Krobelus - The Death Prophet

I think, many people dont like using Krobelus - The Death Prophet, because we dont know WHAT IS THE EXACT DAMAGE of her ultimate!!! "Exorcism (X) Unleashes evil spirits to attack your enemies. Level 1 - Summons 5 evil spirits..." OK, but what is the damage of 1 evil spirit??? LOL, its funny... However, I think this ultimate has got one of the most spectacular animation in DOTA!

When somebody maybe know, WHAT IS THE DAMAGE OF HER ULTIMATE, tell me please!!!

Well, each spirit deals damage equal to Krobelus' base damage =)

u know what sucks about ur ulti though? if ur fleein and an enemy hero is chasin u, her spirits flee instead of attackn... i might be wrong though cos i dont pay close attention to detail

It doesn't flee bro...

If your enemy has creeps some spirits will atack the creeps instead of your target...

From what I observed, when Krobelus flee, so is her evil spirits, but if Krobelus moves too fast and her evil spirits can't catch her pace anymore or if she teleports somewhere, they just stay there attacking any enemy they see until the skill duration times out and they just merge in one spot forming a ball of light much similar to Harbinger's Astral Imprisonment. Krobelus won't benefit from the healing factor that her evil spirits could bring after Exorcism if she is not around.

is her witchcraft accurate?when i was lvl 2O something i remember having 23 spirits but it says adds 4 and the skill says 16=20 so who is right

^no, cyclone makes the target invunerable. the spirits flee with u if u flee as well which sucks.

Exorcism: Spirits deal 43 - 48 hero type damage
They move around randomly, and attack the target Krobelus is attacking. They deal damage whenever they get near the target. If disabled., the spirits will attack the target Krobelus was attacking prior to getting disabled.

when the spirits return to krobe do they heal her??i think they do...not sure though....even if she flees or even if she is trapped in chronosphere the spirits will hit the opponent.krobe ftw!

This hero is woeful.

i do think this krobelus is a little under-rated..man first blood is usually hers and wif her ulti towers go down really fast..nt to mention her role in team battles is also very important(silence)

honestly, this hero can own if you are highly dedicated to this hero. u gotta deny hard and farm hard

If you cant get skadi then hard to 1v1 because you be low life and low attack.
Hard to kill in mid game if your enemy is stunner. Farm and farm, run and run then late game kill.

Ok for pushing, good for destorying tower, and best at raxing!

Early Game:
Sobi Mask, Tango, (Bracer parts)

Mid Game:
VANGUARD!
Boots of Speed
Ring of Basilius
(finish Bracer)
Perseverence

Late Game:
Upgrade to Boots of Travel

Unless your team is unbalanced, you're not a ganker or disabler. Play to your strength as a push hero and group fighter. Exorcism is one of the most powerful pushing spells and your weak health/armor makes you target #1. By focusing on surviability you become a huge force to be reckoned with.

Early game deny like crazy and hope to get the creeps by your tower. Silence to avoid ganks. Harass with attacks and/or Swarm. If lots of enemy creeps get near your tower, Swarm. No need to spam swarm to farm as pushing early sets you up to get ganked.

Just got 5-0 at level 8 with her, Carrion Swarm ftw...

Trust me vangaurd is a key item for this hero, although sumtimes i liek to get her a lothars, so i can be invis when ultied X]
But seriously, Vanguard, Mech, BoT are key items for me, Try get a heart and some armour also, :)

Nice hero indeed, I got Guinsoo and BoT for the start, you can't use spells becuz silence/guinsoo's hex and the ultimate hits all the time. Then got Hood of Defiance for some regenation and 30% spell reduction if they get out of hex/silence and start nuke. Then EoS and ftw!...you cannot do anything/escape the ultimate + krobelus carrion swarm and her own damage gets hp down ridiculously fast. Last two I could get, Bloodstone, Linken's (reg and hp + spell immune for some time) When the game ended had 11-3. GG pwning.

the exorsism does a range of damage(referance from different dota site)
depending on her base damage does 25% of her base damage maximum

so if he hits 10 damage max
the spirits will deal 2.5 damage per spirit that they attack!

Best pusher! but refresher and soul booster!

For me I aim for:
Boots of Travel
Guinsoo's Scythe of Vyse
Radiance
Shiva's Guard

For the last two items I switch depending on the game.

Usually I go for Radiance quickly so her ultimate becomes even more damaging. Other AOE holding heros usually makes her very scary. So far to me Engima is her best friend in crime. Blackhole with Exorcism and added Radiance, we murdered nearly 4 heroes at once (killed 3 but one got lucky). It costs money for this build but I usually farm fine very well.

at lvl 13 (depending on ur skill build so mine is 8) carrion swarm has a 5 sec cooldown!
a 300 nuke for a little over 100 mana every 5 secs!!

this is a very cool hero... i was playing ages ago... i got 3ple kill by running away... hahaha

Do not underistimate this bitch. When im using this hero i always find that the enemy changes lane or hugging a tower. Spam ur carrion swarm non stop. Buy BoT and arcane ring. Then bloodstone and scepter. And lastly orchid. Spam cswarm until ur out of mana. If the enemy is a tanker and manage to solo u, dont run away, spam cswarm, silence, orchid, ulti and cswarm. Over g.g. If they manage to gank u buy manta. It sounds a little bit odd but it's good to confuse the enemy. If my enemy is obsidian, it's a major food! Buy 3 scepter! And throw Bloodstone. His ulti wont effect me. Bout the arcane orb... Hmm. Spam cswarm, silence, orchid, ulti, cswarm. G.G!

Aghanim's scepter is waste of gold on DP since it doesn't improve her ult; Better try combos like refresher and Dagon, or EoS and Guinzoo; otherwise Orchid is really good for her

I buy aghanim scepter because to improve her health, manabase, damage and extra intelligence. Dagon might come in handy. If spam orchid, cswarm and dagon 5, the enemy should be dead if int hero. Refresher is also proven usefull to make combo, orchid, cswarm, dagon, refresh etc, but i dont use it because im talking about pushing. If i got ganked, i got my own way to escape, that is to push through 1 hero and silence them or run to the non disabler or stunner hero and teleport to the base. I knw that EoS improve her stats but i dont kill a hero with normal attack. I spam my skill. The ulti is good for creeping and harassing. I control my ulti ghost movement by Pressing "A".

What I do with her is the first 5 or so levels just get swarm and witchcraft mainly witchcraft for later then get the spirits then get the silence cause i usually don get ganked hard till later in the game when people have all there spells and the main weps that i get are just things that up her intel for all the boosts it givs and mana regen she can drain quick if your not careful the boots of travel and speed are good for running but if your good with her people will die before that

I haven't read it anywhere yet, but I have had good games when buying lothars as first item in team games. Turn on ulti before entering battle and hit an enemy and then use lothars, then stay around enemies. Works great, pretty much like lothar on Witch Doctor.

Other items are Linken and Skadi and BoT.

How to make Krobelus a killer hero:
1. Make her a Strength type hero.
2. Spam enemies with Carrion Swarm before casting Exorcism
3. Use Exorcism to destroy towers and gain more money
4. Use Carrion Swarm to gain more money
5. Built an Arcaine Ring
6. Use BKB to add that extra protection
7. Built Shiva's Guard for extra armor and Int.
8. Don't point mouse to enemy when chasing, let exorcism kill the hero for you.
9. Cast exorcism when being chased by 2 heroes, both will eventually die, cast swarm

Promise, I already done this one, actually almost everytime- Even Yurnero will die even after an omnislash- and Rattletrap, Bloodseeker, Doom or Sacred Warrior won't have a say. haha- and don't forget Omniknight!

Exorcism will usually attack enemies who are attacking Krobelus, meaning to say, every hero who is chasing you will get more damage and when the time is right cast carrion swarm, boom! haha

when being attacked by a hero with a great skill use silent. then after which use bkb, so that you will have more hp than him/her while fighting

It gives an advantage to your team because your opponent cannot use their skill for about 6 seconds. I just use these items for her:

Mekanism: Heal

Great hero. In the right hands you can end a game in 20 mins. Ive made everyone leave the game. They cant handle the carrion swarm early game!

I changed my opinion of krobelus being str! make her into an armor type character! build her:

1. Ring of Basillus ---> Oblivion Staff ---> Orchid of Malevolence - for added amplify damage and movement speed
2. Vanguard
3. Arcaine Ring
4. Boots of Speed ---> Boots of Travel
5. Shivas Guard for slowing and escaping
6. SnY - movement speed 450+
or
Assault Currass - extra armor
or
Eye of Skadi - for slow and stats
or
Linken Sphere - for nukers and stats

buy basilus and stout shield first,
then vanguard. For armor,mana,health,dmg

buy arcaine ring so that you don't have to wait for the basilus

buy boots of travel - push and def

shiva to scape or slow enemies

buy items recommended depending on situation

sell basillus then start to build to Orchid of Malevolence, it'll spam more of your enemies with the exorcism, plus more silence! haha

if she were to be an str type hero, she'll die in the late game, but with this, you might be able to live, even with meepo! one of her worst enemy! darn exorcism got all confused!

exorcism is more important than you think! enemies chasing you, specially magina would die first. Jarakal will be killed for sure! and of course centaur warchief! if towers fall easily for krobelus, it could do the same with heroes! Rikimaru is easily kill when you bring with you a gem.

But meepo, chaos knight, and all the multiplying enemies is hard to kill. But the ghost usually kill of only one. so it'll take a hard time to figure out which one is an illusion. Well other than meepo-

if there were stunners, close range. they'd die first. hahaha, exorcism shall do the job. Unleash ghost first before attacking. ghost shall attack whoever is attacking krobelus, not only what krobelus is attackingso if there were two enemies, rest assured that the one who is nearly killing you will die first. Just run until the other die as well! haha

I kill yurnero with traxex, with this strat. and yurnero already used his omnislash! double kill! haha. even mogul khan is weak against exor! :))

krobelus, like visage and dark seer, are not only pushers and supporters but extreme killers as well! just make them thick skinned! Ok dark seer is already str and int so, he doesn't really count. but still! support heroes are killers in the right hands! :)
