Sand King... If you are extremely desprate for first blood, and you are playing 1 on 1, then you can buy a dagon... use the burrowstrike and then dagon!!! BAM!!!! Auto 500 damage then attack him if he not dead yet, and they run, you follow and u burrowstrike again, no hero can survive.

Does Caustic Finale affect those within a Cleave attack radius if equipped with a Battle Fury?
Cause that would be a nice piece of damage to any nearby enemy hero.

Simply put, one of the best heros in the game. Really dont need much to start owning, key is to get BKB fast. Linken Sphere, and boots of travel cause 90% of the time if you use this hero correctly you will be doing the chasing. If you still have time and getting tons of gold then go for a MKB. After that its GG cause you owned everyone and their rax are out, I have never seen myself get more than those items cause it would mean ridicolous farming and long a$$ game. My easy and fast item build,
boots of travel//BKB//Linken Sphere//MKB//and whatever else, cause at this point you will be owning.

rax, in short meaning of barracks of your enemies, in other words your teamchat log will some time see(when you are in your enemy's base of course) "atk the rax!" or "get the rax!" you know what I mean, anyhow peace

Great hero killer. Can kill lots of heroes with Epicenter. Mostly STR heroes can barely survive with it, but can be killed thru chasing and burrowstrike. A friend of mine always get beyond GODLIKE with this guy. Now I'm practicing with it, since my friend wants me to use this and he'll be using other heroes instead.

Can you use two orbs on this guy? Had Satanic on him cause I forgot about his orb.. when I was killing heroes I got lifesteal, but killing creeps I got the caustic effect.

quick question, if u had eul's just for mana regen, if u burrowstrike then cyclone then epicenter, will the hero take dmg while in the air??

Hero cycloned is invulnerable... But w8 for about 3 seconds then cast epi, the moment he goes down, he will eat all those damage from epi... TRIED AND TESTED...

SK will always have a place in my heart since he is the first guy i got to GODLIKE with :)

For me maxing out caustic finale makes him a virtual God at harassing, not to mention farming. 220 damage is more than half the damage of a Dagon, and you can do it to the opposing hero every time you kill a creep. Their only choice is to sit back and not farm, unless they're a decent ranged harasser. And if they are, build for that.

In almost every circumstance, I recommend purchasing the Hood of Defiance as fast as you possibly can, starting with the dual rings. The hood (and the components, starting with the rings) will help him greatly to stand up against ranged harassers.

Grab a point of sand storm early. Don't use it more than a couple times unless you're enemies really suck bad. Any even mildly competent enemy will get wards if you pull this more than a couple times. Don't pull the sand storm and radiance trick. It's not doing you any credit. Just kill the creeps yourself and you have 220 AoE damage, easily farming better than the radiance/ss combo.

Get yourself a battlefury. Focus on one creep. By the time you kill that one creep, all the other creeps will be low enough you can have them to a sliver, if not dead, and one more caustic will win you the entire wave.

Max out caustic first, followed by burrow-strike. Get him Vladmir's after the hood, and then go for a nice butterfly. That will give him disgusting farming and will make up for his somewhat wimpy attack speed. Next, buy yourself a cuirass starting with the hyperstone. Finish off with a nice heart if it suits you, or just go kill Roshan and get yourself an immortal.

a very good way to use the epicenter is to use sandstorm, when the opponent is in the sandstorm, use epicenter then quickly use lothar's edge.. if you timed it correctly, the opponent won't even know he is already being hit with the epicenter.. and he/she doesn't know where u are..

Hes easy to counter but. Good counter heroes are silencers like: Doom knight, Silencer, traxex. And quick stuners like: Vengeful, Leviatan, Sven,.. well the list goes on, but based on my experience the best counter for epicenter is the cyclone charges from Euls scepter, why? cuz they stop epicenter even when its already casted.

Have u herd sndking casting epicenter at far range with no enemies? Well y not try dis! Use dager of escape. while casting epicenter at far range that would be safe to acoid any hindrance that woul stop EP. While casting press shift den use d dagger of escpe to blink to the enemies. This really works cause they would not be able to stop Ep cause its already done casting.
Its really hard trying ths tecnique it also took me hardships to perfect it. Its just a litle praktis!

He is very bad against silencer.. he cant do combo spell coz of silencer's last word. But his ulti can be cancel by stun, voodoo and any disable spell. He waste the ulti

This is one of my favorite heroes mga repapips, why? I love the EPI + Blink. If your new to this hero it takes time to master epi-blink but first be reminded that it takes 2 secs casting time before it cast epicenter so 2 secs time range to cast you eules, guinsoo, stun, stun, and stunners heroes. Why did I choose Blink dagger instead of BKB? Well Sandking is not Int heroes, lack of mana and it eats alot of mana using BKB unlike blink dagger and it specialized in scape making sandking untouchable if you encounters much more stronger heroes or advanced on your level. Radiance plus Sandstorm is a goodway of defence and offense. I dont like using Lothars with Sandking, why? If you cast for example a combo which is burrowstrike+Sandstorm+Epi+Lothar yes you can do damage but the 9secs invisible is not wise instead of attacking enemies while doing epi unless you attacked enemies after it cast epi, a epi+blink is a good surprise attacked and it owns enemies. Second fav for this hero is Caustic Finale, 220 damage when it reach level 4! and sandstorm, just use your manawisely and epi+blink ayos!

epi blink would make this hero a killing machine...instead of using BKB,use blink instead...low mana cost... epi + blink = massacre!!!bwahahahaha!!!

Will sand king epicenter be cancelled if he is being attack when he is casting/channeling ? Can attacking or casting spell on sandking when he is channeling epicenter cancel his ulti ?

if sandking is channeling his ulti (2 sec)
then you can cancel channeling with new order.
if sandking gets stunned when he is channeling, then spell will be cancelled.
if some1 attacks u during channeling, epicenter wont be cancelled.
if u are already casted epicenter then u can attack enemies and move but epicenter will be still there, where u casted it

If you are fed up of losing many kills by the
epicentre power due to the enemy running everytime ; tag up with some stunner/poisoning/freezing ally hero
Also do not use burrowstrike during attempt of a sneak attack-Kelen's might work nicely!!

Since it was a random death match---
SK and DK combo ruled high time
On the level of 16 both harassed us ....
Poor me kept dying 5 times in a row,my friend 6 times ...But luckily we had rushed on all there tower in early game.
And even after 11 deaths together we won the game

GET DAGGER OF ESCAPE! the biggest key item for sk. get lvl 1 sandstorm then max out stun and poison asap. as for the item build: pers, bracer, dagger, linkensphere, heart, radiance. and it works pretty well.

Sand King is the best farmer hero I've ever used... This hero can take on a horde of creeps and finish all of them in 3 seconds. That's an easy 200 to 400 gold.

I have a question for the Epicenter and Lothar's Edge combo. Wouldn't casting SK's ultimate make SK lose the invisibility? Why then would you bother wind walking and then triggering Epicenter?

i just thought of something, what happens if you buy sheep stick:

burrowstrike, epicentre, then sheepstick or reverse.

also sheep stick kind of resolves his mana issues

u can just keep sandstorm activated, then ulti. u hav 1.2 second delay before revealed when sandstorm is gone, which cuts ur casting time to .8 second as u cant be stunned for that duration, unless ward or gem is bought.

i suggest getting a battlefury for max farming

i don think SK is dat sucks if u know how to deal with his weaknesses. U can use avatar a.k.a Black King Bar to encounter almost every skill that other characters could do to stop EPICENTER. the only thing dat i still can't manage to figure out how to deal with'em is with the use of blink skill or "Dagger of Escape". But u still can use the Blink Dagger to reduce the probability that other characters with blink skill ussually used'em to run away from epicenter. all u need to do is just cast "Blink" right away when the second injection is alrady done. (Some people told me dat EPICENTER actually need to do 3 injection b4 the epicenter will pulse on.. i don't know which one is correct). the epicenter will automatically transmit their pulse right on the spot where the SK blinked. the only problem is.. sometime u don't know which where your opponent will blink.So the only solution is, cast EPICENTER where nobody see u, and when the second enjection is done, use blink direct to your opponent. What an ambush huh?? Even without avatar, the epicenter still negate well against the stunners.

Just played him. I think the maxed out stun time of burrowstrike is about 1.5 seconds. Definitely not enough to cover the cast time of epicenter.

Hahaha sand king?, #1 weakness?...simple its abbadon, his caustic finale will only increase the chance of the sheild exploding in his face + when he uses the epicenter all abbadon has to do is use his last skill, then POOF you wint even feel the epicenter and SK is yours for the kill haha simply an easy hero to beat

@BloodBerry, Abaddon is almost everyones weakness.
im pretty sure BKBs avatar wont protect enemies from receivin damage from epicente. its not a targetted spell.

this is my new update, i figured out that even with BKB, the epicenter can still be stopped against Drow Ranger's silent skill and Soul breaker's Ulti'. but still with the right timing and strategies... they can still be defeated.

Epicenter? Powerful skill but can be stop and pwned by faceless void!

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GET ANY LIFESTEAL ITEMS.
Your orb effect from the caustic finale is in effect so your lifesteal won't work.
It'll probably work on heroes though... but that's not important.

radiance/sandstorm isnt effective, if ur going to take sandstorm put 1 point into it and thats it, all it should ever be is a last ditch escape maneuver to let your burrowstrike/blink dagger cooldown.

Nobody will ever sit in an area and take sandstorm/radiance dmg for more than a second...

hey im a pro SK user, just have a question, is it optional to have power threads or Boots of travel,,, sometimes i just go for only normal boots, and then go for kelen and after battle fury, please come with an exackly pro build, item after item

Guys i got a qeustion about epicenter(ulti).
Well at lvl 1 it does 6 pulses of 110damage, but what i wanna know is does everyone get the 660dmg then or if 2 enemies are in the range it is the 1/2 for both?..so 330 for 1hero and 330dmg for other. Or both get the full dmg of the ulti:o?

why should he? pretty useless..
your enemies run away from it anyway.. thats why its good that you are able to move with it.. activate sandstorm would be dumb.

to all those LOTHAR questions..its pathetic to use it. it wont work in private game vs skilled ppl..they just see it once in your inventory and they will spam wards or use a gem.
blink dagger provide much more versatile combinations.

*u can cast epicenter and blink in after 2 seconds

*u can blink in front of enemy to last hit him / or make a sweet burrow after blink to chase him

*2 escape mechanism

*cheaper

Hey i just played this hero i died a few times in early game but mid game onwards he kicked so much ass and i got holy shit

Sand King its a almost perfect heroe... he just lose on the less of eficience on ult ... many heroes can stop epicenter... but whit help of tornado or blink dagger you get rid of these problems... but one thing ive noticed its better you keep money at start and buy a rushed RADIANCE cose you will get rich very fast... so you can make another itens like tarrask, assault and dagger !!! try it one time... you will see how you will rush him over ther other heroes !!

It is better to use your Caustic Finale to make money and rush for a BKB to use your ult while it is still useful ( it's not that strong late game )

I remember when I was techies, Sk was using sandstorm, I plant a couple of mines down there and he died! It was funny, it forces him out of the invisibility

I have a brand new strat for him IDK IF it blows but if works out so well, sand storm can be used like this- in start get regen items and when u get to heros run to them or a liuttle past them ans sandstorm they will be forced back and will lose exp while ur storm kills the creeps, u can go radiance later and pawn i tried this worked so well unless u against like axe or pudge plz respond what u think

This hero was about to epicenter 2 of my Partners, good think I stop the Casting of the Epicenter with a lucent beam, hahaha, tolate for sandking going for a Double Kill.

Sandking is a very easy hero to use. Using the third skill, everything is possible to buy. 2 creeps die, the whole wave died. Hahaha! Believe me, try it! The ulti.. Hmm... Is best against agi, int and some str. Buy dagger. Hide in the forest, cast ulti then bling to the hotspot, bam bam bam.. DoubleKill! Or triple kill! If still alive, use ur 1st skill, target the area where more hero run on the same way, example, 2 heroes on the same way. doublekill! If all the heroes run on the same way it should be sounds like... Triple kill! ..Double kill!.. Owning! Hahah! Repeat this skill. It should be,"....... is beyond Godlike, someone kill him!"

Bout casting the sandking's ulti, some people said that buying BKB is the way to prevent his ulti being disturbed, and some also said that buying eul scepter and guinsoo is good, their trick was cyclone the enemy, cast ulti when the enemy is in the air, upon landing, the enemy got a pack of punch from his ulti and continue combo-ing with guinsoo turning the enemy into a sheep and burrow strike him, which equals to kill for them. I'll say it randomsly works! But only if u r fighting solo, if u use this trick 5on5, they will pawn u easily and being a big creep to them. Haha. It's true, coz u r wasting ur money on int build and little base damage. I prefer to use dagger, with capable of killing a group of hero and cant be countered. It also saves money. Haha! Sk with bkb, eul scepter and guinsoo, for me it's just being a big creep! Hahahahaha!

giv him arcane and fury then harass them with your burrow..he3ehehe

jst get 2 vanguard nd a HoT,
burrowstrike to them nd stun thn ulti.
vanguard blocks most of the dmg unless they stun u

Of course you can cyclone him on 1v1, but in 5v5 games you need BKB, so that NO ONE is able to stun you; and then in these big melees you get 2ble, and 3ple kills.So BKB is very much needed for his ult in case you don't have a suitable ally - Enigma, Treant, Magnataur

Hi erm heres my item build,correct me if i am wrong 1st i will get a PT coz sandk atk speed is rather low,next i get BKB coz it prevents getting stun when epicentering.Next battlefury(farming and rise mana),after that arcane ring(so as to harrass with burrow strike)5th item i go 4 radiance(so it stacks with epicenter)last item lothar so after casting 2sec epi i turn invisible.

My strategy is basically this,turn BKB on,burrow towards enemy,epicenter after casting time done lothar edge turning invisible.By then enemy should be running and i just cling on them and let epi and radiance do its job.After epi ends and enemy haf not die(pretend hat the tower is quite near) i arcane then burrow for finishing.It works bter if its in a crowd.Radiance effect spreads a large AOE and the enemy would not know where are u.Plus it backstabs :D

supaplecs mabe this build will give jou meny damage but jou will be wery low in hp and jou will be esaly pownd i sugest that in place of vladimir jou buy tarasqu that will make more powerful this character pc i tried to buy vladimir for sand i think ther is no point of it

dude , that is the point , the vladimir ill keep you alive , with your buriza and high dmg you will steal a lot of HP , so you don't need tarasque believe me , and if you are close to get killed just blind or use sandstorm or escape with burrowstrike

eweryone thinks in his way i dount now i think that kelen and vladimir is pointles for sand hi needs more hp and armor

if you sand storm next to an oppenent you will still get damaged

after u bought these stuff, stun the poor noob then alt, arcane then refresher the stun and alt

boots (sometimes I don't even get em)
dagger (ulti + blink in)
perseverance then bfury later
(bfury = farm + cleave multi heros, once you got gold you can buy whatever you like)

if I have a friend playing combo magnataur with me game ends in 30 mins 100% of the time

Prefer going for Battlefury than Linken's.. BKB does the job for SK's ulti.. You don't need the extra +15 stats.. +65dmg+cleave is much better.. No power treads.. You need BOT.. And radiance is best for SK.. 120 dmg/s is nice.. Also almost 2 sec of revealing after sandstorm can synergise with your ulti in some cases.. SK is owns.. My build:1) 2 Bracers+boots.. 2)Preserverance 3)BKB 4)Battlefuty 5)BOT 6)HOT 7)Radiance.. Harass with caustic finale!!

why not get lothar's edge(using windwalk) as an escape item after sandstorming ? It can ensure your escape from enemy.If you use kelen's dagger to blink out of the sandstorm , you are still visible and there is still chance that the enemy can chase up to you with stun or whatever. Btw , does lothar's edge windwalk make u invulnerable to AOE spells ?

No , you still can be killed if you are invi , once , in one game , I was raigor and my enemy was gondar i left him with low hp and then he use wind walk and then i use fissure and killed him , i just guess where he was going , doesn't matter if you are invi , an AoE spell can kill , even Rot from pudge , radiance too , aura from dirge too , impale , purification from omniknight and a lot of spells

But getting lothar's edge gives more assurance of escape right ? caus most AOE spells dun have a big area. and lothars give u more speed in running away from the AOE

I tried once Lother on sand king and it's a waste of money IMO , buy kelen dagger and when you try to escape use :

1.Sand storm , walk away from sand storm 1,5 fade time , when you become visible use burrowstrike and after that use kelen , but now depends what kidn of enemy you have.....but in most of time you will get away safe.

Try my build :

When playing 1v1 or 2v2

1. Treads

3. Battlefury
4. Eul (Use this instead of Kelen , cast cyclone on enemy hero , 2.5 sec durection . while he is in the air you cast Epicentar , when cyclone is done your enemy will be in the core of epicenter and then cast Burrowstrike)

If playing 5v5 :

1. Travel
2. Battlefury
3. Kelen
4. BKB
5. Tarasque
6. Shiva / Cuirass (bcoz Sand King has low armor he needs something like this , your choice

Sand king one of the best could be said. Harras using caustic finale could prove fatal against melee enemy hero. (in that lane) range hero quite good enough if the hero is in range. Wait till epicenter (level 6). Then start farming heroes.
