I used to go there but sometimes I lag (my PC sucks) but I may get a new one or an upgrade and I will be playing almost everyday.

I hope arwinchinchin will get somekind of a note from mods.

I do agree with some points in your guide, including mjollnir and arcane ring.

but...

First off, S and Y sucks. It is easy to build and it has good, stat-giving materials. But the recipies just suck. You pay 2200g (the recipies) for +10%ms, maim and +16 damage. Bad deal. Especially when you are getting two orb effects (which won't stack btw).

Secondly, you shouldn't, atleast imo, pay 900g for void stone. After the arcane ring, there is no real need for it.

Also, stat items are good for early game. Branches and a bracer are pretty good. I personally wouldn't get boots that early.

These are just my thoughts. Thought I'd like to see your view.

I see where youre coming from with respect to the bracer and the branches, its a good idea but the two orb effects are not in the same build, its either S&Y or Mojollnir. The S&Y imo is good but all who doesnt agree with me can get Eye of Skadi.

well in my opinion i usually start the battle with normal shooting arrows, when the opponent's hp is around half, activate starfall, and most probably he will start to run, chase him and when there are no more creeps nearby, activate elunes arrow, wait and leap then finish him off with starfall or arrows =)

arwinchinchin is going to be mauled by admins. Wait, the guide. Umm, very good, pretty much how I play her. Except for the starting and early items. Skills, fine, although most would argue to max out two skills (like most heroes) - I get lvl4 of Starfall and Elunes Arrow by lvl8. No exceptions. But thats because I stack a DAGON on them. Controversial but it works very well. Thats when my build turns into yours - Mjollnir/Skadi/SnY/Buriza, maybe a Perseverance. I find the Dagon handily boosts my mana pool with POTM so I don't need an Arcane, but I reckon I could try it out. Arcane + Pers is questionable.
Buuut, as I've said countless times the last week or two, a hero is more defined by skill. So: the main guide is great. Screenshots - everyone likes screenshots. Skill usage - well explained. Hero pros/cons. Its all here, and then POTM is a damn sick hero to play - nuker and DPS. I reckon you've done pretty well. 10/10

Thanks man, the ting is u dont really need the pers if u have arcane ring but I just threw it in anyway. Items alone dont make a hero it is the skill within the player.

Hmm pretty much how i would play Potm. But i would highly recommend the second build and replace the HoT with Butter.
High attk spd + Crits + high chance of 200 chain lightning = GG

Good Guide but I disagree with a few points. I think that another of PotMs' worst enemy is the BloodSeeker. With his ulti your leap is useless and so is your invis. I also think on option B items that you dont need a HoT. I would Take out the Heart and add a Hyperstone so your Mjollnir and Crit will go off more. Good job though. 8/10

Yes if the arrow travels longer the better chance you have of a long stun and the dagon is a good idea for early game to increase your mana pool.

You can pump arrows first but be sure that you will hit the target because it has a long cool down and the pers isnt really that needed if you have the arcane ring but some people get the void stone when they are constantly using their skills mainly star fall.

If you mean what i think you mean then what you should do is stick with the allies that go good with you such as heroes with a slow spell or an AOE spell and just try to stick in the last hits with your star fall or arrow on the dieing heroes. Ask your allies if you can get the KS first before you do it and this will result in your gold increasing and when you get your items you can begin to own. Dont solo multiple heroes with this hero unless you have you items.

One thing about mana usage - don't spam unless its going to hurt them more than it hurts you (ie the mana loss doesn't result in a fatal blow on you cause you can't stun them, or you make them retreat and you enjoy a solo lane to farm in for 2 minutes, etc).

oh hell no!! fuck no !!! u need either mantam style or mkb , if bloodseker is hunting u all u do is image and rape that bitch , for low lvl items get dagon , cuz if ur str8 nukes no1 with take u on.

str8 nukes n images "will" be gg , and if u gna use ur arrow lots dnt ever lvl ur ulti , lvl to 12 and jst get leap starfall , arrow then combojise with dagon. thats 330 + 400 + 360 = gg thats enuf 2 take down bradwarden

i think the gross spell dmg done is: 300 (starfall) + (150 200AoE starfall) + 400 (dagon1) + 360 (e.arrow) = 1210 spell dmg!!! wakakaka juz a small thing i pointed out

well...since Skadi isnt an orb effect for some ranged guys i suggest doing Skadi and Mjollnir for slow and DPS

but anyway this is a good guide...

i think you can survive doombringer by buying lifesteal items like vladimir's offering. while being doomed, attack to restore the hp back.

One of the tigers favourite enemies is someone like cm who can trap u in ice or naga in net or something like that cuz u can just leap out!

Mirana is really a great killer wherever and whenever.. I usually get a dagon during early games, it's really effective - you would be likely killing heroes evertime... I agree with S&Y it's also effective... nice item build.. Mirana is a great hero killer in whatever situation of the game may it be in early games, mid games or even in late games.. it's great, she's really a very skillful and powerful hero and she does also help her allies very well too..

sny is bettter for hero killing

lighting hammer good for farming.(if you get lucky enough to get a chinlighting after you starfall you get money for 1 whole wave.) This is not always good for chasing heros by your self. all you have is arrow to stun and it has a long cooldown. Yet its good for huge 4v4 or 5v5 hero battles.

sny is too slow them after an elunes and arrow. and keep on attacking them til they die.your speed helps you perma slow them.

Critical helps sny.(helps kill faster)
Butterfly increases both items with the atk speed and the 30% evasion is needed because she has low hp.
arcane to spam skills.(No point in harassing heros or killing them if you dont have mana."

I disagree with him, I think she needs a SnY, skadi is way more expensive and you would be having to be killing, farming, creeping 24/7.

better to change mjolnir to butterfly:no need to use fork lightning.

I think Skadi is much more better than SnY....It slows the enemy and u can kill/catch the enemy much easier and 25 to all stat that will give u more HP anywat nice start 10/10

nice guide...for me, i get mekansm instead of perseverance because arcane ring provides me with enough mana to combo with starfall, elune, leap, and then starfall again...also, arcane ring provides me mana and mekansm provides me health, so they work well together...i get her MKB instead of buriza, but i am gonna try buriza the next time i play her. thanks for the guide.

but i don't quite agree with S&Y and HoT though, i would more prefer MKB / Buriza, so that my build will be MKB / Buriza, butter, arcane, power treads (i more prefer this than BoT since she has leap and you can change it with TP) and mjolnir (all not in an order). Even with this build she's already really dangerous.


But overall, a very good and helpful guide, so i'll give it 8/10

the arcane ring/perseverance is highly questionable... i`d rather go for mekansm/arcane ring. My item build is thid:

Assault Cuirass
Mekansm
Arcane Ring
Boots of Travel
Stygian Desolator
Monkey King Bar

It`s not impossible to do this item build, because PotM is a very good farmer... Just farm and asist... Thats the key. If you really wanna go for the kills, you have to master your skills;)

with your starting items and build, against good players you'll die at least once before hitting level 6.

mirana has crap hp, nuke combos will tear her apart. you need 1 level of leap earlier, to prevent those nuke combos that will kill you. also, gauntlets/bracers instead of a very early boots, more flasks, less clarities unless laned with an ally. being a fragile hero you should play defensively early game, while farming for your items.

no comments on item build (lots of different possibilities for mirana) except that perseverance is not needed. you dont need the mana regen if you have arcane ring, and for hp regen, i think a vanguard or defiance will be better.

Hmm...Im still having a hard time using Elunes arrow?...Lol Not hundred percent perfect unlike my pudge hook.

This is really a great guide. I tweaked somethings to the guide but it's still works well. I tried it out in 2 different games and would have won both but my teammates were idiots =P

The item build is ok but i have been playing mirana alot and tbh Manta style is the best orb effect item for this hero.

hmmm. first of all i think you need to get leap earlier than level 6 cuz usually at a 2 v 2 lane ur gona be the fav. candidate for a kill especially for nukers cuz of ur low hp. and i think arcane ring for this hero is not suitable, cuz arcane ring cant compensate for the mana cost of starfall, its not like magnus wave that is really cost effecient. i think perseverance first den go directly to linkens. and ul have good mana pool after that, plus leap and a linken shes near unkillable. and killing strat is really hard to do, i think arrows goes first, run towards the enemy as soon as you cast the arrow, dont wait for it to hit then if your near you could leap then starfall. cuz if you leap first then starfall, basically you lost the arrows element of surprise, cuz if you use it last the enemy tend to be more cautious and its really hard to hit somebody if they are cautious. i think the sand king you killed in your pics is a noob, first of all, no impale? ok no mana, but running straight away is dumb against potm, you know she has an arrow so he should have been running zigzags or in an erratic way. and they do that arrow as last hit in a combo is so damn hard. and hero killing for this hero is equal creep reading, what you do is, if the opponent is melee the better to creep read, if you got more number of creeps then act naturally, dont move left and right cause hell be cautious, just wait for his last creep to die and simultaneously cast the arrow, thats you plus your creeps hitting him plus the starfall. that's kill. if your enemy is range, the first thing you do is kill the range creep then again wait for the last enemy creep to die then simultaneously cast the arrow, and again do this only when u have more creeps. usually i surprise alot with these tactics. nway i give your strat 7/10

you should get leap at either lvl 2/3 coz of mirana's low hp. Instead of making perse after arcane ring, a better option for me is vanguard to avoid instant death. There was this one game that i was using venge and my partner in the lane was lina, by the time the two of us reached lvl 6, i would first stun mirana then lina would stun after me then hit laguna blade. Mirana would be dead in an instant, and was not able to use her leap. So, it is also important that we should boost niranas hp a little.

i play mirana a lot and honestly, i use her with all my maximum capabilities. just settle between arcane ring or perseverance. i prefer perseverance. your item build can only be found in your fancy dreams or only if your game lasted about 1 1/2 hour where both teams are just equalizing pushes/neutral creeping/ filling their inventories......

Arcane ring is a must! Mana problems are no more. Then go for S&Y , built sange first for HP boost.

i prefer desolator rather than the eye of skadi.. why use skadi when you can stun the enemy then you also have the leap.

why i choose arrow? not starfall...
first of all, starfall has very high mana cost.. and as what you have said, mirana has not the luxury of mana in the early game.. on the other hand, eulenes arrow only costs 100 mana at all levels.. and the most nice thing about it, it has "precise" damage... i repeat, "precise" damage... 360 at lvl 4.. 360 precise damage for only 100 mana? that's cool.. so if you go stats rather than starfall, you can spam this arrow skill.. when the game starts, buy ring of basilius, then before showing yourself to your enemy in that lane, have a clear shot on him and spam an arrow.. he will be surprised seeing that arrow without having seen you first.. lolz..

Nice guide.... i like it! but, i agree with catayasgenro, i would max out arrow first. but instead of stats, leap would be better. Because mirana has low hp..... but go with your own build. it's just a suggestion.

i suggest that you learn leap only when you are already level six.. why? this is the time when oppenents have already ultimate skills and they may hurt u badly if u dnt have leap at this period.. i would like to go stats first so that u can have additional hp and mana for you to spam your arrows with "precise damage"..

Early game, farming:

I take your same skills, when starfalls are on lvl 2 to farm good i damage all creeps' wave to low without giving last hit then i STARFALL and get a lot of gold from 'em..

some people say this tatic sucks, but i do always like that, and i take alwasy 5 /5 creeps kill = 200 gold for wave. I buy a lot of clarity potions and i take a lot of gold, then i get arcane and i do the same until 2500 gold for start making S&Y!!!

Those who said arcane ring is for noob really doesn't use it and didn't ever try how beneficial arcane ring is. Of course you can sell arcane ring if you have boosted up your mana pool and buy bigger guns

Nice men... are Idea is very much close... because my build is this... Power Threads,MKB,Mjolnir,Tarasque,Buriza... U can change S&Y to MKB because MKB have improved stun,and +attack speed, its very useful have a change of doing +damage... MJOLNIR.. for FARMING,, 1starfall and attack can kill creeps if chain lightning cast.. Tarasque for high life and deffend for any heroes that have many combos... I hope u can update ur guide... in my rate 1-5 its 4... (^_^)

I think playing with this hero you should be able to get a kill at lvl 7 if you maxed out your starfall and at least a leap, starfall not only deal 300 dmg but anyone near it (200 range) would get hit twice and anyone in between 600-900 range would get hit ONCE more(50% chance) but half the dmg so your starfall could deal either 600 dmg easily or 450 dmg if you're lucky so Crustal Maiden or low hp heroes should be killed when your lvl is 7-10

you need the pers or you will run out of mana even with arcane. the regen doesnt hurt either. upto that point the guide is soso pro. after that you can pretty much get whatever doesnt really matter. aslong as you farm good early like stated then you'l own

Nice guide~ but instead of getting burize you shud get Eye of Skadi. And instead of BoT..you shud get the new AGI treads.

So main items:
AGI treads
Mijillinor (sorry for spelling)
and Skadi

Reason being is because Mirana has very low HP..with skadi..at lvl 25 she has around 2500 HP. thats good enough for a AGI hero.

Replace Buriza with Desolator.
Also replace the BoT with Power treads.
Upgrade your perseverance with bloodstone over time.

erm.. for the skill build u shouldve noted that if ur a good arrower then replace the arrows with the starfall. arrows are actually better if u can aim from 800 range.

u should try getting s and y with another y. increases attack speed and actually gives u more ms. most people think it doesnt stack

this is the best strategy i've ever seen so organized and it totally works if ellune's is used by a master but if you edit why is lucifer a threat? mirana is a pure killer with mjolnir and backstab and lucifer is melee and can be easily harased.

and then a perseverance you already have mana regeneration(arcane -remember?) so if u need HP regen,go get a vanguard

Ok, this guide is totaly unrealistic, item build is too expensive, not to mention that there's a better one, less expensive one and more effective.This item build costs around 19200 gold, which is almost imposible to farm.

good guide man.i prefer treads then BoT because she needs ++attack speed more than ++ movement speed.her leap can ++her speed and efective to chase enemy + elune arrow combo.btw great guide overall.9/10

honestly? i think arcane ring is waste of money.. if you wanna harass.. her range is already imba the way it is.. use her range to harass; I've noticed arcane ring is a waste of 1700 gold, i normaly get treads 1 wraith and a bottle early game then rush for my skadi. Believe me skadi works wayyy better than SnY plus you become more tank having 2000 hp (at least) by lvl 16! then i get Helm.. lifesteal works like a charm with her plus the 20dmg!? EoS and HoD stack! then bfly then satanic gg

I Think you should add Dark Seer to best allies, imagine that seer uses ion shell on himself + he got a radiance.. then he goes towards the enemy and stand just by them, their hp tics down 100hp/sec then when they have really low hp he uses vacuum and then PotM comes in and arrow the runners.. imba

i feel that arcane ring is a big NO NO.too expensive,a empty bottle shld be get instead.BoT? u don really need that much speed.u have elune arrow to stun enemies and leap tp chase them down,wat more can u ask for?same thing for SnY,u don really need maim.If u got gold for arcane ring and SnY,why not items like desolator or MKB?Treads is good as it helps u with AS and last hit better in early game.to me skaidi is more for pub games.good to see u put the mojonir,IT ROCKS if u got butterfly first..

...i find ur skill build a bit out.elune arrow and starfall first den leap at lvl 6? starfall cost lots of mana for potm already.arrow+starfall=nuke potm? lol.it is too much a burden for her to use both as she has low mana early game.leap at lvl 6?ppl will pawn u loads befor u reach lvl 6.leap is ur escaping tool for early game and u skip that.u said to avoid nukes,how to when u don even have leap? i think u shld review ur skill build in order to improve ur guide...

yes,max aroow first as it is ur "SECRET WEAPON".it stuns,kills,good for ganks and saving an ally running away from enemy!(if ulti is no yet pump or cool down isn't ready.this skill is like no other is dota...

...but why arrow first?360 damage at a low cost of mana is imba i tell u.Potm has low mana,so its great and u might get a kill easily with a good shot early game.leap for escaping and gotten at lvl 2. elune and leap is a good combo too,EVEN WITHOUT STARFALL. 5 sec stun can do wonders,jus shoot ur arrow and leap to the poor enemy to shoot him down in 5 secs.practice makes perfect=)don spam ur starfall,use starfall as a finsher as it is waste of mana if a kill is not gotten using it...

...ulti to get onli at lv 10.why?MANA DUh.realise i keep emphasizing about mana?cos it is a big problem for POTM with skills which all requires mana.jus get one lvl of ulti is good enough cos each lv increases the manacost.if ur allies dies and blames u for not saving his ass cos u nvr pump ur ulti at lv 6,its his fault for not savin himself.use ulti for escaping and ganks i love it when all are invis and surprises the enemy and ganking the poor fella...

the three orb items are used for different situations,mojo for those irritating images,treants etc. deso for tanks and skaidi for quick runners, balannar etc. all thse items are gotten in order.DON SKIP BUTTERFLY FOR THE ORBS YET.faster AS means more lightning for mojo,more damage amplifying for deso
and skaidi doesnt gives u much damage.
