I agree with BlackWolf because I usually don't max Rot until I hit level 20+. I get a level 1 Rot and then get 2x HoTs and a RoH (Linken's) so I can perma-Rot. :) 8.5/10

i dont think you should get rot during early game, you dont have enough hp to use it.

I like hook+rot+disember, because you CAN activate rot while disembering. This way, your target will be near you and activating rot is very easy... (so the target won't be out of range when you activate rot) /// Why I pick rot in the early game? Because, this way, you can have it ready for midgame. It is a decent damage boost for the combo, plus it makes chases a lot shorter. /// Hmm, faceless? Nah... only in the very late game with permabash, and if he goes for that you have RoT (flesh heap + aegis = you take less dmg from rot than he does) and blademails. He can make an escape, especially if has some bracers, but he has very low HP. He might be able to escape with time walk, yes. If I recall right, it was so that if you get Aegis before flesh heap you get something like +8% more magic resistance than by not doing so... I think it stacks, but you just get less magic resistance if you get it after flesh heap. Not sure thought, would be nice to have someone to confirm

Good strat but with someone like pudge, you need to add a few screenies and explain meat hook a bit more... I suck with meat hook and hoped to find help here... This is quite a thorough guide but I'm pretty sure half of us just want to learn to hook....

Although in ur "hunting list" in mid game, i dont agree with some of them namely :

Jakiro , twin head dragon : his hp is above average and ur combo wont kill him. His combo however can kill u . Dnt hook him in w/u allied help

Faceless void : too many escape mechanism to grant a succesful gank.

Well most of the Dark Terror players that I have seen rush for treads - mom -bashers, so they won't have high HP and will get instakilled with the combo... Yeah, some players might add bracers, but that's rare. Plus, not many of the Dark Terror players choose to get a high level of Time Walk early, so you might be able to re-hook him. Luna Moonfang's Eclipse can kill Pudge in early game

Meat Hook(takes luna to a far empty place w/o enemy creeps)+Rot(damages pudge and also luna but luna is fast enough to escape death)+a very quick Eclipse will be shot before he uses dismember and also to avoid further damage from rot (while pudge is rotting he'take 1200 damage because 4 lucentbeams can be shot in Eclipse per unit and the place is empty of enemy creeps so the eclipse will not be split on other enemies)+Lucent beam if he's still alive.

Yes. So can Yurnero. Watch out when you hook those, make sure you have a place where there are creeps/allies around, because otherwise you are asking to die. Her ulti cancels disember because it is based on the one target nuke she has and that one-target nuke has a ministun. But those two heroes have low HP (Juggernaut and Moon Rider) so you can try to hook 'em, but find a bit different place then.

for the heroes u said that have low hp in ur mid game section, i personally use a dagon because then you can 3 hit those heroes, but tahts just my opinion

you information about pudge is good but i prefer ring of basilus 2 vanguard at start then boots of travel "kimmelimen" hook rot dismember is a good choice becoz rot can make an opponent slow ..and why vanguard bcoz vanguard can block some damage when using rot and also block the damage of your enemy and the bottle thing it's useful but its up to!!

i think getting rot in the beginning is important, because u may not have much hp, they have even less, the 20% slow owns them

ur guide is good but i dont agree with some targets that u can easily kill..u should have first know the skills of the hero ur targeting just like dark terror..he can easily timewalk on the rot dismember..but ur guide is good

i usually fust dismember then rot when the enemy is off guard and when there is no creeps between you and your enemy i hook right after. since he cant move its an easy hook. dagon works good with him too for final damage because its range

First items should be Ancient Tango of Essifation, Circlet of Nobility and
Chicken

Then Boots of Speed, Empty Bottle & Bracer x2

I agree almost 100% with your "not to get" items. Esp. Vanguard is overrated on him, imo.

Yes, dagon sucks on pudge, I took it for the fun factor only (when the game is just a joke). Don't take it in a game you're really trying t win.

Necrobook... I've seen some "necrohookers", it works OK, but it's not the best way to play it. I rarely take it. But sometimes it's good to play in a different way.

The VERY, VERY good change for pudge (althought minor, but you can feel it) is that you can now buy the bottle from the new secret shop! No need for chicken, really.

and btw.... about Observer wards... are you talking about the Bengal_Tigger ward spots? Yeah, those (spots) are good, but I didn't want to copy/paste his guide. I think that someone else (like lich) who needs the wards more than you could buy them. Wards are nice especially at the rune spots and sometimes in the woods (bye bye neutral creeping).

About the hood, I am not sure if it's a must. Got to try it and see how much it affects.

Good strategy, I'm trying to think of a useful way to use the book of necromicon...

Also, I prefer using boots of travel instead of power treads, as they boost your speed more and also allow for teleporting, allowing you to unexpectedly WTFhook an enemy in a different lane who thinks they're safe because they just saw you grind up their ally in the center lane.

Linkin's sphere, though expensive and containing a bunch of unneeded agility points, is mighty useful for pudge as well, because right after being hooked, most enemies panic, stun, and GTFO. Without that stun, they should be toast.

sigh, antimage with Hood of defiance, Spell shield, and see how much damage he takes from your rot, youll end up killing yourself if you fight anti mage, lol

i really love to use pudge, not becaue i think he is the strongest. but because it is fun and cool when i launh a meat hook at my enemy. hero with little hp like rylai will lose significant amount of hp taking

YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOUR STRATEGY BECAUSE AEGIS IS NO LONGER PURCHASABLE, IF YOU KNOW THIS, ADD IT TO YOUR STRATEGY. SAYING SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF: "HEY LET'S GO KILL ROSHNAN SO I CAN GET AN AEGIS AND SURVIVE WHILE TANKING THEIR WHOLE TEAM!"

why not arcane ring? for all the hooks... no lack of mana. bcoz with two hooks.. your mana will be gone... dats wut i farm for the first thing in the game wen i get pudge. nulls work also. really useful. =)

I Have 1 Comment for your strategy about facing meepo because his net disables butcher's ulti & and can easily make you focus 1 meepo and get it running back while the other 3 ones continues killing you with net and slow

OK may be butcher can own in early game & and at very late game against meepo in 1 vs 1 but don't forget meepo has a good advantage exp & gold after lvl 6 he gets a boost and in a simply good game for him he can be lvl25 when the others are just lvl15 and with his base built is very easy to get dressed.

Butcher is all about killing in the middle game. Meepo clone will get killed very fast at that stage of the game, and if you hooked him from distance, there will be no mekasmn heals.

The range is 1000. It can't be improved any further. You can test the range in single player mode.

I would advice try out the practise map for Pudge.

* u MUST kill carry heroes( ex.agi,sven)during early-mid as much as possible or else you'll be in deep $hit during late game. grab a buddy if need be

noob u need Flesh Heap from the start becose at lvl 7 if u have Flesh Heap lvl 4 u take on 5creeps 0.6str and u can kill lots of creeps with rot so think about it k? belive me 0.6 its not so much but it can make deference betwen life and death many times with many heroes i die and my enemy was close of 10life so think about if i had another strike ...that 5life can be useful belive me !!
