Strong against close range heroes but weak in long ranged. Best item to buy; Ring of Basilius, Power treads/boots of travel, Hyperstone, Senge and Yasha, BDK, Linken Sphere and BladeMail(in case of strong enemies). Thats All!!!!

You don't need bashers if your using your wolves right. I like to use S&Y, Satanic, HoT. Satanic+Feral Heart+Shapeshift=Very hard to kill.

Desolater with heart and MKB to name a few are good for him Desolater lowers armor making him and critical wolves do more damage and since wolves have bash bashers / 2 bashers work well for him

He is so hard to kill and an ambush hits hard with invis wolves.

yea, u need bashers for this hero + wolves = permastun. i like lvl 4 wolves with the invis, u can send them to harrass heroes to attack towers and they can sneak past them. PT, Buriza, Basher (1 or 2), assault curiass if u can afford it.

Power Treads, SnY, Basher, Basher, Satanic. As for the last Item, I prefer the bloodstone. That way incase they do kill ya, you'll come back alot faster

lycan is not a tank, i recommend s/y, vlad, mkb, buriza and maybe rapier for late game

MKB will cancel out the effects of the wolves bash

favhero, the Lycan IS a tank. If you build his skills right, you can have a little over 2000 hp when in normal form butt nekkid. The only reason i add satanic to mu build is to make him an UBER tank.

thia is my favourite hero. The item build i use for it are BOT, S&Y,Mask of madness,cranium basher, HOT & battlefury. You can replace S&Y with buiza or assault cruises (i dont remeber its name completely). If going head on with an intelligence hero like rhasta or slayer etc BKB can replace S&Y. Believe me u will be unstoppable. When playing against my friends most of the time i get double or triple kills.

I usually get BoT, HoT, Bashers and a hyperstone. Or substitute the bashers for desolator and use your wolves carefully. Though sometimes micro managing on the battlefield can be tricky. I've seriously dominated games with this hero, you just have to use him wisely. Also great for chasing.

Btw, if your game goes long and you pick up a satanic. With his attack speed + crit in wolf form he's nearly unstoppable.

Actually the wolves are very important for him..

moon fang.. looses 3/5 of her life just by one wave alone by the wolves.. so as kardel and vengeful and so on and so forth.. can even kill bradwarden with 5-6 tarasque..

Is this mean that dmgs from divine rapiers, basher, mkb etc cannot be amplified?

basher has 3 strength from gauntlets. its the stats that get amplied, not the bonus damage received from an item.
for example with the basher, since it grants 3 strength, ur hero gains 32% more damage of 3 strength, which is .96 more damage. the additional 30 damage from basher doesnt get amplified.

I had 10-0 with treads,basher,vlads,bkb,sny and bf UNSTOPPABLE!!

I love mele heroes, this guy was alrdy good and in the log of 6.48 the wolfs got some armor, dunno how much but i hope they can stand a few more hits,

very powerful, but if u screw up the beginning, u will never have a good chance
to gank, etc.

Basher, HoT, BoT, is my recommendation item build for Lycanthrope...it is mone of my fave heroes!

I only have problems from illusion creating heroes, tidehunter and axe. Last time i got owned by nessaj, naga tidehunter and axe. Does anybosy have any idea.

I also forgot to mention abt mangix. His ultimate is a big problem for lycan. Need help on this.

all u need to own in a game when using lycan is power threads, heart of tarasque, sange yasha, monkey king bar, desolator or satanic and butterfly.

Using banehallow with heart of tarrasque, satanic, vanguar....totally beyond godlike.. this guy is magnifico when using shapeshift at night...

necromicon works remarkably well for him. wolves permabash, u permabash and necromicons mana burn them to prevent them from blinkling, invising, etc

he's basically a minor threat in a regular 5 on 5 early game... switch laning push is his greatest asset... can wipe a tower if left alone even for- i dont know... less than 30 seconds? more or less? it is in pushing that this fellow revs up farming. and that bad for his opponents... swear to my mothers grave... you wont want him to gain all complete items while you merely have a peny! so watch out!

if you have more money, go for another heart.

Vlad Offering is great for your wolves, makes you an excellent farmer, and also helps the team when it's time to push

Easy ownage without the last 2,but if times allows to i make 'em.He doesn't need SnY due to his already supreme MS while in wolf form.Make a basher instead and then a 2nd one.

A really good hero. Go ballisus first, then treads then vlads. At this point you can own almost anyone aound 8-12, even if you are lower level.

By the way, level wolves first! What is the matter with the person that says dont?

Not very powerful early game,but becomes unstoppable late game,if your enemies let you farm.

max out Heartskill and u have 330 ms without boots.no matter his wolves are imba:Crits,Bash(!),PermaInvis(!) and fast runspeed.4 me Banehallow is the Best midgamehero becoz of sick wolves.i bought:Headress(regenaura),Vlads(armor+lifesteal 4 wolves and enough manaregen to summon them all the time(nize),Cuirass(again armor) and boots.he is one of the most feared permabashers just buy1 or 2 basher.

I Think A Sick Build Would Be, Assult Cuirass, Heart, BoT, Vlads, and Lothars... *Assult Cuirass* for Attack Speed and Armor, *HoT* Health, and regen, *BoT* More Run speed for a good chase *Vlads* More armor, (stacks with assult) minor mana regen, and Life Steal, and finally *Lothars* with your wolves invisible, why not the lycan too?
And any extra gold, get what you think you'd need

putting support items would be good howl plus vlads =awesome sven ulti +another 32% dmg more ouch!!

he helps lich's ulti wolves with him then lich uses ulti makes it bounce and the best part it increases echoslams attack

The key items for this guy are vlads and assault. Why? Auras, auras, auras. Pimp those wolves people!

i backdoored with this guy i killed 3 towers, the world tree and almost everything in the base. I had Satanic,MKB,MKB,Battlefury,HoT,Buriza...I owned so bad that it wasnt even funny.

Once, I plazed this hero, and i died, when 3 heroes ganged me, but i got them good. Mz wolves killed them after I died. I was dead, and got a tripple kill.

what are the changed??? in 6.53??

feral heart has been nerfed by taking the movement speed bonus away. but howl is now global damage at level 4 i think.
shapeshift now gives max movement speed but shapeshift time has been reduced to 17 seconds, with a lower cooldown. wolves no longer have bash but crits have been buffed.
am i missing anything? oh his base movement speed is 305? 310?

WTF cannot be slowed, but should be longer eventhough it can be spammed at lvl3

Wow i love the new bane!!! 25% bonus atk permanently and +44 global bonus atk for really low mana is uber awesome. The wolves doing ~65 crit damage every second is so imba killing int and fragile agi heroes with ease! And the best thing is, when ur chasing a hero in ur wolf form and with ur wolf summons, they dont block u, u just run "over them"

The new lycan absolutely sucks imho.. no stun, rly low shapeshift time + howl sucks...

Howl is now global. "An eerie loud howl grants an inner strength to all player controlled units." All player controlled units means every non computer unit.

i must say lycan is my fav hero^^^^^^ name anyway i would say hes also probaly one of the cheapest heros in the game with

at this point not only is cheap but at around 6-11 u should start doing full time hunting and start getting alot of $ with crit stun and life steal u will be getting ALOT of $ to finish off with depending if thers alot of stunners

the dmg aura give to all hero in the map..
imagine lvl 4...+44 dmg...free holy dmg...
and his ulti time is reduce...although its reduce but get improve withh full speed and its also increase his wolvecompanion speed too...huhu...i think this versiontype of wolf is morel ikely to be pickthen other version...

also i dont think BoT are nessacary at all for this guy people think hes not that fast he is man BoT are a waste of money jus get treads and ull be fine with his ult his speed almost maxs out at lvl 3 ult and its only a 40 second cool down when hes in wolf form, boots of travel are completey useless unless u wanna tele which u shouldnt if u have a good build in wolf form + u can out run any hero in the game in wolf form wiether to kill or going to be killed(which shouldnt happen)BoT out of the ?
