds 6 armor and regenerates 2 hit points per second.
Level 3 - Adds 9 armor and regenerates 3 hit points per second.
Level 4 - Adds 12 armor and regenerates 4 hit points per second.
Mana Cost: 30 / 35 / 40 / 40
Cooldown: 7

Overgrowth (R)
Summons an overgrowth of damaging vines and branches. Prevents all nearby enemies from moving or attacking and deals 85 damage per second to each.
Level 1 - Lasts 3 seconds.
Level 2 - Lasts 4 seconds.
Level 3 - Lasts 5 seconds.
Mana Cost: 150 / 175 / 200
Cooldown: 160

this guy is a tank! imagine with Aegis, Rapier, Heart, Buriza, Butterfly, and Eye of Skadi (u need powertreads in there somewhere) he'd do like...700 damage or something (but very slow attack speed, which is why u need powertreads). btw is his second skill permanent?

treant is a strength hero and only needs enough mana to perform his ulti. Natures Guise, wait for anti mage to walk past u, living armour, overgrowth. antimage cant do anything for the duration of ur ulti and with him bein a strength hero not mana dependant once his ulti is used, u will win.

buy a cranium basher to stun so he cant blink away, manta style to create illusions blockn his path and drain magina health and if ur n00b enough to let him escape, dagger of escape to blink strike him for a final blow or hes really far away. or buy guinsoo :P

just wish that your stun will hit first before he uses overgrowth. rootfrelen is a good combi with rhasta, overgrowth then wards, if still not dead, there's always shackles and voodoo. ^_^

try using tiny because of his craggy exterior, warchief because of his return and mortred because of her blur and I think faceless void because of his bactrack. Not so sure about faceless though.

faceless void can kill anyone with his ulti... unless its someone like rikimaru (u cant see him), nerubian weaver (her ulti, everything gets set back 5 seconds assumin she dont die), skeleton king or abbadon (thank u immortality, refresher orb a must)... basically most nukers and stunners. most people wont buy the linkens sphere unless someones got the guinsoo, so get the guinsoo anyway, then when he wastes all his money on buyin linkens, switch to a different tactic.

Guys. A good silencer or for that matter Doom. That kills all windwalks, blinks, and even SA's permanent invisiblity for that duration. Oh, and so does Chronosphere like you said (*cough*, wrongly) before.

Look anti-mage has low hp, but blinks away from heavy attack. The way to kill him is to DISABLE his skills. Any permabasher or someone like Rasta can kill him by himself. Stunners can also kill him if used right. So bacisally many people are good for anti-mage it all depends how you play him.

Lol i saw this treant who farmed all game, he wasnt a threat so we let him farm, bad idea, he farmed 2 hearts, hyperstone, radiance, satanic, tele boots.

Why don't buy radiance??It would be great for farming and u can stay invisible in treas and immolate heroes and creeps^^. It's really funny and its also improves your ulti damage (95+35=130 dmg per sec) and if u have refresher (buy it after radiance)for 10 sec u will do 1300 dmg FTW!! Refresher is GREAT for 5vs5 it disables many heroes and help a LOT. U dont need bashers. After Radiance and refresher buy battlefury(great farming) HOT and Assault Curraiss(power treads ofc).

Well I actually have no prob with Treant, but i feel like i want to reduce Treant's Overgrowth cooldown a bit. I cant do anything but to support my team mates when overgrowth is under cooldown. I would like at least a 10 sec reduction from its skill cooldown to make him a bit interesting.(sorry if i cant place this kind of topic here)

He has a skill to spy u all. Enemies will difficult to gank him.
Max Eyes in the Forest after max Living Armor. It will useful to view all of your enemies activites in many places^_^

By late game, if you have Power Treads + Radiance + Monkey King Bar + Refresher + Aegis + Hyperstone you're INVINCIBLE. Power Treads + Hyperstone allows you to smash the enemy like crazy, Radiance + Monkey King Bar ensures that you do enough damage every hit, Refresher makes sure the enemy doesn't fight back or run away, and Aegis lets you keep fighting. The Refresher Orb is much more useful now that Overgrowth Level 3 only costs 200 mana, and that's bad news for that Bane Elemental...

I could say this is my 2.favorite hero, Rooftrellen is much of a supportive hero . I prefer that first ofc get Ring of Regegenation and Boots of Speed, then get Treads, 2 Null Talismans for some nice mana and stats. Then start working on Refresher Orb, because Refresher + Rank 3 Overgrowth is really...and i do mean REALLY useful in group ganking. After you have Refresher Orb and other things I have said then get Radiance, it really works with ultimate again. Some other things you could get are MKB, HoT, Basher. But most important is to get some mana and Refresher Orb and the Radiance, Treads too. I'd be glad if you try my item build.

Im sorry, but get any item you want, manta or whatever, atk speed on this guy is crap, just dont forget treants best item, MASK OF MADNESS if u dont use MoM on roof then ur just a noob, and btw i never got into refresher. I go Vanguard, MoM, BoT, HoT and manta if it gets that late, usually ill end with all of them cept manta will be point and diffusal. Me with Rooftrellen = GG i should even make a strategy, if only i wasnt so god damned lazy.

never tried to use ulti both at the same time, usually people use it for a 10 second hold.

and the cooldown for living armour and natures guise is wrong, i think it goes something like
Living Armour - 2-5 seconds.
Natures Guise - 10-15 seconds

No I just use the Refresher like this for exam. rank 3 overgrowth, let be like 5 second and hit as much you can then, when the overgrowth stops refresh skills with orb and new overgrowth then, MoM on and Radiance in your equips. 10 (85dmg per/sec + 35dmg per/sec [Radiance's]+ Mom + Own attacks which have like 100 bonus damage. Great.

This is a gd tip:

(1) A refresher orb is not the best because the CD for his ulti is just over 2min. Might as well buy a blink dagger or heart to boost his hp.

(2) His invis Guise is screwed when you buy a radiance because it gives your position away near an opposing hero.

(3) Vlads are an affective build for Trent because with a hp regen ability he can boost up to full hp in 30 seconds *from early hundreds*.

-again just my thoughts because i have played this guy alot and learnt extreme not what to-dos.

Nice Build.. but I'll discourage MOM and bashers as it'll be a waste of ur money. Unless you're a dps hero killer, bashers are great.. but in this case, u're basically a great support tanker. So BE LIKE ONE!!! Tear down those items, and make hearts.. But why will treant nid a heart.. bah! He's a tree!

I strongly suggest to farm 4 helm of the iron will for this guy at early game cause it stacks with ur living armour... But beware of Tangoes, u make be mistaken and eaten instead! A great follow up in mid-late game.. as I said is somewhat similar. Assault cuirass for amour.. 2 hearts and a refresher orb if the game hangs..

For the much earlier post.. Assault cuirass is Meant for support auras and the addition armour to make treant more damage resistant. So, it'll be great, as ur ulti sets gangs up and your allies benefit from the armour reduction and att speed. HEHE

Goes well with any team... if u make a tanker build. Nevermore will benefit from him a lot (eleaboration at my post on Nevermore). His Living armour is spammable.. and if u face mana or farming problems, u can add battlefury to ur build. BE Flexible.. Be a rubberman!

Undoubtedly one of the strongest heroes.
He farms easily with his high base dmg, and is almost impossible to sent him back to the fountain early to mid game;

If you're playing 1 on 1 against magina, a diff build is possible.. But not as ripped as Lupeman's guinsoo.
Treant is a great disabler, and his ulti has a low mana cause for its effect.
All u nid is a proper timing between your double ulti and I assure u that he'll never blink out alive =)

About the MOM part... I usually don't take it like Faceless void, but its very situational like Cranium said... I'll usually let my allies finish the rest during my ulti.. while I'll let radiance and overgrowth take its toll.

This guy is a support hero and not a killer.
Just get him BoT, radience, MoM(you need some attack speed), refresher if you want and then some tanking items like assult, HoT or blade mail if other team has lots of melee heores.

So when you acivate you overgrowth you can a greater abilty to kill, and if not, your enemy will have no mana remaining, and therefore less likely to escape alive. Your necro warriors are invaluable to your especially to help them escape or kill. Your warriors are also a great way to help in a battle even if you, as in your character are unable to participate in combat. They are great for pissing people off and sending them back to base for a laugh too

not just a supporter,but a good and tricky killer if you know how to use.... ..and the first skill is good for gangbang....and I think all his skills are good....joined with a thick armor..^^

Well, this build worked for me late game versus omniknight with 4500+ hp and normal dmg + about 300. I had stolen his divine rapier twice and bought two of my own, and then i had my radiance and treads. My dmg was normal lvl 25 dmg +1070 and even though i only got him because i had aegis i would say that it was a preferable build, against any other hero.. But i guess it has to be really late game when u can afford these items btw. i still had 5k after i bought 4th rapier..

Treant Protector > Anti Mage

Ultimate gets basically doesn't allow the people effected to attack, and silenced. So basically Magina can't blink out of Overgrowth, and everyone else is useless.

First of the agi based power treads would add to his attack speed, second off the basher would help keep people in place while he ults and is sort of a disabler for him. Radiance is really more of a chaser's item but w/e floats ur boat. Personally i like to play the characters out and make item builds relative to what the hero would ideally be like.

My item guide for this hero is very defensive.Must have a agility power threads for attack speed.Then aim for offering for extra armour and lifesteal.Then mecanism for healing and extra armour.After that a vanguard for hp regeneration and hp.Th3n i aim for assault for attack speed and extra armour.Last is radiance.You may say that its attack is low but Rooftrellen is a defensive hero.This hero should tag with Lich. After i had all the items,i buy refresher and own.My damage reduction was 89%.
