One of my favourite heroes in dota

dude strategy can't be always same..
buy goods depends on enemy's hero

Heres a more realistic strategy SnY, Buriza, Treads, Dbl Bashers, then if you can butterfly

trust me with the treads with his aura he already moves like a beast but the 35% attack speed would go great with frenzy bashers r good and buriza is always nice trust me on this

his storm seeker is a passive skill right? does it automatically? if it is, cool

what a good ulti. id just rely on my movement speed, evasiveness and armour/health. harass people and id hav lothars with bashers.

hmm bashers is not too good for him in my opinion. I would rather go for attack speed increasing items and one heart of tarrasque to regenerate HP like mad. MY item build for him is Treads,Mjollnir, HoT then the rest is up to the game's situation.

actually his ulti is kinda stupid considering that he is a ranged hero and that anything thats too close to him for the ulti to work might jus kill him before " the few secounds"
and even if u get the ulti to work alrite its actually very weak for a "ulti " move
his other abilities are alrite but he moves kinda slow which means money ios wasted to upgrade his movement there fore his damage , which also needs the upgrade cannot get it

are you sure Erosion? his aura makes him a blazing fast hero and if you can place Razor correctly, his ulti will hit the enemy and creeps without putting himself in danger. and as i said before hes is FAST so you should be able to run (or float in his case) like the wind at the first sign of trouble

@ erosion, his ulti is not stupid...it is unique and helps u farm rather well especially when you also have radiance.His ulti can also kill fleeing heroes with very low life just as long as you chase.

okay speakin of his ulti which is better his ulti or the ulti of death prophet?

well Death Prophets ulti is much stronger no question about it but Razors is passive and helps farm and chase heros. it rly depends on what u want, i like razors simply bcuz he is my fav hero

BoT, mjollnir (nice, electric shield), soul booster (change to guinsoo if u wana), arcane ring and buriza. u might wana get kelens dagger to quickly blink to an enemy and ur ulti should take care of the rest.

Even just Radiance combo with his Storm seeker u can be good farmer..u can buy all ur other needed stuffs

@newbie: S&Y is a better choice when it comes down to the 2 choices you mentioned earlier. But I only prefer Mjollnir as an orb effect cos not only does t gives you higher aspd, it also gives you a pretty decent cain lightning which is very good for farming.

get a radiance for him and he would be a farming god!!! i'd prefer mjollnir > sny just because mjollnir give pure agi boost whereas sny give too little of everything.

chain lightnin makes him a great farmer, increased mana pool means more farmin, plus now that the soul booster has anotha use in the new recipes, he will benefit from it loads

chain lightnin is good to harrass multiple heroes too.

This is the best build for Razor...i guarantee you! sue me if im wrong..

These is what i use and man! sure ownage! i even had a double kill when Zeus and Barathrum attacked me.

(Razor is a good farmer so its really easy to earn gold esp. with his chain lightning).

i think ur lyin, zeus can beat lightnin revenant if played well cos zeus is a hero slayer, razor faster lvler/farmer. if both hav the same build as above, zeus would win cos hes got faster cooldowns.

It's killer when use sange and yasha and creeper if use mjolnir. Right?

no, im not lying. when barathrum was attacking my tower i backstabbed him, then zeus came and attacked me when barathrum's health was super low.
i activated mjolinir, and with the help of radiance..i killed the lord of olympus.
zeus is strong but i dont like using him, hes kinda soft.

duh...lupeman. ofcourse zeus had a different build when i killed him. why would my opponent copy my build.

no need for null's

use diffusal on him with assault cuirass its quite good and MoM is risky when stacked with frenzy because of the damage taken but u can dish it out pretty quick and ull be burning mana with every hit and u should defs keep it at diffusal so u slow them down for storm seeker to hit them ultimate attack speed hero

why basher? hes a ranger and he gets less chance of bash then.

For me:

Buriza - Add frenzy and there ou go!!

Vanguard - Razor has low hp so he needs defence

HoT - Addition to hit points

Hyperstone - Addition to crit

MKB - Additional damage and attck speed

The Butterfly - evasion and speed

It's all about speed when it comes to razor.

I was just thinking but the bashers they only give 10% chance for a 1.1 sec stun right but if u get 2 and ur hitting so fast with razor and plus u have at least a movement speed of 400 ur stunning them and there is nothing they can do its almost a guaranteed kill if they are running from u if u think about it tell me what yall think

okay, I feel that this is a really good item build...Power treads,Mjollnir,Lothars,Buriza and a Heart/Linkens...This item build i possible as the Mjollnir can give you alot of GOLD...and there is no need for razor to get basher...it's really useless...his aspd is fast enough and he can just give the chase as he is fast too.

Buriza would be a good aditional to Razor...I think Mjoulnear is a great item for Razor as it will unleash ChainLightning...A Melee Won't stand a chance...IMO that is..Mekanism is not needed if you have Tarasque or Aegis...

first buy boots of speed then power threads....after that buy 2xwraith band... if u have enough money buy diffusal blade to catch up with the opponent because razor dont' have stunning skills or slow skills.. use diffusal blade to purge him..

basher is not right for him because he is not a melee attacker... it only have 10% bash..you should buy buriza do kyanon than basher..

I think you should buy Ring of Basilus, Boots of Speed or Power Threads if you have money and Ring of Regeneration...that would be a good starter items...then buy Perseverance nex...after that save up money to buy Maelstorm...then buy what you think is good nex...Heart,SnY,Butterfly,Aegis,Buriza,Linkin,Divine Rapier..etc

^quite good build, its offensive and becos razor is a mid game hero and completely sucks at late game, he can be defensive.

Razor DOES NOT SUCK LATE GAME. He can get pretty Imba with this build:

-Treads
-Mjolnir
-Radiance
-Cuirass
-Buriza
-Heart/linkens

no, he really really does suck at late game. low hp, weak ulti, skills make him a farming/multiple killin low hp hero, but thats bout it. Late game hes HORRIBLE!

Don't ever get treads for heroes unless you are going to use S&Y or if the heroes has passive speed boost. Razor and agility heroes don't need the speed boost of treads. Get him BOT, as Razor's attack speed is already so huge.

wen ur chasing a hero with rly low hp is it better to go along with the hero without attacking him and letting the ult do the work or is it better to just chase and attack?

chase and attack ofc. His ulti activates only once in a few sec and it does 120 dmg which is lower dmg than one your strike and if you have mjollnir (and luck :P) u can release 200 dmg chain which is more effective than just chasing. Your Unholy Fervor will give u enough ms for staying in range for your ulti even if you attack him(with BoT).

LOL razor sucks in late game - OFC he Doesn't sucks. YES he does have little hp, and his ulti is weak in late game BUT he has IMBA attack speed IMBA chain lightning proc rate... For WTF he needs high hp??With 30 % evasion, 70% dmg reduction(Cuirass 15armor +10 armor form butterfly and Mjollnir),hood (if they have int nukers)and with static charge with about 2000 hp, he is harder to kill than centaur with 3 HOTs!! and his purpose is not to tank it is to stay behind and nuke them all!!!

if u get centuar the same items, centuar is even more untouchable. who would attack the tank if theres high damagin nukes hiding behind them. smart DotA players will kill the low hp, high dps heroes first then the tanks.
FYI, centuar does benefit from HoT but its not needed for him. hes tank without any items so focus more on damage and attack speed (i do realise that HoT gives +35 damage, but there are items which deal massive damage and give bonus to stats)

I am not saying that someone should first attack centaur with 3 HOTs, i am saying that razor with those items in my previous post is harder to kill than centaur with 3 HOTs and I said that in order to prove that low hp doesn't mean you are easy to kill .
And centaur doesn't need anything for damage accept battlefury(mostly because of farming).
Read the post carefully next time lupeman.

I was playing 1 vs 1 using razor. All of us already knows what build we should use for razor but really it depends on who ur opponent is. My enemy was sand king and he kills me early game using burrow epicenter combo. Because razor doesn't have disables/stuns skill to cancel the channeling of epicenter, I couldn't kill him. What I did was I stacked 3 blademills and one dagger, power threads and buryza. Whenever he burrow strikes me then combo with epicenter, I just blink to the side. After the pulses of epicenter, I strike him until he fless to death. Sometimes you need to outwit your opponent not by your damaging skills but by countering his skills.. Blademills hurts him a lot whenever he fights me face to face, combined with critical strike of buriza... OUCH!!! he's a dead meat. I just dropped one blademill for radiance and the game ended favoring my side.

do increased speed attack items also increase razor's frenzy speed aswell? or is his frenzy a set speed all game no matter what items you have?

He's The Storngest Herofor 1vs1 In The Late Game With This Item Build Because Mjollnir And Eye Of Skady STACK TOGETHER !!!

i started off buying Ogre Axe in 3-3 game. This boosts huge hp. Then farm to get Sange. By this point, my hp is around 1000 around at lvl6, which is hard to pawn me for every hero. To make it short, i farm to get:

Butterfly
Boots of speed, then BoT
HoT
Burriza
HoT
By this point, its probably late game. For this built, you can pawn every head in 5 seconds.

I chose Sange&Yasha over Mjollnir, because SnY maim your opponent 10%. When late game, you approach your enemy, use first spell, 100% IAS, start attacking your opponent. 9 out of 10, i guarantee in 5 sec, most INT and AGI hero will die wit the aid of Buriza 20% 2.2Critical, SnY 10% chance to maim or slow MS, and ur attack should be around 250dmg.

This built works well against tiny wit 2500hp and a dagger of escape. att him, and chase him wit ur BoT + 10%MS of SnY + 10%MS of third spell.

i pawned Silencer's head for 6 times, Zeus 3 times, and Tiny 4 times.

BOT+S&Y on this guy gives him 471 move speed lol. Imba total.

hey you guys say to buy this and that.. but to buy even one of those items you need about 6k gold. so to buy them all we wont have time rite.... there is a problem with my hamachi so i cant play with human players only with computers.. and in that my two friendly heroes get there ass kicked quick so i have to finish the game quick or the enemy will destory me quick. so i cant make much gold.

hi.. i am new to dota.. i really like playing with Rozor because its easy to farm. I tend to buy SnY first because it helps to increase my hit points and survive longer in front of much better players.

What item should I buy after SnY ?

Razor rulez when you're playing 1 on 5. Recently, me and my fren played against 5 insane computers, i took sand king and my fren took razor. We pawned the whole game. My friend had 32 kills and i had 23 kills. See how good razor is? And his ulti is not lame, erosion. you most probally don't know how to use him. Mjollnir is a must with Razor for me.

was in pro game recently and lasted 80 minutes. the razor on my team tanked up so much that he couldnt be killed, even afta being ambushed by 5 people. his finished item build was PT, linkens, buriza, butterfly, mjollnir and demon edge. was dealing 450 damage and chance to score critical and static charge.

This is hands down the best build for him. No ARGUMENT!

1. ROR with your unholy fevor, you never would have to go to heal early game.
2. 2 waith bands= +12 attack and +12% attack speed, + 114 hitpoints, + 1.7 armor + 102 mana is very useful early game.
3. Boots of speed. Don't get Powertreads, ever, I'll explain why.
4. Mjolnir- Core item. However, if you want EVEN more movespeed, then get S&Y. Razor with s&Y, BOT, and Unholy fever has a 472 movespeed. Only choas knight, balanar, and blinkers can out run you.
However, 429 is good enough and i suggest Mjolnir in most cases since S&Y and Moljnir don't stack.
5. Linken, the regen, attributes and much needed.
6. EOS. Both S&Y and Mjolnir stacks individually with EOS. The slow and the attributes are VERY NICE. Slow means no hero, not even Balanar or Banehallow can outrun you.
7. Buriza. With you high attack speed, this is mandatory.
8. Butterfly. Now it's like OMG IT'S RAZOR RUN!
Final items should be
1. BOT
2. Mjolnir/S&Y Pick one. I tend to pick S&Y when it's 1v1 or 2v2.
3. EOS
4. Linken
5. Butterfly
6. Buriza

No need for HOT when you have linken + EOS. Expensive build but razor is a farmer anyways. Any one feel free to challenge me.

For all you peeps who likes radiance on Razor. It's a waste of money since radiance has pitiful AOE damage. Your mjolnir is already an AOE that does like 200 damage per sec. Get attack speed items to make this trigger 1/sec.

i was getting ganked left and right and i still had the money for this build. went 0-3 then went beyond godlike to end at 23-3.

only problem with my above build is that late game you end up having to many ownage items so you have to set some build items on chicken or in fountain for a bit until you can complete them.

frenzy becomes pointless late game.

haha, its DOUBLE ur regular attack speed... DOUBLE! not 100% as in the agility u wouldve gained from 100 stats, which actually is still pretty high. if uve got a divine rapier, u would be dealing so much damage in so little time.

the ulti is mainly used for chasin and farmin within actually having to do anything cept watch and last hit. mjollnir cant be used if u need to last hit the enemy hero. Radiance and Storm seeker will last hit for u, u just got to stay within that range though.

btw, the ulti has a 0.01 stun when leveled, meanin it can cancel casting spells. drew should update that.

lightning revenant can be a killer machine if it has a:
1.power treads
2.heart of tarrasqeu
3.mjolnir
4.butterfly
5.assault cuirrass

funniest thing i ever saw with razor.
i get divine rapier and assault curraiss.
then i activate frenzy and get blood thirsted.
razor's attack just became a solit lightning bolt that never stopped that was dealing (with my mkb) somewhere around 400 dmg a hit which was like 2k dmg a second.

i think razor's only lack as a great attacker is a final heavy damage spell.............. my item build wid dis guy is real good, give it mind

This hero is my most favourite hero

If 1 vs 1... 1st start of with a boots of speed, then go for a Mithril hammer n a boots of elven skin. Next go for a maelstorm n a power treads. Then go farming for enough money to buy butterfly.
This hero is now hard to fight. Lastly, it should be easy to get a MKB n a Assault. Now this hero OWNS

Hehe I forgot to add Yasha!!! After u got Maelstorm, get a Yasha. Then before u buy the butterfly, upgrage maelstorm to mjollnir. Sry about that, i forgot about this...

Razor pwns... Its noob friendly and ownage when used by pros. Once its got butterfly..

I love the Storm Seeker but not the hero

there are many builds for this hero. The orb effect you choose will affect the rest of the items in your build.
Most common being Mjollnir orb build.
I've seen many SnY with radiance builds
plus even a manta style with MKb or satanic etc. But ive never seen a desolator or skadi build before hahaha

Then... What does his ulti do? Hmm..120 damage..enemies...500 AOE..Savage lightning bolts...And then you git the Chain lightning skill of his, jumps nine times. Combine with a Mjolnir. Oh my, yeah, I've really having a hard time figuring why Razor isn't a area damage hero :)

Mjollnir has free chain and a Forked lighning and Good for Agi and with Razor's third skill he will have a tremendous MS for his storm seeker.

Razor is actually one of the all-time favorites in dota. It is very easy to use, fits well also for both mid game and end game.. And also, he farms almost faster than any other hero in dota. This guy is awesome!!!!!

Mjollner is the BESt orb for this dude. with insane attack speed it activates so often its scary!

To: dare.2.vil...One of the invincible heroes in the late game setting... With the items uve said, he really kill anyone. Dont worry, Jarakhal can kill him... or moonfang with the complete item. Faceless void can also do the work...If you use the 2 melee to defeat him, make sure he doesn't have 2 blademails... you will kill yourself instead. Just try moonfang, she'll do the rest^^

personally, i feel radiance is the ULTIMATE item for him.....combined with storm seeker, he is a farming GOD!! afterwards, u can go on to make a butterfly, a n mkb or a buriza and maybe even 1 or 2 HoTs!!! but make sure to make PT or BoT for him first! :P

Why in the WORLD would you get a 5.3k gold item to help an already good farmer farm better? That makes no sense.

Radiance is a complete waste. After Mjollnir and Butterfly, his DPS is high enough to kill any hero in less than 10 seconds using Frenzy.

After Treads, Mjoll and Bfly you should be beefing his defence instead. HoT or Link's, depending on your opponents.

i think he is the best pusher type hero in the game, when he is equipped with Mjollnir and Butterfly already. Also, I don't think 2 bashers are good for this hero. You're better of with MKB and Buriza.

As in mid game razor starts to hit quite hard (+60rad/+60sty), stygyan helps up...but is this really good? As Razor can't lifesteal with this item build, he gets life powered up only in late game...

Advices avyone?

cheapest item build for razor to get kills. Mask of Madness, Javalin. thats all u need. (this only works when everyone is around lvl 10).
activate lvl 4 frenzy, mask of madness, spam lvl 4 chain lightning. it sounds crap, but its an uncommon strategy that no one ever expects to happen. thats why it can get lots of early kills.

omfg first item to get is Radiance..than BoT, Satanic, Butterfly, Buriza/MkB, hot

Sange and Yasha - for killing

note: to earn more gold, have first the Mjollnir, then replace it with a Sange and Yasha because these two are both orb effects.

No need to increase his damage, just concentrate with his attack speed and movement speed...Sure it will be a hero killer...
