Kardel is one of my most favorite killing-sponsorer hero!

i think canas24 was talking about his fantastic first skill. scatter shot can help you mkae skadi and hyperstone very quick. with that, you can farm quickly for rest of items/feed your allies with good items. hes gr8 when paired with boneclinkz!

kardel's better without scattershot,i find that skill not as useful as many people say. prefer take aim and headshot.. that's why i think kardel is really powerful
If someone techs scatter shot first, they should have at least one void stone.Only noobs take scatter shot when he has a limited mana pool. if sumones's keep scattering he will have to borrow mana from ........... to assasinate!!!!

if your soloing against two heros, id definately get scatershot with a ring of basil.. atleast lvl 2 so you can do some damage to both heros cause noone like to pick up a double damage and go in for a gank and find two full strength heros
Tip for scattershot. Do not use it from a distance. Use it when you are in the middle of the creeps, cause that way it does more damage. Also vs mellee heroes. Let them come close and then scatter, not scatter from a distance. You get huge damage. Works great on int heroes if they come close to you, kapow, scatter (even at lvl 2) it takes about half of their lives
kardel is a hero that can kill any hero if he has a sange and yasha and a hyperstone is enough for him to god like
no need 4 S&Y. Skadi & hyperstone can make him almost untouchable.
for me Kardel's best items are
power threads,Eye of skadi, Buriza ,Butterfly, MKB and Perseverance
you can use kardel as a support or as a killer. to be a support kardel, you must have a lot of mana for scatter shot. guinsoo will do. mr exodus said kardel with scater shot is a noob. lvl 4 scater shot can clear all the creeps. for 120 mana, this is good. scatter shot is the best farming skill in dota. can you name a hero that can clear all the creeps for 120 mana? even int heroes cant do that. for 120 mana you can have 300-500 gold. as for the late game, you can assassinate all you want. for clash, scatter shot to clear out all the creeps use guinsoo and sheep your opponents. you've never seen a support kardel.
mr exodus, shut up and study more. you've never been a tank or a support. all you know is KILL STEAL.
I agree with Upen. Kardel is the hero of my choice and it has never let me down in 5vs5 and in solo vs 5AI. Usually I build my Kardel as an INT limiting my items to a Eul and concentrating with farming using Euls to escape from enemy heroes then gradually shifting to AGI prioritizing AS and Critical namely any agi items although i end up with S&Y with S first then Buriza by selling the Euls when its used up or when I can spam my scatters. then at lategame all my items would be for AGI. thats when Kardel pwns with extreme prejudice.

easiest hero, for my opinion. Equip him with proper item (such as damage-increasing item), and always shoot ur enemy. Watch their HP, if it is below 300, do ur assasinate.

It's strange to see a whole community against Scattershot... Given his skills are good, but sometimes Scattershot is all you need to complete a shoot-shoot-shoot-Scatter-Nate combo. It's a nuke for me, not a 100% farming tool. Who ever has truoble with farming for Kardel anyway -_-
like the range... but anyone who can haste or windwalk or invisibity to this guy and hes screwed!!! his ulti is like ezalor's Illuminate only further and thats not ezalors ulti
i just realised... u can gank the lvl 25 neutral creep dude without havin to worry about bein stunned... ud hav to worry about people in the surroundin area to attack u though, it might take some time though, so buy some items that increase damage for a ranger... which i hav no idea what they r.
for me...dis hero cn kill most hero with lvl 4 headshot, lvl 3 take aim, lvl 1 assasinate and 1 yasha. (sange and yasha will help)
not rikimaru, bone klinkz, broodmother or drow ranger with lothars.... basically any hero who has lothars will kill this guy so easily. so playin this guy is a high risk

take cheapshots. when his life is 3/4 go 1 on 1 on him. if ur headshot is on lvl 4. his life should go dwn quick. when he starts running. den use assasinate.
with a sange and yasha. i can kill clinkz EASILY!!!
dnt wori bout da lothar. buy sange n yashaa and gem of treu sight (summink like dat) he cnt run away frm you. uwhen ur attacking him. ur head shot should stun him for a fraction of a secnd. dat helps!
I think that sniper is the best hero in the game !
If u have kardel with a monkey king bar, skadi , butterfly, boots of travel , no 1 can defeat u !
u cant use him to push though in late game which totally sucks, hes only a hero slayer and can kill roshan without bein touched.
nerubian weaver uses her skill... makes her invisible for 7 seconds and givin her max speed = sniper dead. also nightstalker or axe with lothars. whoa! crazy speed! Gem of True Sight is a must if u dont wana get killed by invis and watch out for people who can cyclone and can sheep.
Well, I myself use strategies as general method. i.e: when you don't know what your opponent look like, or the most neutral build. Not too offensive, not too defensive. But when dealing with hero that's harder than usual to handle for example, you need to improve the gameplay yourself and change the item and skill build as needed. For instance against bone clinx, obviously, it's not so comfortable going against clinx without sentry or gem, I would prefer sentry though. And going scatter shot is a very risky choice in this situation since it's range vs range. So better choose head shot and take aim. Also, buying harrassing item and defensive is more preferable for me in this kind of situation. buy diffusal blade for a clinx which does not have that many mana pool is also a strat to improve kardel's gameplay isn't it?
u should get lothar's edge(optional) and use assassinate and u still would be in ww. 
his ulti is really good though, its got fast cooldown and range so people tryin to flee r screwed :D, lothars and gem of true sight a must
i admit that i am a noob seking the help of some real proffesionals, i love this hero with the best regards but how in gods name do u use him to kill a hero like ogre magi?
ogre magi stunning is kinda unavoidable for me especially wen the person sneeks from behind.
also does magic reduction reduces stun time or stun damage? exactly wat is being reduced here?
I'm also a noob, so, don't know if this would help, but I think against ambush when you still can cast a spell (in the case that you are not absolutely hopeless), probably using manta is one good choice for me. many people would be distracted against 3 and doesn't know which one is real. So, unless your hp is low that time you can choose to counter him or run in different direction.
mantas not particularly good for this hero, but i can understand why u would want it as a fleein thing, but people usually attack the fleein hero among the clones if they are within range. lothars is a must for fleeing and guinsoo for fleein. some people will be assholes and get guinsoo too so u might wana linkens sphere. btw, >++l> i was playin AREM the other day, i got klinkz and i dominated this hero without usin any cheap shots. he too had the SnY but i had increased attack speed weapons and high hp items
the person/computer u faced must have been...dodgy...klinz is food 4 dis hero...when im usin him newayz.

They're just shortened versions, not nicknames. Names are Guinsoo`s Scythe of Vyse, and Manta Style. Guinsoo looks like an orange sword thing and Manta is a blue axe thing. So go look 'em up now. 
guinsoo has the ability to change heroes into sheep and manta can burn mana and create 2 images

ohh by the way u kno the items that reduce magic for example the aegis, or the planewalkers cloak?
what exactly is being reduced in a spell, the duration or the damage or what?
and if i am being stunned is thier anyway to actually get out of the stun quickly?
also in S and Y wen it say u have a percentage to maim the target, what does that mean exactly?
@Erosion: Maim means that 10% of your hits will active Maim, -35% attack speed ,
-35% movement speed for 6 sec ,
I think that magic reduce is for damage and duration, don't know exactly
I like to get just yasha. Makes him so quick, for escaping, as well attack speed. Saves the extra 3000 to complete SnY. Then BDK. I'll have to try Skadi w/ him. Going straight for damage is sweet with him because by the time other heros get to you they're down to far. If they try to run sniper does them in for good.
Lol guys i heard sum ppl said tat SnY is not a must for kardel sniper actually i tink it depends wat kind of game u wan if u really really wan a fast game go for SnY late game u dont get EOS and SnY either sell ur SnY or dont buy EOS two of them have orb effects is useless i tried tat and it maims and cold one time and one time so lame anywayz item build can b: Hyperstone, Aegis, Divine, Buriza, Butter, basher. I always go with a harass build early game. TA and then HS. Doom for whoever you are creeping against. By level 10 Kardel is untouchable by anything other than an ambush.
i need to ask y is it that this hero can never get as much kills as the others, am i THAT noob? has anyone actually get a first kill against a hero like earthshaker with this hero and the other person not a noob? HELP WANTED HERE
divine rapier and basher? ur headshot already has a chance to stun and this hero is so very easily killed if someone gets close. PT, Gem of True Sight, Buriza, Aegis, SnY and Lothars. u can spam his ulti on lvl 3 so ur a very good chaser :P
Ha! Kardel is one of the heroes who become very strong at lv.16. One of this cause is the assasinate which has a low mana cost and a very short delay and also has a super long range! 
Hey Guys! i know many of you think kardel is always strong and can kill just about all heroes. Well Sry! but all you people should also know that kardel have many weaknessess. I may consider that kardel is one of the heroes who will be very more stronger in level 16-25.
The people who says raise the 2nd and the 3rd skills of Kardel are either the pro or the middle class dota players. Why? because people who put on the 1st skill don't know the advantages of kardel.
The easiest hero to handle and manipulate! Being basic doesn't mean that it is useless! In fact, Kardel has the furthest normal attack range in DotA with that Take Aim givin' him a stealthy approach and safe distance from his targets! Assassinate is such a pain in the ass, especially for those goes guys who runs for their lives! While Headshot and Scatter Shot are good for Buildings! TANK you!
It's obvious that Take Aim is also good for Towers! Try givin' Kardel all the possible attack speed enhancer's that can be used by an individual without a problem like Butterfly + Sange & Yasha + Power Treads + Hand of Midas + Hyperstone & Mask of Madness! Please correct me if I'm wrong with some items like negation of Orb effects or something, piling it in your inventory might waste your money! But hey, this turns him into a powerful, long-range machinegunner! Try this, it's damn COOLER than Lich's Chain Frost, if it works perfectly! TANK you!

@lupeman. I know why you said manta is not particulary good for kardel, I'm still a noob so I don't know that many thing though, but with manta, you can open many possibilities on running. Of course in general, the running hero would be the right one, but who knows? Using manta is not a guarantee that you can survive depending on how lucky and how did you run, but using lothar would be much more dangerous, as I believe, the enemy would get you right away once they see you. Also, using manta gives some chance for your allies to save you (I assume you're fighting with more than 1 enemy). Imagine on how the enemy would spread away and then one of them who's chasing the real kardel get ganked. A quite nice result isn't it? That's only one example though, there are many others that you can do! The point is, the enemies could not predict how you're going to run. Also, guinsoo would help running away but only by slowing one of the chasers, so I think that's not the best case (even though it's nice) since the others can get you anyway. Other than that the negative side is it's much more expensive than lothar though.....
a pr0 would use lothars unless one of them has wards or gem. a clone can be easily destroyed by a single shot due to this heroes low hp and the 300% more damage each clone takes. which means any ranged nuker can destroy a clone in a single shot. just buy an aegis, they will keep u alive for 3 ganks. id suggest a lothars with it too cos the aegis is rather expensive and lothars will save ur ass on many occasions

hi kardel is the first hero i played and over time i developed a very different strategy compared to the 2 above. however it seems that when i go to "my strategies" and attempt to write about my experience with sniper, he isn't on the list of heros to choose from. please help and let me know how to write a guide for him. lol, headshoot is very good, increased damage and stun chance, someones goin to cast a massive spell on u. boom, they get headshotted and stunned and hav to wait for the cooldown without the skill bein cast. plus ur an excellent chaser too cos the range. should they nearly get out of range, assassinate.
y do people like assasinate so much? yes it is strongish and fast coldown but 655 is nothing for a hero like earthshaker or centaur warchief. if only assasinate is used u might as well saxe the mana.....
It is useful in early game especially against mages and agi heroes.
Assasinate is so good because 1) its a huge nuke, 2) it has a fast cooldown, 3) once targeted you are gona get shot because you aren't going to escape the range fast enough and cloaking does not stop assasinate. and 4) you can do it miles away in team game, so nuke + hit later can force someone to run or get someone killed.
Best items for Kardel : Eye of skadi, power treads and heart
some heroes want this guy so bad... i always see this guy tumble down...
this hero is overrated...without lothars, he goes down much too easily...
imagine a guy with around 2k HP. assassinate. he runs away cos kardel sharpeye is long range, kelens dagger of escape, assassinate again, hes lost 2/3 of his HP, u should hav enough time to get a third in if ur timin is good. u will need arcane ring and soulbooster because its very mana draining and boots of travel to catch up so u can assassinate. if u backdoor with lothars... ud get like 5 hits in. very closely behind enemy, assasinate. he sees u and if hes not a stunner, he flees which means u can assassinate to death, if he fights u, blink dagger away and assassinate.

im a kardel player,he has a gold chest not a gun u know,gear up kardel with a butterfly and burizo,power treads neccesary and try 2 equip him with max. damage............then u go heeeeeeeeeho,he has an easy godlike commitment.
with sharpeye till level 5 upgrade second and third abilities,then an headshot.u should use ur headshot i.e only 4 a kill.be greedy and steal kills people.u go owning easily and sharpeye never starves 4 gold...

tjlatina it works so well with kardel i recommend 2 basher for kardel. I also recommend lothars for escaping or dagger, but i suggest you go for lothars coz it add agi and other stats. But if you can build skadi much better and if u have money try building linken coz it help u alot. Kardel is deadly if ur caught in low hp so try hunting those hero with low hp but be careful coz ur might be the one been hunt...

uh.... SnY? no comment. Basher is great for him, Headshot is more of a MKB stun to prevent casting.
not hard to kill roshan usin this hero, buy sentry ward, place between roshan and u, Assassinate, Scattershot, Assassinate, Assassinate, Scattershot, Assassinate, Assassinate and so forth. imagine if the ulti could be improved with aghanims

Only thing good about sniper is range+attack animation.

Kardel is easy to use, dont cross the river and u will be fine
this guy ultimate is insane fast cool down and strong damage
Hint: Observer wards help loads. If you don't want them to get destroyed, use Sentry wards because they are invisible.
Then you can spam assassinate from a really long range :P

Don't you think assassinate is imba? Just compare the cooldown with Laguna's cooldown

At level 25 he is 2500hp, +225 attack, and excellent as. His passive bash, slow attack, and long range make him own against many melee heroes.
Part of me agrees with proelite, but I would go straight for the divine rapier, the vuirass, or truesight (If they have invis heroes) as my 6th item. At that point nothing gets away.
no offense, but its always the n00bz who get divine rapier as there first or second item (boots) because they r so incredibly bad, they need to rely on the 250+ damage
I think one of the best items for Kardel is : Linken Sphere and - MKB, Yasha, Power Threads, Soul Booster
No need to ever get cuirass for agility heroes since they already have huge armor and dps. Nevermore however, could use it because the de-armor aura stacks with his for a whopping -9 armor.

BoT, Hyperstone, Butterfly, Basher (additional Basher, Hyperstones or Butterflys if you can afford). Passive Headshot will prevent them from closing in on you too fast. If the enemy gets BKB to be immune to the stuns... Your screwed (unless u buy lothars and wait for BKB to wear out).

Are you guys serious MBK on him. why? he already has 40% chance too stun this is wasted on him. Bashers are even worse choice 10% for bash for like $3500...lol. PLus your builds are too expensive guys your definatly not gonna get money for like, Buriza, MBK, EoS, Lothor, and BoT in one game especially now that the games are getting shorter.
i would like to say that Deso is the best orb for him, it gives more DPS than MBK for less price, and the -6 armour is much better for the team. Plus its cheap. Then butterfly to pump his DPS more and for the evasioin.
Mask of Madness make this hero a GOOD hero and tower killer
This build makes sniper a hit and run hero.
1. Boots -> 7. BOT
2. S&Y
3. Linken
4. EOS
5. Butterfly
6. Buriza
Build the items in that order. With S&Y and BOT, you have 424 move speed, faster than most of the heros. Hit them, and run if they come, and hit again. You'll be constantly out of their range, and faster than ALL other heroes because of your skadi, maim, and mini-bash. Works well in pubs and 1v1. Works well in early game because of the health from S&Y. S&Y + Linken + EOS gives you enough attack speed to wait for butterfly.

MKB is actually pretty good for him... u only want to increase his damage because its pretty shit early/mid game. with him being an agility hero, the 30% chance to score 100 damage is higher. i personally get him a MoM as well, not really interested in the lifesteal but more for frenzy. can knock someone down a lot of health without them gettin close and assasinate as a final hit thing
4 half a hour I build him 3xBashers , desolator and 2 huperstones = 32 kills 0 deads
bashers don't stack past 2...nice story anyway
Don't ever put MKB or bashers because his headshot ability overides each other. MKB overides headshot which overides bashers. Even if you get 4 butterfly and 2 bashers, you would still not get permabash since your headshot overrides. 6 butterfly would be permbash though. That's a awful build though.
MOM instead of S&Y is awesome too.
I don't agree about the MOM-Kardel is NOT a hero who can afford to take extra damage-he has pretty low hp

Unless you're ganked, mom-kardel can take down any hero one and one if kardel gets first hit. After that it's mini-bash, mini-bash...The enemy hero would looks like its lagging out or something.

with the stun that Headshot gives, with MoM Frenzy, melee heroes will have difficulty getting close and if they do get close, they would get constantly stunned and hav to restart the attack animation again.

Try Bloodstone on him-at 3rd level his ult needs 375 mana-you get it from the Bloodstone + 10 sec cooldown=heavy damage all the time; it also provides a decent hp regen
his so weak you know when his not get vaguard and he can beat two towels at the same times.......
im also a noob, but i always use power treads, then SnY, then butterfly w/ kardel, is it good enough?

you need a blink dagger in there, to prevent gankage. mkb is a necessity for this hero cos of the low damage. maelstrom works rather nicely too cos the range of the chain lightnin is great
with my build u dont need to waste a item spot on blink dagger.....last game i played i beat a stygwygr, pudge, and sa in a 1v3 gank and owned all b.c of super aspd which made my mini stuns own.....didnt even use ulti on any of them and i lived XD

= Pure damage and mini stun. It will look like enemy is lagging when they go for you.
Optional: Lothars, Heart, Sheep stick
Just wait for the war to be almost over then ambush!

blink dagger is kinda a necessary at early game. still works at late game, but its not necessary anymore, the high attack speed and ministuns that will stop anyones movement.
in the beginnin, u just gotta worry bout survival and farming, late just own.

And sure, hyperstone and skadi work well but you aren't going to only rely on those items, you need some damage and agility items too otherwise its not going to be enough to kill...then there's the problem of low health....

boots of travel, lothars, MKB, butterfly or Eye of skadi, dependin on which item u got first.
in the beginnin just rely on survival and farmin. of course, some people will get gem/wards to counter ur lothars, but unless they come from behind and hav fairly high ms, ur bound to escape cos lothars grants movement speed.

People confuse Kardel for a beginner's hero because of his 'so called' easy to use skills. Kardel like many other heroes in dota require a lot of timing.
I've seen many beginners use Kardel and just end up getting eaten up by other players.
He is a very weak hero in terms of health and his skills require a lot of practice - not something you can learn overnight.
I've never found a case where Skadi+Butterfly does not equal gg. Stats make Kardel almost another tower as far as armor and hit points, but his damage capacity far exceeds most every other hero with the right items.
for me don't stop hitting

Enuf to pawn like hell. Buy a blink dagger and blink into the trees and shoot heroes or creeps without them noticing you. It will be a gud advantage since ur range is very high.
I used to look first for Boots of Speed and flask only in the early game then at lvl 4 Hyperstone... Farm some money the Mithril Hammer and Gloves of Strenght to do one first Basher (of course raising lvlup on Headshot and Take aim first)... Next step for me is two more Mithril Hammers to do Stygian Desolator (-6 to the enemy armor is VERY GOOD and +60 damage of stygian +30 of the Basher are great for the mid game) then Boots of Travel, and the other two slots can be used depending the Hero that u are engaging maybe another basher or an Eye of Skady to keep distance, and always end game weapons are good enough (Buriza or butterfly) Kardel is a very usable hero and assassinate just r0x when enemys are falling back 8D

This guy's great and all, but too damn annoying. He can have a long attack range that towers cannot reach him. And he can attack your hero at a long range without you knowing it at first. But this guy's really great.
Well, all of your ideas are nice but i think the best items for kardel are: first buy the bracers, then buy boots of speed, then mask of death, then buy a quarter staff, then eaglehorn, then make a butterfly, after that, buy helm of iron will to make helm of dominator then go for the satanic with the reaver, after that buy a hyperstone so that you can farm easily, then buy 2 ultimate orb, and a vitality booster to make eye of skadi then make assault cuirass then, the boots of travel.. and if the game isn't finish, try making a divine rapier, with these you can kill heroes easily even without using skills with these items, you are unstoppable, you can easily kill roshan alone with your life still very high.. the only thing that can kill you is the fountain of health... but the only problem is, it's too expensive..

Beyond Godlike and 1st time i had ever used sniper. i got ganked alot so opt'd for a blood stone, and it helped with mana too. butterfly and buriza makes scattershot useless, i crit for 650ish.

take scatter shot 1st, buy a bottle then buy a flying courier with money, use ur scatter shot till u have no more mana then use the bottle, if the bottles empty let youre courier refill it for you, this is the ultimate way to get money..

I love eos on sniper gives u hp a little aspd armor damage and mana for scattershot
also for assassinate then then frost attack make u own try go behind the enemy
when he is pushing and just shoot he'll be dying cause it's hard to go back to base with ur frost if he's out of your range which is 770! assasinate by that time I think he'll be dead u need pt and butterfly to do this
