this is a VERY hard to play hero, because when face with pro.. a geam the the goblin cant do anything already....

hey, i'm a noob... juz asking... y not use suicide at lv 1? FIRST BLOOD...

using suicide at lvl 1 is risky
using it at lvl3 will confirm firstblood
and i think that hero isnt hard just dont let one see u and mine everywhere then see the fun

i hate suicide.... you are lvl 25 then use suicide to lvl 15 both of you are dead but look at the time before you are will be alive..... you 90sec enemy 40-50sec...

when i become lvl 11 i dont use suicide for killing anymore i only use it if i got GB or dying DUH........

I find techies quite easy to use, theres just the problem of armor and hp. If you calculate wrong, you've blown yerself up for nothing.
@ _noob28_ : why would you suicide at lvl25? 3 mines is better, not saying anything about 10...

Not to mention that if Techies gets lvl 25 and there are still guys who AREN'T lvl 25, well, they are stupid. Techies is a poor leveler.

this is a great hero a early godlike one!!!even level 7 can become a beyond godlike!!!

plant mines at the secret shop, they will piss off people because they cant buy the good stuff... lane lock with mines for free exp and gold by the creeps. u just need these items... lothars, heart, ring of basilius, power treads and anything that will increase armour if u wana run into the enemy base terrority, the shadow priests ulti with his hero is a great combo

i dominated with this hero this arvo. i always plant remote mines and stunner wards around me on the lanes. i farmed myself a soul booster, guinsoo, ring of basilius, dagon, perseverence (i forgetten which item u can use to upgrade with this), powertreads and even the parts for a butterfly. i was goin to replace the ring for radiance, but it was already gg by the time i got to lvl 20. not only that, my team was outnumbered by 2 and we still won . magina was always on my ass tryin to burn away my mana, but my remote mines got him. even if he did hav his wards to detonate my mines from a range

I swear I've never seen a better Techies than me Item build for Techies is Boots, then Guinsoo, then BoT, then Perseverence -> Linkens, then Skadi. Then two free slots. Y'know, Radiance or something, assuming the unlikely has happened and you've lasted that long with your Techies genius. The thing is when you rush Guinsoo (while they buy, say, Sange), you can go out with full mana and plant enough mines to demolish BRADWARDEN. Can't do that if you get... Dagon or Lothar or something. lol, my mana exceeded my health at one point. . go all mana, plant remote mines and statis traps at the secret shops. the hell with ur guide, im perfectly okay with my all mana strategy. besides, ur mines r invis so people r bound to get gem of true sight or wards so lothars dont do nothin. i hardly suicided too my kill to death count was like 7 to 3 in the end. always plant like 3 remote mines and a statis trap where ur farmin cos someones goin to gank u. get them to chase u to land mines and statis trap, suicide (if needed) and while they r retreating, detonate ur remote mines HAHAHA. guaranteed kill. u probably could kill roshan with that if he wasnt magic resistant and chased u for quite a bit :P

zz lol this hero is the most irritating hero i have ever seen -.- if u are really a pro i tell u use ur first skill(planting the mines) and then plant them at the enemy and ur own secret shop(in case they go to ur secret shop) 100% gurantee they die in early game! PLUS SUICIDE AT EARLY GAME LAH GET GOLD! btw dun suicide at late game where every1s life is high except u can eiter get a kill, double, triple or even 5kils XD i tried it once my fren use the black hole and lion ulty and rooft overgrowth and then furion ulty i suicide WOW! 5 kills but it say triple lol anywayz is a good heroXD

u should actually plant remote mines, cos they hav faster cooldown, feel the full damage and u can control them to wheneva they blow up... someone could lure a creep there and the creep gets killed by the landmines

You run up to your enemy cyclone them, place a land mine/stasis trap/remote mine. When they come down BAM STASIS/land mine/remote ALL EXPLODE then you doit again, cyclone, land mine/stasis trap. And after you do this about 3 times, you click on your refresher to get all ur cd back, and you should own them np. My good freind did this on a 5v5 ih against many people. Once they saw him they died.

The art of force suicide on techies use Soulkeeper, slithice, or Phantom lancer, make an illusion and u stay back and wait , send in the illusion and wait for the techies to make his move micro him as if it was ur hero but let him suicide the illusion there u just made him kill himself for no reason this can be done with a blink dagger but requires practice and timing, im a fan of using my illusions to purposely get caught in his stasis so he thinks its an easy target lol, if u suspect he put mines or stasis in an area like secret shop middle of lane or the river use an illusion to miine sweep for u send it in and have it take the nuke so u can shop in peace also wards and Gem of true sight counter him as well all in all u can counter him easilyi once fought a techies 1v1 who said he never had a game with under 10 kills he went 0-17 i was 8-1 using wards, gem, dagger, and manta style he is countered and cant do anything try one of my methods out

For a really nice laugh, place a cheap item - eg Ironwood Branch (with a mine right next to it)somewhere incongruous on the map. Then sit back and enjoy when an enemy hero comes cruising along : "OMG free itemz!".....BOOOM!!!!!

Funniest thing is plant mines on a cliff or in the bushes.... then get pudge 2 hook them into the mines, or vengfull 2 swap them in

this is my best team hero overall he still tanks high in second next to rhasta. my techies though relies on my buddy pudge who hooks them into mines for a fast kill and exp.

This hero shouldn't be allowed to use redemption.... Anyway, for everybody who said that suicide bomb spamming is a good idea, it may be fun, but not really such a good idea. Let me tell you a story:

First time I played, I chose goblin techies... cuz I

Right, also Goblins + Pudge in center lane = complete ownage, if done right.

Problem is that the techies have to be willing to repay Pudge for all that hard hooking work he does to drag foes into his bombacious minefields.

tinys a good ally too. plant bombs nearby, toss, avalanche, plant statis trap so they cant fall back, suicide. if Technies doesnt kill him, Tiny will and if Tiny cant, Technies mines will :D

I play Techies a lot and as such have experienced much with the hero. A predictable, yet ultimately frustrating problem for any Techies player is that one opponent who chooses to purchase a Gem of True Sight. Clearly you have only one option, and 'Shimmra_3' agress with me here, it is to gank this hero. However there are three inherent problems with this tactic/technique. Firstly if your team is struggling, irrespective of your situation, it makes it very difficult to actually kill the hero with the Gem. While you may be doing quite well it is impossible for a Techies player to kill say, an Anti-Mage or Bloodseeker one-on-one or with little support from poor allies. The second problem is that sometimes the opposition hero will be too good; they may just be beyond killing by even the best of your team. Finally show me one team that is willing to gank 1 hero with 3-5 of its members. i.e there are always 2-3 players who do not wish to risk their lives to help out the Techies. (Generally because they do not recognise how good we are). Even if only one of these factors are present it can nullify you and your effect on a game. As such Techies become a low damage and low Hp target.

I know this sounds like I may be criticising the Techies; I assure you I am not, I am in fact a huge fan. I am in fact wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how to effectively counter thie Gem of True Sight. A tactic which will work 9 times out of 10. Otherwise perhaps changes need to be made to the Techies.

A good counter to gem: don't rely on traps of mines.

Techies can lay stun traps behind pushes: even with a gem, they are still effective (slows their chasing, prevents back attacks). Techies can lay mines in the midst of battle and blow them immediately: effective at 600 dmg each. Techies can lay mines just outside the enemy base during a long push: Even w/ a gem, the mines are still there and acts as a highly defensive position for allies to hover on. Techies can lay remote mines around the lane where ganks most often come from, free observer wards (Only guy w/ gem sees em). Don't just put 15 remote mines in the middle lane river and sit back the rest of the game hoping for a triple kill.

Never ever underestimate the power of techies stun trap in the midst of a big battle. Its basically a Cronosphere -- and its got a 10 second cooldown.

Play offensively, not defensively. Mines @ your base's tower only works... once if your lucky.

I agree with rain9441. I enjoy playing Techies a lot and what really gets me are the gems. But if you just cannot kill the one hero with the gem, ignore him. Just get BoT and push push and push once more. If your about to die suicide and dely the exp. You are a pusher not a sit back and wait for kills kind of hero. A good techies can out push any hero. Mid game use proxy mine and remote mine to just blow the creep wave and late game 1 remote will do it. Just have to know where to place the mines to kill the creeps.

Statis Trap is good for countering Gem, even if they can see it, they need to be within attack range of it to destroy it (unless they are ranger). You should go around and plant Statis Trap on the river was well. Landmines are a farming item and you should be able to earn enough gold by the time your level 11 to get a decent build.

i find the land mines my favorite in the techies arsenal in rivers in rows of 5 to 6 mid 2 late game you get kills out of nowhere and also in common areas that the enemy performs ganks and then remote mine mid and the other lanes. seriously people dont think that the land mines are all that good but i use them more then any other mine in the game and i find techies a decent ganker amazingly get the cyclone stick throw them in the air and put a land mine it deals 600 damage and when they are in the air it helps your allies get ready for a kill. seriously people underestimate the power of techies in a gank.

Easy way to kill an idiot. Place any simple item on the ground in the midst of all your remote mines. Most likely, if its early//mid game, he'll go grab it and blow to bits. It's also funny as anything.

If they have necro, creeps, wards, gem, they can see it.

Techies is the best hero to counter almost all melee heroes especilly in a team play.
You can always kill anyone even not having a 1 on 1 battle. U can always plant mines to areas wer heros usually pass, put a lot of detonater in that area. Then kaboom! He oesnt need to lvl up as long as he would be able to reach lvl 16 it would be wiser to roam the map and plant bombs. Its nice to use him with guinsoo since ull never run out of mana. Try planting bombs on enemies blackmarket. awts whos stupid enough to cross dose traps.

Even having gems or wards. BUt with melee enemies. whose s2pid to destroy the traps.
Maybe they want to be drawn first blOOd!

Its really enjoying usin techies. Youll be shocked to learn that some idiot likewise got in to ur traps. How foolish isnt it killing someone by not having a brawl combat.

Goblin Techies is a n00b starting hero
im right though, most n00bz will rely on suicide so much to get kills, a pro player will hardly use suicide and know where to place the mines in the 3 lanes.
imagine if u were really fast, navigated ur way to between the two towers, planted a land mine, ur health will already be at half health becos he will unsuspectly walk into it becos he is tryin to creep block. lol, i so want to do that, but his movement speed is so slow! i could probably only do that if i get PT as my only item. but probably wont have enough health to fall back. oh wells, assuming that i also planted one mine on the river to farm, i will get suicide next and if enemy retreats, boom! first blood and instant blood >_

This thing is a great defender.
Just plant line of remote mines in zig zag manner along all the 3 paths
Plant multiple mines near the Entrance 2 ur base
engage enemy 4 some time
at right time set off the group of mines at a time.
There was once attack from scourge owning all sides
I took decision 2 blow every remote mine on the map about 16-20 of them
BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!
A hero kill -creeps annihilated!!!
And suddenly sentinels owning game with a clean victory

I am very disappointed -
NONE of the above strategy guides mentioned Bloodstone.
This is a MUST for technies.

I prefer a suicide and pusher/offensive technies.

Boots (upgrade to Power treads later)
Arcane Ring
Bloodstone (you can keep suiciding!!! )
Guinsoo or 2x Eulers

Those items should be enough to push.
Late game get linkens sphere and eye skadi.

Technies is an assistance hero - You are supposed to use him offensively (NOT defensively).
Use suicide/traps/mines to help your teammates push.

Also, I recommend putting mines/traps NOT in the main lanes - but in the farming lanes and rivers and exits.
Most people will suspect that technies only mines in the main lanes and will get wards - so it is pointless.
Place Mine/traps in the back lanes where most heroes hide to gank you.

Seriously technies is arguably the BEST hero in the game.
Most players just don't use him properly.

As one person mentioned above - Bloodstone (suicide) for the win.

You suicide when you're nearly dead. The heroes trying to kill you don't get money or EXP, and you MIGHT kill them if you're lucky.

You could use suicide for the sole reason of first blood... I would do that, you gain 200 extra gold + creeps.

man, this guy rocks, his mines deal way too much damage, and think about being surrounded by 5 melee heroes, and then suicide squad, you'll get quintrouple kill!! , if there is such a thing

this hero is unstoppable(unless dealin with a gem ewww) mass stun wards 5 sec stun, allies kill them for u

the only time i play this hero is when i get him from random

What about one playing techies and another one Axe. Axe use his Berserker call and centeres 2-3 enemy heroes, Beforehand, you have planted remotes there, or you can just suicide and let Axe get easy kills (important thing is that the suckers die) :)

UMM NOOBS plz do not even consider using this hero, it is just free exp when you die so just stfu and go away and play hello kitty island adventures and make out with black women

This hero is tricky to play in early game. Low HP, Low Attack Damage, Low Armour, Low regeneration of mana. Once your enemy has got Gem of True sight, Techies has become useless, cept for using Landmines to defend against creeps and massing Statis Trap so they can't be destroyed too easily (and also to prevent enemies from falling back, they dont hav the time to destroy the ward if being pursued) and suiciding.

Techies isnt useless if u hav the following people for allies though Pudge(Hook, boom boom boom boom)
Axe(Berserkers Call plus also if you enemy is an idiot)
Tiny(Toss, into the mines)
Vengeful Spirit (Swap, they have to go through the mines or take a detour, possibly more mines in detour as well :D)

Well smart technies players will STOP buying mana items. And make damage/battle items.

i use techies 4 attacking...i ensure 1st blood(suicide) then buy euls and skadi plus dagon 4 the kill...what u do is fly the enemy plant a stasis trap and mines and the other mines(if ur fast) and viola!

lol techies for battle. just farm and farm and farm once sentry wards and gems r bought.
it gets too expensive from switchin from one build to anotha cos of half price.

Definately a strong hero. Good combo. I only use suicide when your gonna die, or when there are alot of enemy heroes with life below 1250. Buy buriza. It might give crit to suicide skill. If you can't beat them, go down with them.

ultimate support hero good with lothar's edge can stop a complete push and the tide of battle

we can say that techies is the best hero in terms of defense... in pushing he's also great because if you dont mind him planting those mines near your towers, he's gonna break all three on your lanes before you can push the towers he's defending

Phantom lancer is the one with clones, Phantom assassin is the one with the ulti Coup De Grace.

I have yet to see a battle techies, I always buy gem of true sight against this hero, but the other techies continues plantin his wards.

A had a long time not playing with this one, but yesterday i got it by random, He didnt make even half the damage he used to do, suicide squad lv3 has 1150 dmg but when i use it only make like 600 dmg, the land mines are useless just got a gem of true sight, i agree they had to be nerfed but now they look useles. when did this happened?? 6.48?

suicide is determined by distance, u were probably far away from the target when u suicided.

according to my knowledge, nothin has changed cept the remote mines icon.

nope, it was a clean shot, no creeps or heros around and the enemy hero didnt even move cuz he was stuned, nothing special about the items he had

step 2: plant land mine, stasis, and remote mine, upon landing use....
step 3: orchid of malevolence
step 4: dagoon and detonate remote mine
step 5: refresher
Step 6: repeat step 1-4 stop till hero death of course.
step 7: destroy gem
step 8: dagger out for safety
step 9:TP

ONLY A PRO PLAYER CAN USE GOBLIN TECHIES

i love techies and i use it every game

but techies has a few weakness...

1) he is only good in supporting but not helping to win the game...

2) he is easily killed...

3) he is only good at early game...

4) he has the lowest stats compare to all hero

5) he is easily antied...

but there are a lot of good things in him...

come to think of this... the 1st skill that has 12 sec cooldown( 4th level) has 600 dmg... and u can put anywhere...

the second skill is not so useful but it can help too if someone is chasing u trigged this u can run! its the longest stun skill in the whole game...

the third skill is has multiple uses
a) to kill
b) to not let ppl kill u
to help ur partner when he/she is in trouble...
and if u use it on creeps which is dumb u can get money and exp while help to push...

the ulti is best! put these anywhere and detonate when hero passes by! put 3 of these is enuff and it got no limits and last 8 minutes! good for killing and defending haha...

Head just to the right or left of the middle river so that no creeps can interfere and plant 3 mines, 4 b4 creep wave. Spam pots. So then when hero before level 3 in mid or 2....(Double Kill) Vacumm them in dealing damage with his spell and techies mines. First blood tell if this does not work trust me it will. (p.s, have a mate be one of the 2. it makes it easier..)

in my opinion all i think techies really needs is a bunch of void stones

i usually get boots of travel, soulbooster, 4 void stones.

obviuosly this a very cheap build

but with all the extra money i make from farming i buy items for teammates

this hero is good in start but later in the game he is a very bad hero. U cant get many kills in start too. Idea of planting mines at shops would maybe give u just a kill because then ur all enemies will know that u r planting mines at shops.
I think his first move is his ulti really. his own ulti sucks. When anyone comes near to ur mines of course u would like to trigger and blast. Thats what his first move do. However overall this hero sucks.

I just love these two, they can be tricky to play but I really enjoy being a defender in pretty much any team based game so this hero is a god-send, so to speak. Plus I think they are easily the funniest hero out there.

Techies TIPS

Techies is a good hero when teamed up with PUDGE, DARK SEER, VENGEFULL SPIRIT or RAIJIN. These heros can bring ennemies into mines.

Good players wont fell for techies traps and will go on pushing forgetting about taking control of river.

BEST ITEMS:

PLENTY VOID STONES
TRAVELER BOOTS

Techies appart from being annoying isnt quite a treath to pros. The best thing to do is to feed ur teammates with items.

Also, techies is quite usefull when pushing. You can create 'Sanctuaries' that you and ur allies can use to protect themselves when pushing. For exemple when pushing mid and reaching secon tower, putting a lot of mines just aside the line can protect u and your friends from dying.

Can someone please tell me how to use Techies' Stasis Trap ability. Sometimes it goes off like right away, and other times it will be set for like 3 minutes and a hero will walk into and out of the field without it detonating.

gem of true sight isnt necessarily the best counter for techies. if ur a pro techies, u place mines in gank spots and fog of war spots, where u gotta be standing on it to see it.

@ red eagle, stasis mines required the enemy to actually collide with the mine itself to set it off, just walking in the stun zone wont set it off. This is why its best to place it in the only path you can take to get to say your mines and just before them as there is about a 3/4 second delay and the hero might run over your mines (bad if remote) if you place it on them. hope that helps

Dota 6.52 Early game you will be great if you know where to plant mines. Recommended that u sucide at lvl 3 for FB. Plant mines at spots you think heroes will run into when some1 is chasing them back so like the 2 elbows of mid where it junctions off into river. Mines are gonna be your best weaps for ez kills until really lvl 11 then they start having to much hp and that turns to be a problem. In that case

pity he's absolutely useless against a ranged hero with a gem... Quite dud, really. or furion for example. All he needs to do are to use his treants to hunt down your mines etc.

The best to do whit heroes who bouth the gem of boring is put ur mines at the edge of the cliffs... for exemple... the mid path, you just put remote mines on the end of the cliff so the fog will cover them... and when the hero step aside the mines... Well the important is know the Sadic Goblin its not a Match heroe like SK or a chaser like Broodmom but he is a Fantastic support and casual killing heroe... i love put remote mine at roshan ass... so if u have enough mines u kill him whitout losing hp... or for otherwise if a enemy hero try to kill him before you have enough mines... you just wait him do enough damage and kill roshan and the heroe

A good item for these heroe is... can look crazy but its not... Int threads, bracer, bracer... so keep some money and after some suicides you can make a septer to him... belive me... its good... remember the key of this hero is have a BIG amount of mana... but whit some hp to you dont get suicided all time that you get hited by a stg hero... so you must considere do 2 septers to him... then for late late ! game you can buy that axe who turns invisible ( forgot ) LUCKY !!

heres a cheap plan go mid and hide behind the trees if sentential go up the hill near there tower if scourge go behind trees right of there tower also if scourge you can run through those trees and hit tower with mine then run back and leave suecied n auto in case some one walks by you kill self and you are safe.cheap but effective if youe sents learn suecied first and tell your friend to harrass a hero then run out and kill them easy irst blood. also loathers is a must for a kamakazi techie duh

This heros suicide, + dazzle ulti is good. You rasvive very fast, and your up and ready!

Well this hero are more like ambush stile,cannot go direct attack,no avantage of killing him cuz u will mostly lose a big amount of hp or even die.This hero only need HP and speed equips.The most suxx 1 on 1 hero.No problem to own him with STR or HP hero.

hey a good idea is about 30-40 minutes into game plant like 6 or 7 remote mines at rosh and u can get up 2 5 kills but u have to place them in between melee and ranged heros so u can get both of them its a great strat to know when ther roshing and to get tons of kills they will think twice before doing that again =P

no best build ever and planting mines getting all those creep kills ull have these items probaly 40 minutes intogame this guys is the best farming/creep killer in the game even better then axe
start with one of those things with +3 to stats and +6 to intel and a couple clarity pots then get
arcane ring
bloddstone
shivas
gunsioos
BoTs
and maybe something with damage cause techs does shit in just atking like maybe a MKB or maybe a AC ull have around 30-40 with AC and Shivas btw later game when u notice ur mana regen no longer needs an arcane ring sell it for damage or more intel like a dagon this guy rocks at farming even early game

btw 30-40 armor and ive been playing him alot lately and hes almost my new fav hero except lycan of course but even if ppl get wards or gem u can still get rid of those just buy wards to counter the wards if they get a gem depending on the latness of the game ask one of ur friends to pick up the gem when u suicide or tell them to kill them if they can if not u can usally kill ppl even if they have gem simply put a bunch of mines in the woods make them folo u by the time they realize all the mines u can denonate them to kill them also u can be very cheap if u want to late game just plant like 6 or 5 remote mines middle just outside of the tower range then when the creeps spawn just click on 1 and detonate killing the entire wave of creeps allowing ur creeps to go right to the tower and continue to do it for X amount of waves =) with this method i got beyond godlike and (eventho it cant say it) got a quadruple kill when they were all in ur base then we psuh when they wer all dead and push mid to end game =)

hmm think about it hehe u could dish out a total of 12600 damage every minute and 20 seconds i would say cheapest hero and with my build ull never ever have to worry about running out of mana even if u used stasis, land mines, and remote mines as fast as possible its and endless supply of stasis, land mines, and remote mines except with land mines u can only have up to 15 and best thing is stasis is the longest stun in the game next to perma stun

the only time u should ever suicide is begining to get first blood and bonus gold and not to be killed to give up money u dont lose money for killing ur self and ur opponent doesn get money idk about exp but still

a very good tactic is
1. when you are playing without -np, surround the powerup with mines... BOOM!
2. leave an item or flying courier with items and surround also with mines...BOOM 2x

suicide use only when u lvl 1-10 or 11,
after that, start planting mines at somewhere an enemy hero will go. One more place that u can put, is near the rune. It can act like your sentry ward. And also boom enemy that is trying to take the rune

From my experience, suicide is just not the way to go other than for dks/fbs or to prevent dying.

Get to 6 asap to start laying down some detonaters, and work on orchid as well

Hm I don't know if I'm wrong or most of the people here are wrong.
I mean I don't use suicide and I don't play with it like the most people and I don't think gem is countering him. You have many highgrounds for the mines after gem or like me you can mine on place. I mean "oh they are coming..." 1-2 land mines for incoming creeps. And you can succeed in late game by using "posts" strategy. I called it like this and i like using it. Exactly it's a lot of mines at place that you use only when you

are running. You are safe in the most of the cases and if your opponent don't have gem he is dead. The posts should be near the paths but not too near. That you can run fast there and avoid detecting by eyes. When the enemy approaches you, run and when he is in the range of the "post" turn round and begin hitting or placing more mines (one post must have at least one statist trap). You can place "posts" fast letting you to defend yourself in the late game and avoid eyes or killing "no gem"

enemies. And with that strategy if you can't do masses of mine on battlefield ( caused of eyes or gems) you can use "mine at place". Placing ultimate from far and activating it immediately to kill creeps and harm little heroes, using statist trap right before battle and land mines to destroy buildings. Along with the "posts" you can win without be killed and too without killing your enemies.

In this build I stake on endless mana in the most time for masses of mines and late game maybe dmg for finishing you opponents. The most of you may not like my strategy but I haven't lost game with it. Maybe I haven't meet real pros I don't know but if play correctly my enemies are powerless. (Haven't tried in 1v1 I never play it all depends in heroes not in skills )
So if you try it and like it that means I helped someone and it's good

I do like the sobi mask to orchid combo. most techies i see get useless after level 11 cause people get wise to their schemes and in pushes, they usually just want to plant mines or something dumb. getting an orchid or guinsoo + stasis makes you a great ally. it shouldn't be a 4 v 5 game, like it is with most techies, but a game with techies as a disabler late game. he has such untapped potential. people should practice before using him in pro games. obviously.....

This hero is just pure ownage!!!Many people thinks its weak but realy its one of best!Many people thinks sucidie is needed.Personaly i use it only in case of danger or if i can do triple kill or more.Read the guide from shimrra i found it quite nice
